I am just not making enough money. They are a great company though, just ask for a back up account.

I have TOO much work sometimes. My account is very high volume and I have a backup in case my main account runs out of work..which it NEVER has. They have always been fair and are flexible with scheduling.

They are great to work for, no VR and they appreciate you. The only folks who really WANT to do VR are the ones who are no good at transcribing. Problem is they aren't very good at VR either. There are plenty of really good MTs doing VR who don't want to be and should be.
Keystrokes is wonderful, just be aware that
they DO NOT like MTs doing things they way THEY want to, I have read other posts by you, and feel that your attitude will not be welcomed by a company like KS. They like MTs to follow the account guidelines, NOT making up their own rules as they go. Those MTs should become IC if that's how they wanna work. Maybe try Transcend, they may be more receptive to your frame of mind?? 
I work on an ortho account. Keystrokes is just wonderful! They will help you in every way possible
and seem to really care about each person. They have been very good to me and I am very thankful to have a job with such a great company!

FN is a great company full of wonderful people who treat you with respect. SM.
But they only want to pay 4.5 cpl for SR, 5.5 for heme/onc. Can you believe that? Also, workload has been very, very low for a very long time.
Keystrokes has great ortho accounts and a wonderful manager over the ortho work. sm
I have worked with them for 4 years and will never leave unless something drastically changes. I do not post here normally as it seems that there are so many negative people, but this is one I felt I could answer without being attacked.

I can't answer the second part of your question because I have been with them for 2 years...but I know they are a stable company and I finally found the perfect fit for me...good luck!!!

sorry you had such a bad experience but doesn't mean that Keystrokes is bad...just in your opinion...
They are a wonderful bunch of people!! However,
having said that....... unfortunately, the pay is extremel low for QA. I do not know what it is for MTs or even if they have US MTs. The work is plentiful for QA and pretty darn easy. BUT, even though it is easy, 2-3 cpl for full edit is just really not worth it. You really have to bust your bum to make any money at all. I don't mind working hard (believe it or not :)) but you can't kill yourself for peanuts or you would be better off working for Old Navy.
exactly....all of the people that I know that work for Keystrokes are happy and love their job...
move on if it is not the right fit for you...there are plenty of other companies out there...

will gripe no matter what. My work is pretty steady, once in a while have to flex my schedule a bit, after OT has been offered or a holiday weekend, but ALWAYS have enough per pay period.
People in the office I have contact with are efficient and pleasant. Pay is good. Benefits are fair.
I start and finish my shifts with a good attitude, What more can you ask for?

I love working with MTA. Pay is good and on time. Hours are flexible (probably depending on account). Lynn is very organized and great to work for.

It is pretty small and she will probably keep it that way. She is the best boss, very knowledgeable and willing to share the knowledge, fair wages, sits right there every day typing or proofing along with everyone else, and she turned out to be a great friend. I worked for her as long as I could but was making much more money doing radiology reports so made the decision finally to concentrate on that only. We keep in touch and some day I may be back with her, who knows. So, I would say not all companies are the same but the really good ones just may be harder to find.

I would have no problem working a rotating weekend schedule every 3 to 4 weeks, but EVERY weekend when I have kids and family time is important? I worked there for a short time. Wonderful company.
I went and got my own clients, so I couldn't do both. Pay was adequate and on time by direct deposit. I had a teaching hospital, good account, some difficult ESL, some not so difficult. Bayscribe platform is okay, had to get used to it. I personally was not fond of it, but to each their own.
The long distance phone service was not an issue. I used the Verizon unlimited LD and regional plan $49.99 per month.
All-in-all, my experience was good while there. Every company has their ups and downs. It all depends on what your individual needs are and how far out of your comfort zone you want to go.

I have to agree with the poster who said she does not have enough work. I have repeatedly asked for a back up account since September and I keep hearing they are looking into it, and yet there are ads for new transcriptionists all the time. I'm not sure what the deal is and why they can't seem to find a back up for me, but I'm getting very tired of it and am seriously thinking about looking elsewhere for a job. I love the account I am on now if only there was more work, and my lead is great but I am just not making enough money.

I LOVE Keystrokes!
I just had my second day with KS and LOVE them! In just 6 hours, I was able to do 1600 lines! I have an AWESOME ER account and all of the dictators are so easy! I hope to be there for many years to come!

While I don't type ortho for Keystrokes, I do ER, and I LOVE it. I don't have any ESLs, I always have TONS of work, make excellent money and, most importantly, I am treated like an actual human rather than just some number or just another employee. My lead MT is the best and is always extremely helpful. I also received a welcome card in the mail from the office when I first started. They actually go out of their way to show their MTs that they do care. They are by far the best out there.

I've been with KS for a little over a month now and love it. I plan on being there for many years to come. I was also offered a job with TT before I went to KS, but was told that the account was over 75% ESL. I have no ESLs on my account with KS :)
Love Keystrokes
I have been there for a month now and love it. My manager is super friendly and helpful, and I always have tons of work. I am on an ER account and I did not have to purchase any equipment. They provided with a Transnet foot pedal, which was all that I needed. My account is awesome and my pay checks have almost doubled since I left my old company (SPI/CyMed) and started working for Keystrokes. I'm sure that they are not a perfect fit for every MT, but I am extremely happy there and hope to be there for many years.

I have never worked for Zylomed, but I do work for Keystrokes and I love it. I have an excellent account and an awesome lead MT. They always pay on time (direct deposit), and I have also found them to be very flexible. The best part is that they do not outsource at all and keep all work in the US. I would recommend them to any MT.

I would like to hear from anyone with Keystrokes. I have been here for 7 months now and really love this company. The only thing I might complain about is their system for keeping line counts. Has anyone experienced any trouble as far as line counts go??? I would like some input on this. Thank you very much.

I agree with the lead person in that there is more here than you are telling. Did you not like the account? Did you not have the proper equipment, phone lines, etc? Did you send in your paperwork? Did IS set you up? If so, you were not forgotten by the CEO. After she hired me, I talked to Becky for paperwork, Val for my account and Paul for IS. I have never spoken to Lee again but I am glad that she hired me in the first place. Did you need her to hold your hand? Do you have problems with other companies too?
