How flexible is their scheduling? sm
Don't they have a 12 hour window to get work done in?
Flexible Scheduling
Are there other companies that offer flexible scheduling, or rather line commitments, instead of a fixed shift - like MDI-MD?
the info given so far is that scheduling will be MORE FLEXIBLE
so not sure exactly what you are asking, re: firm.
Companies with flexible scheduling?

I'm looking for a company that I can commit to lines per pay period and not a set schedule?

How's the scheduling for MDI-MD? Are they completely flexible?

Does ANYONE besides MDI pay decent and have that FLEXIBLE scheduling? HELP, please! nm

Recommendations on company with flexible scheduling
I am looking for a company who is flexible in their scheduling.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated plus any other good/bad info.
Mind if I ask if they have flexible scheduling? pay scale? thanks! nm
x
try eTransPlus - they are pretty flexible with me.
I am assigned a shift of my choice, but so far, they have not bothered with me when I do other hours. I usually do 2000 lines a day and am only required to do 1200, so I try to get the 1200 in the shift time I am assigned and the other 800 or so just whenever I want to, and I only work 6 hours a day total anyway.

And yes, I do get a referral bonus if you name me, but I would recommend them anyway without it.
They offer DD, and they were pretty flexible for IC
although they did ask for a loose schedule. I'm not sure how flexible they are with employee status. For the most part, they pretty much leave you alone as long as you are doing your job, but they do have their psychotic moments. MT pay is fairly competitive, but Editor pay is bottom of the barrel. There are pros and cons there, just like with anywhere else. Pay is every 2 weeks.
Does TT Offer Flexible Hours For ICs
I've been reading all the wonderful posts about TransTech. I saw on their web site where they require 5 years experience. I have only 4, and I'm looking for part time or p.r.n. hours. Does anyone know if they hire with flexible working hours? Thanks so much, and congrats to all who have been hired. It's refreshing to read posts like this.
What companies offer FLEXIBLE schedules for
full time employees?  I am willing to work the hours required for full time status, but I am in college too and I have to have the flexibility - my schedule changes every semester.  Can anybody point me to ANY good companies who let you work whenever you want as long as you get your hours in?  And I am not interested in IC - only working as an employee.  Thanks!
Does Axolotl offer a flexible schedule?

Does Advanced Transcription in Oregon offer flexible shifts? Do you have to do set schedule? NM
nm
Not true...I am on an account that is flexible...
nm
Well, it's true. I still have it written in my notes from the job offer,
When I got off the phone and told my husband he couldn't believe it either. Definitely swayed my decision.
How flexible is flexible? A window of time? nm

SE scheduling
From what I understand, Santa Ana (Orange) and Monrovia are, I guess, sort of merged. (Same regional director/payroll dept.

What I wanted to ask (for those of you that are SEs)how closely do you stick to your schedule you provided them with? I was told I needed to work a set schedule, but heard from others that I can be very "lax" with it. I'm confused about the answers I've been getting, so if anyone can shed some light on the subject, I would greatly appreciate it.
scheduling
AllType's scheduling seems very rigid and I was looking for a more flexible schedule, like a 12-hour window or something similar. Any suggestions? Anyone from AllType that has personal experience regarding their scheduling with opinions to share? Thanks!
stat scheduling
Can anyone clear up the "general" schedule I need to follow as an MQ SE? I am so confused. I'm aware each office is different. My office asks for a set schedule, but is "very flexible." For those of you who are SEs, do you follow the exact schedule you give your acct mgr? If you agree to an 8-hour day, must you complete all 8 hours if your line count is already met? Can you log in to do extra work outside of your hours such as nights/weekends? I'm just curious to know how much time is actually monitored, being that this is a "general" schedule. It's very confusing and not really being made clear to me--please help!
Way too strict about scheduling
x
To MW - re set hours, scheduling, etc.
Set hours - yes you work a schedule but you can basically set your own schedule except you will need to work either Saturday or Sunday, usually Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday but they will work with you on the weekdays.  TT is the most flexible company I have found.
SPI's new scheduling application
Are there any current SPI MTs who are willing to share their thoughts on the new scheduling application?
scheduling application

I find the application slow and clumsy.  No way can you sign out if you leave your computer every 5 mins... it really is the last straw.  Word has it they're going to dump us anyway and pull out of onshore accounts altogether.

