"Girls on FILM...[na-na-na-NAA-na,]
.
Synopsis of film from its website.

The first film of its kind to chronicle the reasons behind Iraq’s descent into guerilla war, warlord rule, criminality and anarchy, NO END IN SIGHT is a jaw-dropping, insider’s tale of wholesale incompetence, recklessness and venality. Based on over 200 hours of footage, the film provides a candid retelling of the events following the fall of Baghdad in 2003 by high ranking officials such as former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, Ambassador Barbara Bodine (in charge of Baghdad during the Spring of 2003), Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell, and General Jay Garner (in charge of the occupation of Iraq through May 2003) as well as Iraqi civilians, American soldiers, and prominent analysts. NO END IN SIGHT examines the manner in which the principal errors of U.S. policy – the use of insufficient troop levels, allowing the looting of Baghdad, the purging of professionals from the Iraqi government, and the disbanding of the Iraqi military – largely created the insurgency and chaos that engulf Iraq today. How did a group of men with little or no military experience, knowledge of the Arab world or personal experience in Iraq come to make such flagrantly debilitating decisions? NO END IN SIGHT dissects the people, issues and facts behind the Bush Administration’s decisions and their consequences on the ground to provide a powerful look into how arrogance and ignorance turned a military victory into a seemingly endless and deepening nightmare of a war.

“I think this decision to disband the [Iraqi] Army came as a surprise to most of us…”
 Q:  What was your reaction?
“I thought we had just created a problem. We had a lot of out of work
  [Iraqi] soldiers.”
– our interview with Richard Armitage, former Deputy Secretary of State

NO END SIGHT alternates between U.S. policy decisions and Iraqi consequences, systematically dissecting the Bush Administration’s decisions.  The consequences of those decisions now include 3,000 American deaths and 20,000 American wounded, Iraq on the brink of civil war, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilian deaths, the strengthening of Iran, the weakening of the U.S. military, and economic costs of over $2 trillion. It marks the first time Americans will be allowed inside the White House, Pentagon, and Baghdad’s Green Zone to understand for themselves what has become the disintegration of Iraq.

Russo's film gets standing ovation in Cannes.sm

Cannes Premiere Gets Standing Ovation

Aaron Russo’s AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM

To Open Across America July 28

CANNES, FRANCE – Aaron Russo’s incendiary political documentary which exposes many of the governmental organizations and entities that have abridged the freedoms of U.S. citizens had its international premiere at Cannes and won a standing ovation. The event, which was held on the beach and filled to capacity, was open to the public and drew a crowd of people who stood along the boardwalk to watch the film.

Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, as well the former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents, tax attorneys and authors, Russo proves conclusively that there is no law requiring citizens to pay a direct tax on their labor. His film connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, voter fraud, the national identity card (which becomes law in May 2008) and the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to track citizens. Neither left nor right-wing in perspective, the film concludes that the U.S. government is taking on the characteristics of a police state. Doc will open on multiple screens in cities across the U.S. beginning July 28.

The international audience at Cannes as well as the European media has been fascinated by Russo’s fiery diatribe against the direction America is heading. The discussion that followed the preview lasted for thirty minutes. Actor Nick Nolte, in Cannes for the premiere of “Over The Hedge,” joined Russo during the event. “The information in this film is something everybody has to know”, said Nolte, who was the lead actor in “Teachers,” a film produced by Russo.

Russo, who is best known as the producer of feature films including “The Rose” with Bette Midler and “Trading Places” with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd, wrote, produced, and directed the doc. “I am disgusted by the direction America was heading,” says Russo. “I made this movie because I want to live in a free country and I want my kids and grandkids to live in a free country. The American people must abandon the myth that America is still the land of liberty that it once was.”

Russo’s doc already has a tremendous grass root groundswell behind it. The film has previewed in over twenty-five cities with sold out theatres and standing ovations. The website, www.freedomtofascism.com has been had over five hundred thousand (500,000) streams of the video trailer. Additionally, through the website and from grassroots screenings, over $100,000 in non-deductible donations has been collected to help with the theatrical release.

You are an adult when you turn 18.

Where does this adult work?  How are her and her future husband going to support this child?  Where does he work?

I highly doubt anyone considers Bristol Palin an adult because if they did, they wouldn't have made such a big deal about it on the news?????

