PG or p.g. for medication dosage?
Subject: PG or p.g. for medication dosage?

I have a doctor who is dictating every oral medication with a PG in it, e.g. Zantac 150 mg "PG" q.8 h.  I have never heard of PG or p.g.  The patient does have a G-tube, so the only meaning I can think of is "per G-tube," but again, don't think this is a valid term.

In my OB-GYN book I see putrescine, but it doesn't show it combined with BV. When I googled the words together, putrescine seems to have something to do with diagnosing this problem, so research it yourself to see if it works.
