Any information on Rapidtext, Inc? Do they pay on time, platform, etc.?

Seeking information regarding KS platform

I have a few questions regarding the Meditech platform that Keystrokes uses on some accounts. The person who hired me wasn't in today, or I would have asked her. I hate to wait until Monday because I start with them in a week and I just want to make sure I have everything I need.

My information is kind of old, but I used to work for them part time sm
and it was a good company.  The people were great, and they paid on time (weekly).  The pay was rather low, but what I was doing was easy clinic work, so it kind of balanced out.  Good luck!
Platform and time off

How is the platform at Phoenix.  Is it easy to learn.  What about time off since its M-F schedule.  Is there any flexibility for part timers for a day off during the week if needed. 


You can get the information by doing a detail on statistics. Shows sign-off time.

pay is on time, Emdat platform used to be sm
buggier than all get out according to friend who used it but don't know if it's fixed - her pay got cut about 30% when she went to Emdat because it's set up to benefit the MTSO (normals, headers, etc.). She ended up dropping it after it crashed her computer. Also use Transnet/Dictaphone platform - they take $10 out of your invoice for rental but you are responsible for fixing the footpedal, etc., if it breaks (which doesn't quite fit the rental concept nor the IC concept). They change their policies about every other month so you just have to go with the flow and whatever the QA person du jour says (lots of changes there too). If you get a great dictator you'll have it made - just do your work and ignore the occasional e-mails complaining about late TAT, AAMT standards, etc. which only seems to apply to a few MTs but gets broadcast to everyone (really ticks off some of the MTs who get their stuff done on time, etc.). Judging by what gets posted here, it's a better MTSO than most - just be sure you are happy with your account and platform.

I wasn't productive on MeriT. Too much time spent entering demographic information...

There is no roster to pull patient names from, so you have to type what the docs say, and those ER docs speak at lightening speed.  I spent more time trying to get the patient name right than I did typing the report.  I really, really hated that.


CTS never pays on time and platform kinda sucks.
No idea about other company.

I just got an email from them, they pay up to 8 cents a line, but it is based on a gross line.

I was told that RapidTEXT, @ Newport Beach, CA, is going through some changes.  Not sure if this is a merger or what, but one person did lose his job recently.  I do not know the details. 
They used to be RapidText.
I used to work for them doing insurance transcription before I was an MT. Not to be confused with Rapid Transcript, by the way. Pay was always on time. Don't know anything about them post People Support, though.

I worked for those guys for two years and only had one check come late, which was during a switch in their payroll department.  I received profuse apologies for this as my check did not go to direct deposit as it was supposed to.  When I contacted them to find out what was going on, they cut a check and overnighted it to me.


These folks were great to me!  :)


Pay always on time, platform is easy, they've always been nice to me, do have several accounts to
avoid running out of work.  I do MT and QA.

Could you give some solid details - I am curious because I was considering applying, however, I just heard from a friend who worked for them and she could not get paid for months. What was your experience?

Pay is always on time, direct deposit, very nice management to work with, and DQS platform, work
load normally busy, but low now because of the summer slow down on my accounts.  Sound an issue on some accounts, but not others.  Overall, wonderful company.

MedScribe Information Systems, Inc - Information please?

MDI-MD platform is fast, not full of problems like Transcend platform or MDI-FL

On Transcend platform you have to click, click, click all day and still get errors, change screens constantly -  its a nightmare to work in. 


Yes, SPi does use this platform....it's a great platform, but not worth working for SPi. nm

Bad Platform. I personally know of 3 MTs who left because of the platform.
If you are like me, the bottom line is wages and what I get in my check. I have never worked for Amphion, but I personally know of 3 MTs who worked part-time at Amphion before quitting their other service to see what Amphion had to offer before it was too late. All 3 quit Amphion and stayed with their other service because of the Amphion platform. Too hard to make any decent lines.

Something to think about.

I'm lookin for part-time work (about 3-4 hrs daily) after 13 years of full-time, anyone know of a

MDI-Maryland is an excellent company, pay on time all the time, great line rate.
I left also because I went out and got my own client(s).
They are very nice people.

The only negative I can think of were the e-mails from the owner say work, work, work, we are out of TAT.

Other than that, which is very minor, it was a good experience.

i work 3 part-time jobs now. it can be confusing if you are learning both at the same time, but sm

I have one full-time job and 2 part-time jobs. It can be tricky at times, sm
but at least I now have plenty of work always. I have some big financial goals, and right now that seems to be the only way to accomplish it.  I can't see any reason why it would not be legal -- why would you say that?  I am cheating no one, except myself (out of sleep and a social life).  Fortunately, I am single with no children or anything.  I cannot imagine doing this if I had a family.  At least my dogige understands. 
I've been there quite a while, pay on time, growth spurt right now, so good time to get on board,
new accounts and lots of work, and before someone says it, I'm not management, just an employee.

# lines per pay period, nothing to do with quality. The lower the quality the higher the pay it seems.
