I saw an interview and have seen him say since that that is not the way he wants to be portrayed (like a rock star). So you are telling me now that he in fact DOES want to appear like a rock star? Well I stand corrected then. He chose the right people to design his set.
It is not insulting to suggest that people actually research things before they post them and not just take blogs and talking points for their information. Your compatriots have told me several times to do the research. I suppose it is all right coming from your side but insulting coming from mine. I get it.
But yes, go look at the votes. See how many times McCain and Bush butted heads and how many times McCain crossed party lines. How many times has Biden done that? None. How many times has Obama done that? None. As one Democrat poster posted to me below, Joe Biden knows that he has to be loyal to the party. That crystallized exactly what i have been trying to say. Yep, no matter what he takes, lying about a friend and throwing him under the bus, whatever it takes...loyalty to the party trumps everything.
And that is one area where McCain has them ALL beat. He has the guts to jump party lines for what he believes in. Because the American people have his loyalty, not the Republican party. That is something neither Obama or Biden can say. They never have, nor would they ever, jump party lines.

I think Invesco field and the whole rock star set is going to do nothing to help him trying to portray himself as a serious politician ready to lead this country. But...I will wait until I actually see it...have only seen pictures so far. But if it is anything like it looks, it will be more like a hollywood musical than a political event. Maybe it IS all about the celebrity. Kinda looks like it might be.

I saw these people last night on TV. This is an organization that has been around for awhile, its purpose being to house the homeless. It is what they do all the time, not just this disaster. They are taking people into their own homes and finding places for people to stay. Their web is sohmission.com. Check them out. They sound like an established experienced group. He said it is plausible that the entire chain of military command were unaware of what was taking place and were used as tools by the people pulling the strings behind the attack. Bowman outlined how the drills on the morning of 9/11 that simulated planes crashing into buildings on the east coast were used as a cover to dupe unwitting air defense personnel into not responding quickly enough to stop the attack. The exercises that went on that morning simulating the exact kind of thing that was happening so confused the people in the FAA and NORAD....that they didn't they didn't know what was real and what was part of the exercise, said Bowman I think the people who planned and carried out those exercises, they're the ones that should be the object of investigation. Asked if he could name a prime suspect who was the likely architect behind the attacks, Bowman stated, If I had to narrow it down to one person....I think my prime suspect would be Dick Cheney. Bowman said that privately his military fighter pilot peers and colleagues did not disagree with his sentiments about the real story behind 9/11. Bowman agreed that the US was in danger of slipping into a dictatorship and stated, I think there's been nothing closer to fascism than what we've seen lately from this government. Bowman slammed the Patriot Act as having, Done more to destroy the rights of Americans than all of our enemies combined. Bowman trashed the 9/11 Commission as a politically motivated cover-up with abounding conflicts of interest, charging, The 9/11 Commission omitted anything that might be the least bit suspicious or embarrassing or in any way detract from the official conspiracy so it was a total whitewash. There needs to be a true investigation, not the kind of sham investigations we have had with the 9/11 omission and all the rest of that junk, said Bowman. Asked if the perpetrators of 9/11 were preparing to stage another false-flag attack to reinvigorate their agenda Bowman agreed that, I can see that and I hope they can't pull it off, I hope they are prevented from pulling it off but I know darn good and well they'd like to have another one. A mainstay of the attack pieces against Charlie Sheen have been that he is not credible enough to speak on the topic of 9/11. These charges are ridiculed by the fact that Sheen is an expert on 9/11 who spends hours a day meticulously researching the topic, something that the attack dogs have failed to do, aiming their comments solely at Sheen's personal life and ignoring his invitation to challenge him on the facts. Porn star contemplates run in Louisiana U.S. Senate race
Porn star and Baton Rouge native Stormy Daniels said Monday that she wants to give voters a voice by starting a “listening tour” in Louisiana.
However, Daniels said she doubts she will actually seek public office despite an Internet drive aimed at persuading her to run against first-term Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter next year.
Daniels said her work as an actress, writer, director and dancer pays the bills more than a stint as a senator would.
“I don’t think I’m willing to take the pay decrease,” Daniels said.
But an Internet-based campaign to “Draft Stormy” to challenge Vitter has attracted national attention.
CNN.com, for instance, featured an interview with Daniels on Monday. The congressional newspaper “The Hill” also noted the push to turn the porn star into a politician.
Vitter apologized in 2007 for what he called a “very serious sin” after his phone number showed up during an investigation of the escort service operated by Deborah Palfrey, the so-called “D.C. Madam” who was convicted of running a prostitution ring and later committed suicide. He was not charged in the Palfrey case.
Since his apology, Vitter has refused to answer any questions about the incident.
Aaron Baer, a spokesman for the Republican Party of Louisiana, dismissed Daniels’ possible candidacy as a publicity stunt.
“Voters in Louisiana are concerned about real issues that require serious leadership,” he said.
University of New Orleans student Zach Hudson said the “Draft Stormy” campaign is legitimate.
“It’s not a stunt,” he said. “We have every intention of successfully drafting her.”
Hudson said he hopes a groundswell of support will convince Daniels to run.
Daniels, 29, hired a publicist to respond to inquiries about her interest in the Senate race.
She said she will play along to bring attention to certain issues and to remove Vitter from office.
Daniels is critical of Vitter’s response to his phone number being found on a Washington prostitution ring’s client list.
“I might be a slut and a whore,” Daniels said. “… but I’m not a criminal, and I’ve never been a hypocrite.”
Daniels will be in Baton Rouge in early May to dance at the Gold Club and possibly film a movie in New Orleans. She said she is open to touring the state to hear what people have to say.
Vitter’s spokesperson did not respond to two requests for comment.
Daniels is a 1997 graduate of Scotlandville Magnet High School. She said she is registered to vote in California.
Her work in the adult entertainment industry includes writing and directing films as well as starring in them.
Hudson, who has volunteered for the campaigns of several Democratic candidates but said he is not affiliated with the Democratic Party or any other party, said Daniels is a leader in a multibillion-dollar industry.
Daniels said she is hesitant to enter the race because she is concerned about making a mockery of government.
She said the focus would be on the fact that she works in the sex industry.
Daniels said she wants to bring awareness to issues such as child pornography, safe sex and the need for Internet controls to limit what children see on the Web. She has her own Web site that sells pornographic images.
She made an appearance at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., last year to push a “Restricted to Adults” label for adult Internet sites.
Political commentator and former Insurance Commissioner Jim Brown said Daniels would be just one more entry in the state’s colorful political history.
He said she might attract “a pretty good protest vote” even if she isn’t destined to serve in the U.S. Senate.
“No, she can’t win,” Brown said.
Baton Rouge pollster Bernie Pinsonat said the likelihood of Vitter being defeated is diminishing by the day.
The negative publicity that President Barack Obama is receiving on the economic package is giving Vitter a good platform, he said.
“I thought Vitter would have a tough time getting re-elected, but right now, Obama is sent from heaven,” he said.

