He was diagnosed with s/l bisette (or assette) arthropathy per MRI, as well as there was no left-sided spinal stenosis, no spondyloarthritis.

Thank you, haven't turned work in yet, so appreciate your input. In listening back, it definitely sounds like locks, but facet is what he slurred. Just googled and that's what I found with lock. Thank you all so much, you saved me great embarrassment with new account.
