Transhealth is very organized, great benefits..horrible platform
Maybe it was just me but i never made it through training. It certainly could have been a lot easier than having to open up 3-4 programs to get going. I found it to be time-consuming and in a production-based atmosphere, this did not cut it. On the other hand, maybe others think the program is wonderful, but I sure did not. I have used Dictaphone EXText and that is way easier.
WordZxpressed out of GA, anyone with any current information as far as platform, pay, benefits etc..
Thanks..
It is IC work, no benefits, make your own schedule. sm

The pay is a bit on the low side for IC work, but the work is easy, the people are great, and the pay is always on time, once a week, direct deposit.  Hope this helps.

Any current information on Medware such as work load, pay, benefits, etc.
Thanks for anything you have.. the good, bad, and ugly.
CBay transcribes all work in India. Has some US editors but also has Indian editors.
nm
Current information on WordZXpressed, how they are to work for, accounts, platform etc.. anyone??

Thanks for any input you may have.

Spheris Platform and Editors

I have become increasinglly discouraged with Spheris.  First, since the new platform was installed, it seems to be getting harder and harder to even meet required line count, where before I went way over my requirements. My pay is nearly down to 1/3 what it used to be before this new platform.

I know, too, a LOT of work has been outsourced to India.  If I could live off $2.00 a day, then I would.

Editors, do not even start me on those.  I have come to realize that most of the editors are indeed in India (take a close look at feed back and spelling of words).  I have one smart@ that constantly berates me and I have about had it. I have been an MT, I am sure, for more years than the Editor has been known medical terminology, yet this editor is allowed to talk down to me?  I would like nothing better than to tell this certain editor to kiss me where the sun don't shine.

I suppose here in a couple of years my job will be obsolete in this company because the $2.00 a day MT's will take over completely, leaving me and many other Spheris employees out of work.

Can anyone give me information on Transcend Services Voice Recognition editors? sm
I was offered a job with them.  Curious as to how good their benefits are, how easy the program is, and if the dictations are REALLY awful or just as any others.  Any input on anything to do with the company and/or information on Voice Recognition editors would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance!
RISS is not a platform. RIS stands for Radiology Information System. The platform sm
would be EXText.
TransHealth's benefits look very good SM

and pay is very competitive (meaning 8 to 10 cpl).

Family coverage is about $450 a month...so, although not cheap, much better than what you're having to pay now.  Also, they start the first of the month after you start.  So, if you start on Feb. 15, medical benefits kick in March 1.

They have an ad on the Job Seekers board.  You should check them out.

(I just finished the testing process and am waiting to hear back from them.  Dictation portion was tough, but the rest was not too bad.  Verbal quiz was scary, but not difficult.  Someone with the amount of experience that you have would do wonderfully, I'm sure.)

Good luck!

They want you to keep your schedule for TAT purposes but will work with you to find a good schedule
I love working there.
Hourly pay, great benefits, schedule depends upon which accounts...sm
you are QAing.  Solid company.  Good luck!
TransHealth has great benefits, PTO, paid holidays for fulltimers. nm

Information on axolotl. Is it a fixed or flexible schedule?
Are you off all major holidays or do you have to have them approved and how many weeks paid vacation do you get?
What platform does Transhealth use? nm
nm
What is TransHealth's platform?

Does Transhealth still use the same yucky platform?
They had great benefits but their platform was awful.
What kind of platform does TransHealth use, and is it really productive? SM
I am seriously thinking of making a change but I need a good, slick program to work on. If there's anything I hate, it's a bulky platform LOL.  Also do they have good benefits all the way around, and are you treated with respect?  I guess mainly I'm worried about whether I can make close to $1000 per week, given time to get used to my accounts.  I have 27 years of experience and am fairly fast.  Thanks for any info you care to share!!
TransHealth has never used the Meditech platform. I think you're confused. nm

ANY INFORMATION ABOUT KEYSTROKES, PAY, BENEFITS?
ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED, IE., MINIMUM LINE REQUIREMENTS FOR FULL TIME, IF THEY OFFER BENEFITS, ETC.
Looking for information on T-C Transcription benefits...
Any current employees that are willing to discuss, please email me.....thanks...
Keystrokes....Any information as far as benefits?
Specifically insurance...family or just employee costs? I really need a job with good insurance. I have an individual plan now but the costs keep going up and the deductible gets higher and higher. Thanks.
With TransHealth's main platform ChartMatrix, the spellcheck is integrated. nm

MD-IT Intelligent- Any new information on this company i.e. pay, benefits etc.
TIA
Focus Infomatics..anyone have information on the cost of their insurance or other benefits?
I heard they recently started offering their employees insurance...just wondering the cost and if it's good insurance. Thanks
Tell us more about why you like it. Benefits? PTO? Easy Platform?
.
Information on platform, please

Does anyone have information on a system called Sequence that interfaces with Meditech. Like, dislike, good bad?? Thanks.

Fairly flexible but they do like a schedule. Insurance is good. Benefits are good in my opinion.

For the past week, work has been a little slower but I think that is common in every company..some days busy and other not.