And the thread you started above is simply false. Public service will NOT be mandatory. He's trying to bring back a "Peace Corps" style attitude to America and wants to REWARD those who CHOOSE to perform community service with help paying for their college tuition. The rich kids can still float through and don't have to do anything, but the poorer families -- and they are increasing in the USA every day with every job lost -- are offered a way to help pay for college tuition. That's hardly sinister.
"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country" used to hold a positive meaning in this country.
Maybe some Americans have gotten too greedy and spiteful for those words to mean anything today, but they still hold meaning for many of us.

child about it and explain to them that even though this lifestyle is not acceptable, they are people too and we should not treat them poorly. If parents don't teach their children and they bully gay people, dorks, dweebs, smelly kids, etc........the school has every right to punish them for acting that way whether it be writing sentences over and over, calling the parents, etc. You do not have to single out homosexuality and teach this to children as an example of tolerance.
Besides, I said below that on the news they keep talking about how same sex marriage is more accepted by people.....particularly younger people and yet here you are saying that this should be taught in schools because younger people aren't tolerant? So which is it?

I have a hectic and stressful enough life as it is, as many MTs do. I don't know anything about the other issue. I use to go to MTDaily and there was always trouble there with the ISP thing and their own prejudice. So I don't go there anymore. I suggest that might be an option for you if you feel the way you do.

I find the Muslims I know to be well educated, polite, family oriented, and very gentle people. I cannot say the same for the Christians I have met. This is based on my own personal experience, so there is no need for flaming from the right-wing Christian fanatics.