My 3 adult children

were energized by the election.  Even if they had political views different from mine and my live-in BF, they would not be afraid to tell me.  I allow them to think for themselves.

You see, you are really sick. No adult
who is coherent acts in such a manner and makes such ignorant remarks to a fellow man.
We don't kill an adult
when they are found to have terminal cancer. Why then should we kill a baby who is terminal? No logic there whatsoever.
Strange....he's an adult now ......
He wrote that book as an adult, knowing full well young and old blacks alike will read that book! If you think for one second they didn't understand those racist remarks, think again! That is the reason racism will not go away.... people like him who perpetuate it..

Believe his lies if you want!
Sorry, I mistakenly thought we were adult enough
It's very easy to prove or disprove what is stated there regarding this type of claim. I don't tend to believe something just because it's said on a well-constructed blog, and that is the point. Do your own research instead of parroting talking points and spewing venom. That doesn't constitute discussion of any sort.

The Hillary blog was where I first read that the IP addresses went were traced back to "Fight the Smears." I didn't know if that was possible. I have since talked with people I know who told me, yes, that can be done and that they had recently done it while trying to determine who might be the running mates of the various candidates.

Anyway, then I researched it further and found more of the same by people I have confidence in. And my trust in them is because their opinions and judgment has been proven out many times, and they stake their livelihoods on it in some cases.
Or she might be almost 18, which would make her a legal adult.

You're right. It's hard for an adult to have
a meaningful conversation with dysfunctional children.
Stop being silly, please. It's the job of every thinking adult
NM
Why don't you discuss like an adult instead of throwing temper tantrums?
Inquiring minds would like to know.
Only drive-bys seem to be ruining perfectly adult conversations

We all were having good conversations and even adult disagreements until the usual drive-by suspects chimed in and make is a potty-mouth bash fest.  Democrat might have lost control a little bit, but we all do at some point.    You did your usual leftist troll duties by coming here and sabatoging and decent debates in process.  You are not a liberal.  You are someone who is so filled with hate that you cannot stand when conservatives and liberals are actually dialoguing.  Yeah, it gets heated, but you are not mature enough nor do you have substance enough to tolerate adult conversation.  You are a dive bomber, and you are the reason we have to be separated.

You and your minions are pretty sad people indeed.

Ah yes, another intelligent, adult comment from a SORE LOSER!

LOL!  YOU LOST.  AMERICA WON!  Grow up and if you can't grow up, LEAVE!

AMERICA AND OUR PRESIDENT--LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!

Star of Hope
I saw these people last night on TV. This is an organization that has been around for awhile, its purpose being to house the homeless. It is what they do all the time, not just this disaster. They are taking people into their own homes and finding places for people to stay. Their web is sohmission.com.  Check them out.  They sound like an established experienced group. I was thinking of sending money to them rather than the Red Cross. Just an FYI.
You get a gold star!
People seem to still not be getting this simple fact, and Bush makes an easy scapegoat anyway.

Congress and the Senate = Idiots 'R' Us.
and you would prefer what, that he say, yes, I am a rock star
x
Party like a rock star .....
and spend money like it grows on trees.  Don't worry, we will be fine here Pres., eating our Ramen Noodles and Kool-aid.....
gurl....I really don't care if he wants to be a rock star...
I just don't understand why he keeps saying he doesn't want to be likened to a rock star or a celebrity when all his actions say the opposite.

What I really do care about is his ability to perform as President. If I had confidence in that it would be a different story. I would like to believe what he says, and if he is not honest about the little things I have no confidence he will be honest about bit things. Just my opinion, gurl.
Yes. That is exactly what I am saying. WHen all this rock star talk started...
I saw an interview and have seen him say since that that is not the way he wants to be portrayed (like a rock star). So you are telling me now that he in fact DOES want to appear like a rock star? Well I stand corrected then. He chose the right people to design his set.

It is not insulting to suggest that people actually research things before they post them and not just take blogs and talking points for their information. Your compatriots have told me several times to do the research. I suppose it is all right coming from your side but insulting coming from mine. I get it.

But yes, go look at the votes. See how many times McCain and Bush butted heads and how many times McCain crossed party lines. How many times has Biden done that? None. How many times has Obama done that? None. As one Democrat poster posted to me below, Joe Biden knows that he has to be loyal to the party. That crystallized exactly what i have been trying to say. Yep, no matter what he takes, lying about a friend and throwing him under the bus, whatever it takes...loyalty to the party trumps everything.

