not sure but I found one paragraph thru google about dacron wool........being used on a patient:

Once cooling to -79 C was complete the patient was lifted out of the Silcool bath, the outer, Silcool wetted plastic bag was stripped off and the patient was placed within a polyester cloth bag which was in turn placed inside a standard aluminum neurocan which had been precooled to -90  and packed with dacron
wool.  Temperature probes were left externalized to the neurocan for subsequent cooling to -196 C.

I don't really think this is going to help you though but I tried!!

Pain scale in leukemia patients
Subject: Pain scale in leukemia patients

Hi,

Is there a pain scale that is commonly referred to for leukemia patients? I'm doing a clinic note on a patient, and in the PE section, I hear something that sounds like ecot 0 (zero). The first thing that pops into my head is Ficat, but I don't think that's what it would be. I often hear doctors mention the pain scale rating right along with the vital signs, and that's where this is dictated. I'm googling and researching this, but I'm not even sure where to look. Any suggestions?

Subject: That could be. I know that some docs make patients sign care contracts. sm

Compliance promise could very well be. Perhaps the patient had been noncompliant with his CPAP and the doc threatened him with something like being hospitalize, dying, etc.

A lot of PCPs make their drug-seeking patients sign what is called a Care Plan. It takes care of the "frequent flyers" to different docs and ED's. They are tailored to each patient. Perhaps Jane Doe can only get 4 pain shots a month. If she uses them all up in a week, then too bad, so sad. She will just have to tough it out. They are on file with all the hospitls here in case the frequent flying drug-seekers trh to hit different emergency departments, etc.
