I dont cherry pick, never did. I dont do that to my coworkers on my account.

What is the new status. I dont understand what it means. I dont need their benefits nor do I want
them.
I dont know what that means. I am an SE. I dont sit and wait for work I come back in when it is
there so I never had to deal with Amherst when there was no work because I just stopped working and did other things. My feeling is if this doesnt work there are other jobs out there.
I just dont want to hit that extra space if I dont get paid for it, ya know. No message.

Should I run while I can still walk?
I took the MQ acute care test and passed. I am a newbie.  I graduated from Andrews.  I was finally offered a position with MQ. I was thrilled, even though I was told I had to start on clinic accounts only.  Let me say again, I passed the acute care test.  Now,  my first week at MQ, there is no work.  I was hired in to do only clinics per my office.  Know this is my first full week and I am begging for work.  There is no clinic work and I sit for hours waiting for work.  When I do get work it is very hard, unclear operative reports, even though I am only allowed clinic work.  I have emailed my supervisor, no answer. I emailed her last week also, and last night.  I am thinking maybe I should take the other job offer I got and run.  Any suggestions.
Run, do not walk...
To a company that will appreciate you. Did they give you a reason WHY you would be making less? I suspect it is because they want to fill their pockets with more of the sweat from YOUR brow. So it is $15 this time and you allow it. What next? Where will you say no - at 18, 20, 25? Go now with your head held high! :-)
Run don't walk :)
however, my *really bad* experience doesn't mean you would have the same situation.
Run, don't walk. There are much better
This company wants total perfection from the employees, then let them do the work with no errors and see how far they get. LOL. Taking lines away for errors is BIG red flag. I'm not perfect, are you?
RUN do not walk away from them!!!

Run...don't walk...from SPi...sm
This company is terrible.  They are all about taking money away from their MTs/QAs.  They offshore their work....which wouldn't be so bad, but they have accounts that have requested their work be done by USQA, etc...so you know what they do?  Train their people over in Coimbatore, Manila, etc., so they can obtain a CMT and then they use them as USQA.  How crooked is that?  I also know of an assistant lead QA who recently left there and right before she left, she was out due to mental/emotional stress that SPi had placed on her because she was required to work almost double of 80 hours in a 2-week pay period or get let go.  They also have issues paying you what you are due when you leave....so, this place has not changed a bit.  I'm glad I'm gone as I am sure others that have left are glad they are gone, too.
Not sure where they would walk to since

Run, don't walk!

Nastiest woman I have ever worked for. I quit and she had a fit ... sent me horrible e-mails on and on.

run don't walk
I'm so sorry to hear this.  I want to get out of where I am and was interested that MedScribe used ChartNet, an awesome platform.  Oh well.. so much for that good idea.  Guess I will stick with the sweatshop I'm at now.
Walk in my shoes

I am very small MTSO and it still gets hairy with turn around time.  All it takes is for one I/C to say, today I don't want to work -- which they can -- like the one above said, I want to work when  I want to and do as much as I want -- and suddenly she decides not to work, well suddenly that leaves 1000 to 3000 lines to be spread around, times that by 2 and what a mess.  You cannot control what and how much the docs dictate.  I would not hire someone unless they were strictly for overflow without somewhat of a committment whether it be the lines or time that the could do on specific days.  Imagine having 15 people with this attitude.  Like I said walk in my shoes, it is a balancing act.  Too much work, they gripe -- too little they gripe.   But someone that wants to work when they want, how much they want could not budget accounts that way.  It would be strictly overflow and then if you weren't available when the work was you probably would not stick around nor again would I keep you around.   Sure an IC can set their own hours but I expect a certain amount of work done in a certain amount of time to meet my TAT and not be docked because we didn't.

Run, don't walk away from this company.

I can tell you run don't walk from Chronicle

Did you just walk into the end of this conversation? You really
nm
I can't walk at the moment but

I'm definitely gearing up.  What burns me the most is that D says she's for the MTs, but where has she been these last few months when MTs have been starving for work?  Was she giving it to Transcend then?  How long have we been going without work because she was giving it to them?  And all along, she's been playing the supportive and caring act.  I think she quit caring back in April or May when we got that first shocking State of the Union about VR, cutting pay, etc.  It must have been in the works then.

