That headline should read, "No it was NOT over 1,000...." nm
nm
"Old democrat," guess that means you are a new republican. sm
Still a thorn in the republican side.
That is a terrible, terrible thing
How sad that you think this way. So negative.
And have you read the Republican/right-wing posts?

For those who haven't read FOCA w/o a republican twist...

should have said TYPING error.
Yes I am an MT, 12 years now, 99% accuracy.  Didn't know I was being tested here.  Just typing fast between jobs.  Sorry we can't all be perfect like you dear!
I give up...I keep typing 7 and it keeps changing it.
xx
oops was typing faster than usual - I meant
you had already decided before the debate began that you believed Biden had won.
whoops, typing too fast and made errors .. be 4 the spelling police get me

No, I think it is terrible. It is way too far. And
not that you were implying it, but Obama had nothing to do with this (though I have a feeling he will somehow be blamed). The people that did it are some group, which I can't remember the name of off hand. They have done this before as evidently they hacked into some Scientology accounts a while back.
They really should add "no responsibility"
to their talking points.
Just like O saying "no earmarks," right? nm
xxx
yes terrible tragedy
Well, you picture me and my life all wrong.  Yes, terrible disaster..  However, the ones to blame have to be pointed out and everything gone over in detail so it never happens again and so New Orleans and other cities/states at risk will get the money they should from the federal govt to protect the land and the people who live there.  You can bet if this happened under a democratic president, you guys would be screaming for his head by now.  However, I dont think it would have had the same devastating effects, as no democratic president is going to give tax cuts to the rich while waging a war.  I have always been taught, you need to keep a little bit of money for emergencies.  Bush, with all his family money, Im sure never was taught that.  Just run up the bills, there is always money to pay for it all.  Well, there isnt and there wasnt and the federal govt cut back on aid to all states due to Bush's extreme deficit.  The people are in agony now and it will get worse before better and the rest of the country will begin to feel the pain when gas shortages start happening and gas is $8.00 or more/gallon.  We probably will have other shortages also as the gulf is a major port.  Then the rage will be turned to where it should be turned..to Bush.
many terrible things are done in
the name of Christianity. That doesn't make Christianity terrible.
That's rich, isn't it? "No President is above the law..."
Bill Clinton ring a bell?
make that "no way part of what he's about to

So I guess your motto is, "No, I can't".

Let me get this straight. You're saying "no job = no buy"? But....
I didn't think you needed any money to buy stuff like houses and things like that. I thought the only question was "Do you have enough ink in your pen to sign this pack of lies - er, I mean, these loan documents?"
"now way". Did you mean "no way"? Yeah,

Alcoholism is a terrible disease. sm
I wish him only the best and hope he is able to find help and solace.  He is a deeply religious man.  He needs to lean on that.  As for the rest, having been raised in a family where alcoholism was very prevelant, I have learned to turn a blind ear to things people say when they are intoxicated.  It's between him and God.  He was making a film about the holocaust, so it's kind of hard to believe what he said was true.  More likely alcohol and the moment talking.  I know many in Hollywood are attacking him, but many are not.  I wish him the best.
oops, terrible mistake, but looks like some
xx
Right. Because Obama has done such a terrible job as president....(sm)

Oh, wait....no...it can't be....the audacity of this man.  He isn't even president yet, and just look at how he has changed this country.  He has given people hope for a brighter future....the nerve.  Things were much better when we could just torture people at will, invade who we want, pi$$ off the world, and not have to deal with those pesky civil rights.  Oh, those were the days!

Keep counting.

Isnt he terrible? I tried watching too and he comes
nm
Ummm....yeah, it would be so terrible..(sm)

If we just "let it go" then we have said it is okay to torture and to break the law.  We are supposed to be a nation of laws.  Those laws apply to everyone, even the former administration.

You guys constantly try to justify the war in Iraq by saying that Saadam was a tyrant (which he was) and that he was committing inhumane acts on his people.  We also ridiculed the Taliban for its treatment of women.

How much credibility do we really have to judge anyone else if we don't hold ourselves accountable for our OWN laws?

I hope the whole Bush bunch that came up with and ordered torture go to trial and are given the most severe sentence possible.  Maybe that way when other countries look at us they can see that we mean what we say instead of having a double standard for ourselves.

Didn't Obama say "NO LOBBYISTS"?
There are 12 lobbylists in his administration............but, of course, all Obama lovers will certainly defend them somehow!  They always do.
Religionopathy. Terrible, debilitating disease.

'A mind is a terrible thing to waste'. - Unfortunately,

The Mind is a terrible thing to lose

thus spats out another great repub VP choice, Dan Potatoe Quayle.