Seeking information regarding KS platform

I have a few questions regarding the Meditech platform that Keystrokes uses on some accounts. The person who hired me wasn't in today, or I would have asked her. I hate to wait until Monday because I start with them in a week and I just want to make sure I have everything I need.

If anyone could help, please contact me via email so that I don't clog up this board with all the specifics!

Thanks!

Any information on Rapidtext, Inc? Do they pay on time, platform, etc.?

MDI-ers: Is Instant Text compatible with MDI's platform? Do they offer health benefits? nm
nm
They have to be flexibility because of the erratic work flow. No sense in a schedule if no work..
nm
As a whole.. nice people to work for, decent benefits but the get off/on the system, work/no work,
is maddening. I couldnt pay my bills or even work the schedule I was assigned. They would ask us not to work until work built up in the evenings and I specifically wanted to work days as I have kids etc. It just didnt work out for me but to each his own. It just seems there has to be a better balance in this business that what is happening.
Work schedule? (sm)
I am trying to come up with a schedule that will work well with an every other Sunday in it.  I work a 5-day week.  Any suggestions from MTs who also work this type of schedule?  I really prefer to have 2 days off in a row, but I don't know how I can do that on the weeks that I work the Sundays.
If you have to work set schedule, you are no IC.
:+
You should be an IC then if you don't work a schedule
There is a reason for schedules. How would you feel if you owned a company and the employees worked whenever they felt like it whether or not STAT's were waiting. Transtech is very flexible but if you don't want to work a schedule you need to be an IC where you can work whenever you feel like it and let the owners worry about other people being dependable. It's not just TransTech - it's any company with employees. Look for an IC job.
I don't work there, but if you have a set schedule

that they need to be available 24 hours a day to be there when the work is there.  Transtech has a lot to learn about being family friendly for domestic MTs.  After all, that is what they hire right (domestic MTs)?

Also, maybe they ought to stop overhiring and get over themselves!  JMO and I don't even work for them and probably wouldn't looking at this board.  Boy, they were a hot number a while back, but now they've shown their true colors.

Don't be mad OP; everyone is entitled to their opinion.  If you like working all hours of the day and night, then have at it, but don't bash the MTs that aren't in a position or don't want to be abused in that fashion.

I currently work for TransHealth. sm
Pay is accurate and always on time.  Benefits are very good (for full-timers).  Most of their accounts are acute care I believe, so you need to be adept at the basic 4, and able to transcribe ESLs (but that's the case anywhere nowadays).  I've always found the office staff and QA to be friendly and helpful.  I'm happy, but I realize that not every company is a perfect fit for every MT.  Good luck in whatever you decide.
Do you work for TransHealth. You like?

Then how are you being threatened to work your schedule
?
You'd think they would love someone to work that schedule.
Where have you applied? If I was an MTSO, I would love people to work that schedule.
keystrokes work schedule
Do you have to work your entire 8-hour shift or can you stop once you reach minimum daily lines? thanks.
As long as anyone's work schedule is
approved by their supervisor, that is between them and their supervisor, not anyone else's business.
You are required to work your schedule, even

if you get your lines in.  OT is paid at the standard 1-1/2 times your rate, but you don't get OT for typing over 1200 lines a day, unless you do the lines outside your normal schedule.  If you are scheduled to work 9 to 5 whatever lines you do are at your line rate.  If you work before 9 or after 5 those lines will be paid at 1-1/2 times your rate, so if you make 10 cpl, then OT will be 15 cpl.  Also there is a shift differential.  I'm not sure the exact hours are per shift, but if you work anything other than first shift there is a differential. Third shift pays a higher differential than second.

They also pay for downtime, so if the servers are down or there is a lack of work (which we have been on OT for months), then you keep track of your time and they pay an hourly rate.  If you are a productive MT you would make more money typing, but at least it is something.  You aren't required to make up lines outside your shift either.

Does TransHealth require you to work one day sm

of every weekend (such as Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs) or do they have M-F with rotating weekends?  TIA

Any company out there that allows you work without setting a schedule?
I am looking to pick up some extra cash but cannot really commit to a set schedule. There are a few times a week when I have a few hours (especially on the weekends) that I could type and would love to do some extra work.
Set-in-stone schedule or will they allow a window for work? nm
x
they call you if you don't work your schedule shift
nm
you _signed_ a contract to work a schedule with them?
x
I have to work 8-hour strict schedule SM
Platform is either Chartmatrix or Enterprise, average pay, the company is just average all around.  It's not horrible but it also isn't great.  Up until 6 months ago I would have recommended to give them a try, but they have started this downhill slide, feels more like Spheris now.  I have felt this for the last 6 months.  When the job market opens up a bit more I'm going to look around.
Do you work a straight 8-hour schedule?
On a good day when there is a lot of work available, I can make about $120 in 5 hours.  Plus that 5 hours is when 'I' want to do it throughout the day.  On an average day, I make about the same amount of money in about 6 to 6-1/2 hours.  Since I have been doing this job for so many years, my old body can't take sitting and typing for an extended period of time.  I really don't know if I could handle working 8 hours a day anymore.
