Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts
Subject: Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts

The studies demonstrated carotid artery disease but, also, she has a platelet count of 1004 k per cmm and persistent reduction in her hemoglobin and hematocrit at 9.4 and 31.5.

Does anyone know how to format this?  I can't find the K at all in relation to these values, but doc is  clearly saying,  1004 K per cmm.  thank you.

re: Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts
Subject: re: Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts

K is abbreviation for thousands; also used as abbreviation for potassium. platelets are expressed in thousands.

I think the 1004 k/cmm should be expressed this way.