And that is one area where McCain has them ALL beat. He has the guts to jump party lines for what he believes in. Because the American people have his loyalty, not the Republican party. That is something neither Obama or Biden can say. They never have, nor would they ever, jump party lines.
Early voting down here in the Lone Star and already
trying to mislead democratic voters.  Hmmmm.
Tell it to the Lone Star. W is solely responsible

Bush to dine with *Christian* porn star...again
Porn starlet Mary Carey to dine with Bush again

World Net Daily | March 13 2006

Mary Carey, the buxom, XXX movie star who caused an uproar last year for dining with President Bush and her pornographer, apparently still has a hunger for the nation's capital, and will have dinner with the president once again this week.

The former candidate for California governor is to attend the United to Victory dinner with Bush on Thursday, and have lunch at a related event Wednesday where Bush adviser Karl Rove is the guest speaker. She says she's taking part at the invitation of the National Republican Congressional Committee, which is organizing the events.

I'm really excited to be going back to Washington D.C. to see the president again, said Carey. Everyone thinks that politicians are stuffy, but we all had a great time last year, and I had fun signing a lot of autographs. Wait till they see that I have lost 20 pounds since the last time they saw me. Watch out Mr. President!

According to a news release, Carey is slated to receive the 2005 California Businesswoman of the Year award for her efforts in starting Mary Carey Productions, Inc.

I'm always excited to learn more about what's going on in our nation's capital, since most people in the porn industry think an Iraqi pullout is a form of safe sex, she quipped. Since I'm seriously considering running for governor of California again, I'm going to need a lot of support from Republican lawmakers nationwide – however I can get it.
The NRCC is the same group that accepted $5,000 from Carey and her pornographer, Mark Kulkis of Kick A-- Pictures, and allowed the pair to take part at the 2005 Flag Day Dinner.

Asked by WND last year about the propriety of the Republican Party collecting $5,000 from a pornographer and the example such an appearance set for the moral climate of the nation, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said: I think you need to direct those questions to the committee itself.

When WND contacted the NRCC about the Flag Day event, spokesman Carl Forti said, They've paid their money. No matter what they do, the money is going to go to help elect Republicans to the House.

In an exclusive interview with WorldNetDaily, Carey said despite her racy occupation, she's still a Christian, and has her own aspirations of winning the presidency in the future.

I read the Bible and pray every night, she explained.

Carey, whose real name is Mary Ellen Cook, says she was named after the Mary Ellen character on The Waltons TV show. Born in Cleveland, she was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., studied theater in college, and worked jobs in restaurants before trying stripping and then making the decision to enter the world of celluloid sex.

I kind of wanted to be a porn star, she said. I wasn't raped or abused.

With a Lutheran grandmother, Carey says she attended church regularly until the age of 12.

Despite having numerous sexual partners, she remains proud of her occupation.

I probably have less sex with those guys than any college girl [typically has]. It doesn't make me less moral, she said. I'm sure a lot of Christians have had sex before marriage. God reads my heart. I'm a good person. ... I think I have more morals than the politicians in office. I don't rob, steal, hurt, or lie – a lot of politicians do that.

When asked about Bible verses condemning adultery, she responded, Bill Clinton committed adultery. [Doing] adult movies is acting, portraying a role. It's not Mary Ellen Cook, the real me.

The only point I can see is....he keeps denying the rock star thing...
and then has a rock star set designer do the set. Okay...so which is it?

McCain is not a Bush clone. The two are nothing alike. But, of course, to know that you would have to research it and would actually have to care about accuracy.

'Nuff said.
What we were taught though was to SING the Star Spangled Banner...sm
Hand over the heart and sing the words. It amazes me that not everyone does that, but that is what I was taught. Most people do not even know the words.
Thanks...glad you could see it for what it was. Star Wars, pure and simple...nm

Other Jefferson quotes
Jefferson was definitely not an atheist as some claim he was. He was more of a deist:

First an excerpt from the Declartion of Independence which Jefferson was instrumental in writing:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain inalienable rights. Among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that to secure these rights governments are instituted among men and for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance upon the Protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Excerpted from the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776

Here are some of Jefferson's writings on Separation of Church and state:

Separation of Church From Interference by the State –
Jefferson’s Letter to the Danbury Baptists

In recent years, those who would like to interpret the First Amendment in a manner our forefathers never intended, have made use of the term “Separation of Church and State” to mean that there could be no possible impact or influence of Christianity upon civil government – or even upon education.

