We deal primarily in post-production transcription.  Most of our videos/audio are reality TV and interview style transcriptions. These are unscripted videos/audios that tend to be very busy.

The ability to listen to video and audio and transcribe what is being spoken verbatim is essential.  It requires a keen ear to be able to distinguish different speakers and hear what is being said amongst background noise and overlapping conversations.

TMT Medical Transcription is looking for experienced acute care MTs. As an IC (independent contractor) you can make your own hours and we will work with you. We have a large hospital account that has recently had an increase in volume. There is an abundance of work. If you are experienced, we encourage you to apply. At this time we are seeking full-time acute care transcriptionists.  It is a very heavy volume account.  I am looking for those who can work 8 hours a day (hours or your choosing and split shifts welcome) with a minimum of 100 minutes per day typed.  At least 1 weekend day per week is needed in the chosen schedule. Audio is through the DocQVoice system and work is typed in Chartscript. This is all straight typing, no voice recognition editing.  Pay is per audio minute, starting at a minimum $1.06 per audio minute, dependent on experience, once released from training and full review.  Years of experience, quality of work and production will all be considered in the rate of pay. During training the rate of pay is $1.00 per audio minute.  The length of training will be dependent on the amount of time and effort you put in.  The more you do, the quicker you will be released. Daily Transcription is a transcription services company located in Los Angeles, California. We are seeking to build a successful team of reliable transcribers who possess strong attention to detail.

This is a remote position.

Transcribers will be responsible for inputting time on the scheduler, receiving and confirming assignments, completing assignments by deadlines, communicating with submissions on a regular basis.

Transcription audio/videos can be of 30 minutes to two hours in length.  The videos/audios are primarily of the entertainment nature dealing with reality TV shows.  We also do a lot of interview transcription.

Transcribers are responsible for following the guidelines and procedures set forth for each assignment.


*Transcription experience

*Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills

*Ability to Google search correct spelling of unknown words or names

*Ability to transcribe verbatim dialogue, "uhs, or, ums," included

*Ability to dive right into the work with minimum direction

Position Summary: The Healthcare Documentation Specialist (HDS) maintains medical record integrity through interpreting, editing or transcribing dictation by physicians or other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty acute care facility. Variable specialties, document types, and difficulty of dictation necessitate an advanced level of clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and interpretive ability regarding patient assessment, workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, as well as demographics such as MRN, work type, and account selection in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare. Position consists of editing/transcribing reports downloaded from eScription program, with greater than 98% accuracy, with a minimum of 1500 lines per day. Accuracy is critical. Drafts must be carefully proofed against the original recording to ensure accuracy. Further editing is always required to produce a comprehensive and accurate report. This is highly detailed work that requires patience, focus, and attention to detail. HDS listens while reading and editing mostly speech-recognized dictations, or transcribing reports not voice recognized, according to guidelines, including correct terminology, grammar, punctuation, format and style. Applies clinical knowledge in accurately interpreting and capturing patient care encounters, a skill set that must be applied in the challenging setting of new technologies, an expansive and constantly evolving medical language, and an often unpredictable array of practitioners who dictate in haste or speak English as a second language. Consults procedural guides, medical dictionaries, physician lists, reliable internet resources, etc. Accesses patients' medical records to confirm questionable or inaudible information, such as lab results, procedures, etc., as well as inconsistencies and inaccuracies in dictated reports. HDS carefully proofs the draft to ensure accuracy following editing or transcribing, and then transmits the document into the electronic medical record. HDS is professional, has excellent critical thinking skills, follows directions, is proficient in multitasking, working under pressure, researching, handling telephone calls, managing and assigning reports, making corrections, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, EditScript, eMon, Horizon Patient Folder, and Sunrise Clinical Manager. Experience: • A minimum of one year of medical transcription experience in acute care facility or equivalent. • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology. Daily Transcription is seeking to build a successful team of reliable transcribers who possess strong attention to detail. You must possess the ability to transcribe verbatim busy video/audio footage.

Experience transcribing unscripted film/shows is a plus.

This is a remote position.

Hours are flexible – we ask that you have the ability for a minimum of 2.5 hours of video/audio per week. Weekenders are needed.

Rates will vary based on assignment type and the transcriber’s ability to accurately complete difficult video/audio.
