I looked up aneurysm because it sounded so much like that but wanted to check with you all first.  I think I will go from there.  Once you have an idea and listen again, you can hear it better.   Thanks.

strep throat has become a common phrase.  it should truly be Streptococcal pharyngitis, but that's too far of a stretch from verbatim.  so, i guess i have to take it back that i never type slang, because strep throat seems acceptable.

Subject: starting as independent contractor/need help!

I'm going to be able to return to work very part time since my disability is getting a bit better.  I have an offer to work as an independent contractor, probably not making more than 12 grand per year.

This will be my first time being a contractor and I'm boggled after reading the IRS info on the site.  Do I need to file for a taxpayer ID# or can I just use my Social Security number?  I think I can wade through paying the taxes, etc, but may have an accountant do this initially.

Thank's in advance, Becca.

Subject: NWMNMT:Good grief, good grief, good grief..If this is the case, the doctor should also explain

the meaning in an ADDENDUM.
How do you know what the doctor meant? GOOD GRIEF, are you the know-it-all (hyphens must be put here, as it is used as a noun!) on this board? Get over yourself!

Who understands what it means without an explanation?
The MOST obvious is apparently like I understood it:
5 packs in 1 year.

Maybe the doctor really meant this, 5 packs per year, so essentially a nonsmoker.

GOOD GRIEF, get over yourself!

Subject: Sometimes I think you can get to the point where

Someone new at this might have to look-up a lot things.  Sometimes you just get to the end of your rope with researching especially when the doc isn't sounding too clear or the word is slurred.  We must support one another though not tear each other down.  Why can't people just go by the old saying of "if you do not have something nice to say then do not say anything at all".  To come off like a know it all proves what?  Absolutely nothing in my opinion.  Not everyone is up on everything.

Although he does mention "near the perforation" later in the report.

My point is, docs sometimes use the abbreviations they use in speaking in their reports as well. Most of the time I will type them out, but it bugs me either way - I like to type verbatim and not add anything the doc didn't say, but if he says it wrong, what are you going to do? (Except maybe leave him a message.)