The true meaning of the Establishment Clause can be stated in these terms – “Separation of Church from interference by the State.” The only time the expression “Separation of Church and State” was used by a founding father, is in an off-the-record, non-political letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association. He wrote this letter on July l, 1802 replying to their public address which applauded his stance for establishing Religious Freedom. Jefferson prefaces his statement with an assurance to the Danbury Baptists that he concurs with their belief of man being accountable to God alone for his mode of worship, without the government’s coercion or interference:

Jefferson's words: …Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “Make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church and State… end Jefferson's words

Religious Values Protected From Government Interference
The wall of separation between Church and state of which Jefferson speaks, is clearly in reference to protecting religious worship from the government’s interference, and not the government being encroached upon by religious values. Furthermore, the Declaration of Independence itself concludes with an emphasis upon this new nation’s dependence upon God’s protective care:

Jefferson reiterates the excerpt from the Declaration of Independence …with a firm reliance upon the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Biblical Principles and Christian Values – the Framework for Good Government

It is seen, again and again in the founding fathers’ writings, that they stressed the
need of biblical principles and Christian values as the framework for good government, as attested to throughout this book. While we do not have evidence of Thomas Jefferson having accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, the only way to salvation, we can affirm that he governed his life by many Christian values and principles. Following are some examples from his writings to illustrate this:

Jefferson’s Prayer for Peace, as it is called, is excerpted from his Second Inaugural Address, delivered on March 4, 1805, as follows:

I shall now enter on the duties to which my fellow-citizens have again called me, and shall proceed in the spirit of those principles which they have approved…I shall need, therefore, all the indulgence I have heretofore experienced…I shall need, too, the favor of that Being in whose hands we are, who led our forefathers, as Israel of old, from their native land and planted them in a country flowing with all the necessities and comforts of life, who has covered our infancy with His Providence and our riper years with His wisdom and power, and to whose goodness I ask you to join with me in supplications that He will so enlighten the minds of your servants, guide their councils and prosper their measures, that whatever they do shall result in your good, and shall secure to you the peace, friendship and approbation of all nations.

Elaborating on the excesses inherent within the hierarchal state-controlled church, Jefferson writes to Moses Robinson on March 23, 1801, from Washington, D.C.:

…The Christian Religion, when divested of the rags in which they (the clergy) have enveloped it, and brought to the original purity and simplicity of its benevolent institutor, is a religion of all others most friendly to liberty, science, and the freest expansion of the human mind.

Loved the quotes
I love history (love the history channel when they have specials on historical figures) and reading about the great men who worked hard to make this country free. These are all great quotes. Unfortunately in today's day and age there are so many lawyers they have turned everything around and they are destroying (or trying to destroy) what the country was founded on and make it into what they want it to be today, and too many people just don't care about the men in our history (just don't take away their American Idol and Survivor shows. HA HA)

It is so insulting that people are trying to destroy what made this country great and free!

I also saw your message above about the thanks for defending the country. I came from a family of military people (dad and grandpa in navy, uncle in marines, another uncle in the air force, and his son (my cousin) in the marines). I believed in our country (Reagan was president) and still do. I am a patriot to the country - not to a person. If I didn't like our country I would leave and move to another country, but I happen to like this one and it has nothing to do with who the president is. If McCain had been elected I wouldn't love the country any less.

But I do love Jefferson, Adams, Washington, Franklin and all those other great men who fought and risked everything. They had such wisdom, knowledge, and courage. And now look at the modern day politicians. I'm sure the founding fathers are turning over right now.
Former Head of Star Wars: Cheney Main 9/11 Suspect
Former Head Of Star Wars Program Says Cheney Main 9/11 Suspect
Official version of events a conspiracy theory, says drills were cover for attacks

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones/Prison Planet.com | April 4 2006

The former head of the Star Wars missile defense program under Presidents Ford and Carter has gone public to say that the official version of 9/11 is a conspiracy theory and his main suspect for the architect of the attack is Vice President Dick Cheney.