Terrible debate! Jim was not direct or specific enough in his ...sm
questions and allowed too much of the same old retoric from both candidates.
Yes, because he could not get elected no matter what he tried, like the man, terrible, worn-out, in

The Anti-Republican Republican Who is Really a Republican
The whole anti-Republican Republican ruse might have succeeded, were it not for the fact that McCain's rhetoric was at odds not merely with his own voting record - 90 percent with Bush - and his own Bush-on-steroids agenda.

Even as he was pledging to "change the way government does almost everything," the senator from Arizona announced his commitment to much, much more of the same.

He pledged to maintain endless occupations of distant lands that empty the U.S. Treasury of precious resources that might pay for infrastructue renewal, housing and job creations initiatives for hurting Americans.

He outlined trade and tax policies that would extend, rather than alter a failed economic status quo.

He reintroduced flawed proposals for health care, education and entitlement reforms that Americans have wisely rejected.

And he threatened to achieve "energy independence" by declaring:

    "We will drill..."

    "We'll drill..."

    "More drilling..."

McCain's rhetoric was that of a liberated man declaring his independence from his party's failed president and corrupt Congresses.

But his platform was that of Republican candidate who, for all of his talk of reform, offers the crudest continuity to a country that is crying out for change.

The exact quote is "What a terrible thing to
have lost one's mind, or not to have a mind at all.  How true that is.".....Dan Quayle   If you Google Dan Quayle, there are more quotes made by him which are very funny. Amazing how Americans form their decisions to vote for these people.
Just teach "no bullying" PERIOD and leave the lifestyle crap out of it.
I'm sorry, but you're very naive about what these children are actually being taught - i.e., that one family is "just like another" (there's a cute little song they sing about this), etc.

You want to teach kids not to be physically violent toward any other kids - fine. You go beyond that and start preaching the gospel of lifestyle equivalency and you're wandering off into the parents' domain.

Oh, yeah - I almost forgot. Get back to T E A C H I N G!!
Thought crimes, secret formulas, secret votes, motherload databases, "no lists?"
don't let the door hit you on the way out. The silence from the peanut gallery speaks volumes.
This looks interesting. A long read, so will read it when I get home from work. nm

Obviously u didnt read, I said NONE of them are moral. Read the post before spouting off.

I think you know what she means...nm

Oh, by all means, it is I who thank you.

This means nothing to me
I have seen this and it has been debated as naseum.

As far as winning in Iraq, I am not sure what we are supposed to win.

And please, don't EVER call me your DEAR again. Keep your patronizing on our own board.

Thank you.
It means nothing to you. sm
Yes, by all means, save your anger for being called dear when there it is posted in black and white what the antiwar movement did to our soldiers in Vietnam.  Lord love a duck, but I have seen it all now.
Oh, I know what it means....
It is just an uneducated, goofy thing to say...that's all.  And you should apologize to all those "grandmas" on this site who you just offended.  You are so negative!
Thanks - that means a lot
Was wondering if anyone would comment. I always question what the government feeds us, but I truly never have in my entire life ever heard our enemies say they hate us because we are free. I always think - how absurd. They just want us to leave them along and stop imposing our viewpoints on them. Thanks again.
I did not know what this means
I'm not sure if you're implying this is a good thing or not and because I didn't know what it means I looked it up. I'll write what I found out and then you can tell me if you think its a good thing or not.

Black theology refers to a variety of Christian theologies which has at its base in the liberation of the marginalized, especially the injustice done towards blacks in American and South African contexts. Black theology mixes liberation theology and the work of Paulo Freire with the civil rights and black power movements.

I had to keep researching certain terms in this because it was still confusing, so I looked up liberation theology and it states that liberation theology is a school of theology within Christianity, particularly in the Roman Catholic Church. Two of the starting points of Liberation theology are first, the question of the original sin, and second, the idea that Christians should make good use of the talents given by God, and that includes intelligence in a general sense, and in particular science.

I then looked up who Paulo Freire is and it says he was a brazilian educator and influential theorist of education. He became familiar with poverty and hunger during the 1929 depression and these experiences shaped his concerns for the poor and would help to construct his particular educational viewpoint.

There's way to much information on both these topics to write here, but to me it sounds like another positive for the Obama's Trinity Unity Church.
Sure you can. :) Means I am doing something right. lol. nm
nm
It means something to me. Obviously not to you....
stop reading my posts if they aggravate you so much. It is a free country. No one is forcing your little mouse to click but you.
Well, that certainly means you are NOT
me his character. Show me one close friend in his past without a shady background, one he does not have to defend. Everyone who has touched his life and made any sort of impression on him has warped his character. Yet, no one who is enamored with him seems to care. They do not care that he stands for nothing, they cannot tell you what his plans for this country are or how he is going to accomplish them. And, they certainly do not want to listen to anything from his past.
Ah, that means you definitely know one or more