Webmedx scheduling
Can you tell me about the scheduling at Webmedx? Is there much flexibility? Weekends required?  Thank you!
Archivus scheduling
Can anybody tell me if the scheduling at Archivus for clinic work is flexible?  Can you tell me anything about the platform?  Thank you!
20 for PT and 40 for FT. But they are RIGID in scheduling. sm
I turned down the position because of this.
how flexibile is your scheduling at Medware? NM
nm
As far as PT scheduling, it would depend on the account, but SM
with regard to the PT incentive plan, there is a certain number of lines that have to be done on a weekend day. I don't have it all in front of me right now to be more specific than that. Maybe someone else can help with that... Sorry :-/
Futurenet scheduling/flexibility question. (sm)
If you agree to work during certain hours say 8-5, how flexible are they if something comes up and you take a couple of hours off during a.m. and then make up in p.m.  Is this even allowed.  I know it is IC but some IC positions are very rigid while others are not.
Don't know scheduling, but she emailed me saying they hire only FT and have no surgery accts. at

TransTech scheduling question. I know you work 1 weekend day (sm)

and give them a schedule you will be working.  Do they micromanage, i.e. if you have to run to school to pick up a sick kid can you make up the time at the end of the shift without calling for permission?  Do they go through and check your time on line and lines done to make sure you are being productive while signed onto system as MQ does?

Have heard they are really great and I understand schedules, but some companies allow more freedom of movement than others.

Any info helpful.  TIA.

IC status and being asked to commit to specific scheduling question
I thought I understood that this was not permitted to be asked if one was an IC.  I work a very, very stable schedule as it is, but they want me to tell them EXACTLY when I will work and also will I commit to weekends as well.  What do you all think???
Glad that's true for you for 8 years. Not true for many. I love the company, but I do run out of
as do many others. Wish I were as fortunate as you.
Probity

These people are unprofessional.  Don't waste your time there either.

Probity
Don't waste your time. They are so unprofessional, it's not even funny.
Probity
They're very unprofessional people, don't bother with them.  They have terrible communication within the company.
Any Probity MTs here
I would greatly appreciate any info on this company.

Thanks.
Probity
The problem with being careful what you say is true, but if you have to be SO careful, pretty soon there will be no one posting as everyone will be SO PARANOID ABOUT POSTING. Sounds like a little common sense and moderation is in dire need here. All she did is ask about a company, and yes, I agree, to say they suck is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. If you are going to post, at least be professional, courteous, and use common sense. What's so hard about that.
RE: Probity
Sounds like you will get your fair share of ESLs, as with any company, I can't say from experience yet. They do not supply equipment, they will provide the software that they use to do dictation. Health insurance is BC/BS, good if you only have to cover yourself, can get pricey to cover family, dental is a good plan, $15 per pay. I would definitely check them out. I believe editors are paid hourly, not sure how much though because this is not my field.
Any Probity MTs out there? sm
Do you have steady work?  Easy/difficult to make lines?  Thanks much
Probity
Thanks, I needed that!
Probity

99% ESLs, forget them!

Probity
I work for Probity and have been there almost a year.  I have absolutely no complaints.  They are very honest and there is always plenty of work.  No problems with pay checks or getting answers to questions......I give them an A++ and trust me I have been with a few companies in the past 18 years that I would not give an F to.....
Probity
I dont know anything about Medquest, but I would not recommend Probity.  Lots of promises, but do not come through.
Probity
Heavy ESLs at Probity and messed up software. I cannot recommend Probity.
Probity

I am happy employee at Probity...have never ever had any problems!

Probity
I have been with them for over a year and I have nothing but good things to say about them.  The owner is a very fair employer.  SHow me a company that does not have it's fair share of ESL.....I give Probity a AAA+++
Probity
Can anyone tell me if Probity is a good company to work for.  This will be the first company that I will work for, since being an IC with my own accounts for 20 years.  Otherwise, any suggestions?
Probity?
Any info on this company?
Probity
Did you have to buy an Infinity foot pedal for Probity?  I understood from talking to somebody there that they use this kind of foot pedal.  I have a wav pedal and would hate to buy another one if it's as bad as the posts I just read.