Dr. Robert M. Bowman, Lt. Col., USAF, ret. flew 101 combat missions in Vietnam. He is the recipient of the Eisenhower Medal, the George F. Kennan Peace Prize, the President’s Medal of Veterans for Peace, the Society of Military Engineers Gold Medal (twice), six Air Medals, and dozens of other awards and honors. His Ph.D. is in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from Caltech. He chaired 8 major international conferences, and is one of the country’s foremost experts on National Security.

Bowman worked secretly for the US government on the Star Wars project and was the first to coin the very term in a 1977 secret memo. After Bowman realized that the program was only ever intended to be used as an aggressive and not defensive tool, as part of a plan to initiate a nuclear war with the Soviets, he left the program and campaigned against it.

In an interview with The Alex Jones Show aired nationally on the GCN Radio Network, Bowman (pictured below) stated that at the bare minimum if Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were involved in 9/11 then the government stood down and allowed the attacks to happen. He said it is plausible that the entire chain of military command were unaware of what was taking place and were used as tools by the people pulling the strings behind the attack.

Bowman outlined how the drills on the morning of 9/11 that simulated planes crashing into buildings on the east coast were used as a cover to dupe unwitting air defense personnel into not responding quickly enough to stop the attack.

The exercises that went on that morning simulating the exact kind of thing that was happening so confused the people in the FAA and NORAD....that they didn't they didn't know what was real and what was part of the exercise, said Bowman

I think the people who planned and carried out those exercises, they're the ones that should be the object of investigation.

Asked if he could name a prime suspect who was the likely architect behind the attacks, Bowman stated, If I had to narrow it down to one person....I think my prime suspect would be Dick Cheney.

Bowman said that privately his military fighter pilot peers and colleagues did not disagree with his sentiments about the real story behind 9/11.

Bowman agreed that the US was in danger of slipping into a dictatorship and stated, I think there's been nothing closer to fascism than what we've seen lately from this government.

Bowman slammed the Patriot Act as having, Done more to destroy the rights of Americans than all of our enemies combined.

Bowman trashed the 9/11 Commission as a politically motivated cover-up with abounding conflicts of interest, charging, The 9/11 Commission omitted anything that might be the least bit suspicious or embarrassing or in any way detract from the official conspiracy so it was a total whitewash.

There needs to be a true investigation, not the kind of sham investigations we have had with the 9/11 omission and all the rest of that junk, said Bowman.

Asked if the perpetrators of 9/11 were preparing to stage another false-flag attack to reinvigorate their agenda Bowman agreed that, I can see that and I hope they can't pull it off, I hope they are prevented from pulling it off but I know darn good and well they'd like to have another one.

A mainstay of the attack pieces against Charlie Sheen have been that he is not credible enough to speak on the topic of 9/11. These charges are ridiculed by the fact that Sheen is an expert on 9/11 who spends hours a day meticulously researching the topic, something that the attack dogs have failed to do, aiming their comments solely at Sheen's personal life and ignoring his invitation to challenge him on the facts.

In addition, from the very start we have put forth eminently credible individuals only for them to be ignored by the establishment media. Physics Professors, former White House advisors and CIA analysts, the father of Reaganomics, German Defense Ministers and Bush's former Secretary of the Treasury, have all gone public on 9/11 but have been uniformly ignored by the majority of the establishment press.

Will Robert Bowman also be blackballed as the mainstream continue to misrepresent the 9/11 truth movement as an occupation of the fringe minority?

Bowman is currently running for Congress in Florida's 15th District.

I think Invesco field and the whole rock star set is going to do nothing to help him trying to portray himself as a serious politician ready to lead this country. But...I will wait until I actually see it...have only seen pictures so far. But if it is anything like it looks, it will be more like a hollywood musical than a political event. Porn star contemplates run in Louisiana U.S. Senate race

Porn star and Baton Rouge native Stormy Daniels said Monday that she wants to give voters a voice by starting a “listening tour” in Louisiana.

However, Daniels said she doubts she will actually seek public office despite an Internet drive aimed at persuading her to run against first-term Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter next year.

Daniels said her work as an actress, writer, director and dancer pays the bills more than a stint as a senator would.

