This sounds, and is, for all intents and purposes, the word "cat's"  I have never heard it reference this way, although it does make sense.  Was wondering if anyone else had heard of it.  Thanks, and happy typing!

The patient has had serious episodes of cutting, and her forearms are covered with scars, which look like they should have been sutured and were not.  It is possible that she is a "cicatrix former".

There is a medial compartment and a lateral compartment where the femur meets the tibia, and it sounds like the doctor is specifying the proximal portion of the medial compartment. Adding "tibial" does make it sound strange....

Hope this helps.

I thought I was losing my mind when I heard "beetle nuts." Now that I have this information, I'm writing it down for future reference. We have a lot of Asian patients in this practice and it is probably what he was dictating. That's what I like about this business - you learn something new EVERY day! That's also what's great about our MT boards - MTs willing to help each other continually learn.
