I see that back in January ERMT had questioned this also.  At that time, the only followups were guesses.

The only part he spells is the Lyca part.  ERMT was questioning bullous platus lyca.  This doc pronounced it "bullous platic lyca" in the last three notes on this patient.  Now today he's saying what s/l "bullous lattice plica", which almost makes a little sense, but I still can't find anything like it.  I know it's a dermatologic condition.  The patient has ulcers on the abdomen and legs, and therefore I'm sure it's not lichen planus.  Anybody?

Caesarean section
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Caesarian section)
Jump to: navigation, search
A caesarean section (AE cesarean section), or c-section, is a form of childbirth in which a surgical incision is made through a mother's abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterotomy) to deliver one or more babies. It is usually performed when a vaginal delivery would put the baby's or mother's life at risk, although in the last decade it has been performed upon request.

I had QA send back a note changing paraesthesias to paresthesias.  I thought both were acceptable.  I have typed it with an 'a' for years.  (like orthopedic versus orthopaedic) I have never had any doctor tell me he/she prefers it without the 'a.'  Thanks.

Isn't g an acceptable abbreviation for gram?
Subject: Isn't g an acceptable abbreviation for gram?

I had QA correct this:

MiraLax 7.5 g to be taken to MiraLax 7.5 grams to be taken .

If 7.5 g is wrong I've been doing it wrong for a long time.  It's not on the forbidden abbreviation list in the BOS, so now I'm stumped.

Anyone have an opinion on this?  Thanks!