“I don’t think I’m willing to take the pay decrease,” Daniels said.

But an Internet-based campaign to “Draft Stormy” to challenge Vitter has attracted national attention.

CNN.com, for instance, featured an interview with Daniels on Monday. The congressional newspaper “The Hill” also noted the push to turn the porn star into a politician.

Vitter apologized in 2007 for what he called a “very serious sin” after his phone number showed up during an investigation of the escort service operated by Deborah Palfrey, the so-called “D.C. Madam” who was convicted of running a prostitution ring and later committed suicide. He was not charged in the Palfrey case.

Since his apology, Vitter has refused to answer any questions about the incident.

Aaron Baer, a spokesman for the Republican Party of Louisiana, dismissed Daniels’ possible candidacy as a publicity stunt.

“Voters in Louisiana are concerned about real issues that require serious leadership,” he said.

University of New Orleans student Zach Hudson said the “Draft Stormy” campaign is legitimate.

“It’s not a stunt,” he said. “We have every intention of successfully drafting her.”

Hudson said he hopes a groundswell of support will convince Daniels to run.

Daniels, 29, hired a publicist to respond to inquiries about her interest in the Senate race.

She said she will play along to bring attention to certain issues and to remove Vitter from office.

Daniels is critical of Vitter’s response to his phone number being found on a Washington prostitution ring’s client list.

“I might be a slut and a whore,” Daniels said. “… but I’m not a criminal, and I’ve never been a hypocrite.”

Daniels will be in Baton Rouge in early May to dance at the Gold Club and possibly film a movie in New Orleans. She said she is open to touring the state to hear what people have to say.

Vitter’s spokesperson did not respond to two requests for comment.

Daniels is a 1997 graduate of Scotlandville Magnet High School. She said she is registered to vote in California.

Her work in the adult entertainment industry includes writing and directing films as well as starring in them.

Hudson, who has volunteered for the campaigns of several Democratic candidates but said he is not affiliated with the Democratic Party or any other party, said Daniels is a leader in a multibillion-dollar industry.

Daniels said she is hesitant to enter the race because she is concerned about making a mockery of government.

She said the focus would be on the fact that she works in the sex industry.

Daniels said she wants to bring awareness to issues such as child pornography, safe sex and the need for Internet controls to limit what children see on the Web. She has her own Web site that sells pornographic images.

She made an appearance at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., last year to push a “Restricted to Adults” label for adult Internet sites.

Political commentator and former Insurance Commissioner Jim Brown said Daniels would be just one more entry in the state’s colorful political history.

He said she might attract “a pretty good protest vote” even if she isn’t destined to serve in the U.S. Senate.

“No, she can’t win,” Brown said.

Baton Rouge pollster Bernie Pinsonat said the likelihood of Vitter being defeated is diminishing by the day.

The negative publicity that President Barack Obama is receiving on the economic package is giving Vitter a good platform, he said.

“I thought Vitter would have a tough time getting re-elected, but right now, Obama is sent from heaven,” he said.

Happy MLK Day! - Quotes from the great man....sm
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

Our nettlesome task is to discover how to organize our strength into compelling power.

A man who won't die for something is not fit to live.

There is nothing more dangerous than to build a society, with a large segment of people in that society, who feel that they have no stake in it; who feel that they have nothing to lose. People who have a stake in their society, protect that society, but when they don't have it, they unconsciously want to destroy it.

If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the host of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well.

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become reality. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.

Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. It is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all. It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than to convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love.

See the quotes posted below...they WERE Christians...
not Deists, and described themselves as such.
A few quotes from Palin regarding God and politics.
In the address at the Assembly of God Church here, Ms. Palin’s ease in talking about the intersection of faith and public life was clear. Among other things, she encouraged the group of young church leaders to pray that “God’s will” be done in bringing about the construction of a big pipeline in the state, and suggested her work as governor would be hampered “if the people of Alaska’s heart isn’t right with God.”

She also told the group that her eldest child, Track, would soon be deployed by the Army to Iraq, and that they should pray “that our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God, that’s what we have to make sure we are praying for, that there is a plan, and that plan is God’s plan.”

You mean like McCain's sneering air quotes as
Yeah, right. That Obama is a baby killer myth serves no useful purpose except to bring down poll numbers. Keep it up, but don't expect any validation out of educated voters.
