Training on the system, not paid, but if you are physically typing reports then you are getting paid

I'm just curious, if any of you are supposed to be paid on a certain date sm
and that date falls on a Saturday, does your company pay you on the Friday before or the Monday after?   I work for CardioScribes, and I am supposed to be paid on the 22nd, but unfortunately that falls on a Saturday so I am told that I will have to wait until Monday.  I thought most companies paid you the day before, but thought maybe things had changed and this is now the norm to make employees wait even longer.
You get paid training
They pay you for your training per hour for those 2 weeks.
I was paid for training...and as far as the PTO goes....
It starts accumulating after 90 days but I believe you have to wait until your one-year anniversary to use it....and I am pretty sure that is all across the board at Keystrokes..
then thats not paid training
you're working on production at that point. In spite of this, I think its still a decent company but lets not mislead people on this board about something thats not true.
and, no paid training.

And we're supposed to do what? Beg you - OH PLEASE STAY!?
delusions of adequacy at its finest
No, you're supposed to proofread everything
because you are too lazy to proofread. Blame it on VR if you want to, but those people need to find another *profession*.
Well, if you're supposed to be working, why
are you here?
You're not supposed to be asking test
to pass the test on your own without the help of other MTs.    good luck
Was told training was not paid
I spent a couple of afternoons training on the system but told it is without pay. Footpedal was sent - did not have to purchase. Been there a few weeks. The pay is above what other companies offer these days, and they pretty much leave you alone to do your work. I can definitely see the possibility of making decent money on the system I work on that does not cheat you of lines like some other companies are doing out there. I know a lot of us have been deceived on this board with recruiters cruising by here. By the time we realize whats going on we've already given them a couple months' of work. Believe me when I say, I am just another MT giving my totally honest opinion on this company - so far so good. More updates later.
Paid hourly training SM

Anyone can tell me what companies pay at least minimum hourly wage during training?   I don 't mind line rate pay during this time, but I heard many of them will only let you do several reports a day during training and pay by the line, all along the work you do learning their software and platform, phone calls, conference calls, etc. is per g-r-a-t-i-s.  Anyone?

Also, does Focus have paid training

.

Supposed to alternate the big holidays at MW, but they're willing to

Only if you are doing a lot of breaking when your're supposed to be working. sm
I don't think bathroom breaks should take that long to make that big a difference :)
Yup, still have to travel to NJ for a long training
course! Forget about it!!
You eluded to the fact that training was paid
when you are working on production thats not training and you are working for every penny of it, so your first post makes no sense and is misleading. This is just wrong wrong. State facts that are concise and true so this company does not get a bad name. I sure hope this was not somebody in management that posted this originally. This is how people get misled and then what are they to believe? Keep it straight so people will want to go to work for KS. Thanks
My training was good. It was about an hour long and then I was sm
working. I love Keystrokes and I love the account I am on. Perhaps the account you were on had 2 ESL doctors come up first. The account I am on in first in, first out, so there are days that I get mostly ESLs and days that I get no ESLs.
How long did you wait for training at Transcend?
Just wondering what the typical time frame is from install to training?
So you guys feel you're getting paid what you're worth with VR?
I'm not trying to be snarky. I've never done VR, so I'm trying to understand.

You're happy with your paycheck with VR? Do you find the files to be as bad as the original post implied?
I did phone training years ago on the platforrm and was paid 50.00 per call (sm)
The call usually lasted an hour, and was one-on-one.
web site says MT-s go through a 28 week training process. That's a long time!

Did they tell you have to GO there to get their computer and for training? They're in NJ. nm

Amphion doesn't run out and if they do, you get paid!!! nm

It doesn't look like you'll get paid by Nicholas
you don't know when you'll get paid.  The others I have no idea.  Just my 2 cents.
It really doesn't matter how long ago this happened.
Most people reading that article will only notice what she did, not the time frame. And quite frankly, a leopard doesn't change its spots, and most criminals just find other means of committing their crimes. The article is relevent and will affect other MT businesses in that area.
Beyond Text doesn't work long enough to allow you to get any lines. nm

OMG, Correction, brain fart, Axolotl doesn't run out and if they so you get paid. nm

SBC doesn't allow MTs. Many long distance providers don't anymore because of how many minutes

This MDI place really needs to get out of the stone ages already and go internet files like other companies have already been doing for years now.

Thanks - doesn't look like you're too happy about it.
The suspense is killing me - not that there is much suspense left anyway, but I still want to read it.
You're still here. Doesn't say much for you and your life.
Have some trolling to do.

You're right...that post doesn't make any sense...sm
How could high producers mess things up for the rest of us, when, in the past few weeks, we were offered incentives on most of the accounts to keep them in TAT by working extra??  And how could a responsible member of management even state something to that effect?  The only logical conclusion is that this particular poster wants to discourage high production (on his-/her OWN accord) in other MTs to keep the pickings greener for him-/herself.
If you're that upset about it, do what I did and work for a company that doesn't outsource

Maybe when we're paid more than...sm

You're wrong. Never have been paid for OT. Many others
have said the same thing.   I don't know how other accounts work, but there is no way to even submit OT on transnet, you can only submit the number of lines.
They're probably paid on production, too,
Too bad that's the standard
M.O. for most companies these days. Quantity over quality.
Paid for the whole report and you're right about
why you'd likely be fired after the adjustment time if you're not making at least min wage.  The employer would need to supplement your income to bring you to at least min wage for your state.
I worked there a long time ago. FInally got paid by going in with a group who got a lawyer. sm
I can't believe they're still in business!
you're not alone - been doing this a long time
but every slow down, expected or not, causes anxiety - I think we all feel more anxious now than we used to because we know the work is being done electronically and offshore.  I got a second job just to try to save money for the lean times and emergencies.  Only one provider in this household - nervewracking!  I think you hear a little anxiety in the other posters' replies too - they are trying to reassure themselves in the process.  This holiday seems to be worse than I remember it, this is more like Christmas and Thanksgiving!  People must be really taking off!  Imagine that.
Long-Time MT, you're so very right ...
I'm one of the MT's still on straight transcribing and after having my primary transferred to PI and having the majority of decent work either going to ASR or being outshored I'm struggling every day just to try to make a below minimum line count.  My paychecks have been nothing short of pitiful.  It's so frustrating.