What a complete disappointment.  I came to this company because of their loyalty to the MTs and now this.  Back to the pavement.

I didnt get the packet, do we have to take their insurance if we dont need it. I dont want it. Wish
I would have gotten the stupid thing to read.
constantly over-hire run don't walk nm

You mean the woman who took her time to walk me
through a problem at midnight one night? She spent her time helping me at their website and she did not have to do that. You call that hateful?

You people are too much.
Run, don't walk, away and read the archieves!
Not a good company to work for at all.  Psycho management. Very inconsistent and unfair.
Run don't walk away from Fast Chart.
I tested with them--and then I found out they were going to pay 6 cpl for IC work. Not only that, if you don't meet a certain quota, they actually charge you a fee to use their platform! They were rather fuzzy on the topic of whether this fee was waived if the failure to meet quota was THEIR fault, i.e. lack of work....

No experience beyond that; never worked for them, and never will, if that's the best they can do.
It is a very fine line you walk when you agree
to this - and you must be prepared to tell the IRS should you ever be audited (knock on wood) that the schedule you are working is the one you desire to work.  I would not commit this to writing - the employer is looking for trouble that way. You need to understand from the companies standpoint they need you to commit to a certain schedule because they need it covered - but I would not go so far as to commit to paper - just tell them you are a professional - you realize they need this coverage - and you will be there for them.
Here is my advice.......RUN, do not walk to the nearest phone book. sm
Look up Legal Aid of whatever city or state you live in. They are a group of lawyers and paralegals that do work for free or sliding scale, etc. They will do all the leg work for you. You supply them with copies of your documentation and any other records you have kept regarding email, snail mail, or phone calls.

The most important thing... when you talk to and deal with these people, document, document, document. Document EVERYTHING

Then go to the Better Business Bureau and let them know what is going on.

Call your state Atty General's office and tell them what is going on and give them copies of any documentation you have.

Then I would quit. I know she probably can't afford to and it is experience she may not be able to get anywhere else, but as the post below said, they aren't going to give her a good reference anyway if they have not responded to her mail and phone calls.

Let us know how it goes. Keep us posted.

Well, I know that MTs from my office have quite MQ and they dont post on here but I dont know how
many. I think MTs with MQ may be getting second jobs and just working for 2 different places at the same time which is probably the smart thing to do anymore because MQ will continue with this short TAT and as it spreads throughout other  offices people will continually be running out of work especially after going on DQS.
You obviously have the wrong company. If they dont IM you, then you dont have it on..
I smell management. Nothing you said makes sense unless there is another Focus out there.
Sorry if I dont like gutter humor. Also dont like
x
Dont kid yourself that people dont know what is going on. Do you honestly think these office people
dont talk. Maybe you should make sure you know what you are talking about before you open your mouth.
You dont have to tell me..

I see it quite clearly.  Some of that stuff is just plain crap, and it takes longer to change every other word or heading, etc. than to just type it yourself.  Trust me, I know the game they are running.  I am just trying to prevent others from going through the same thing a lot of us are going through right now.  All of this could have been avoided by just having a little more consideration towards their MTs.  There is ABSOLUTELY no reason why we should have had to work for 12 days and not know what we were making--NO REASON.  I think this really shows just how much they really DON'T care about us as MTs, and that makes me both sad  and angry .

I dont know why
WHY what did your lawyer think?
dont do it
there are jobs out there that are more dependable.  Dont go there.  Not right now.  Honestly, the system is new and there have been many new changes implemented.  They are still in the process of making changes and it is a mess.  The system has so many bugs in it that it is constantly going down and screwing up.  There are times that it is down for hours and hours.  You cannot depend on getting your line count in.  Also, there is lack of work on many, many accounts way too often.  They are going to editing and you will only get paid about 4 cpl.  It is a mess.  Please look somewhere else.
Dont do it. Dont take the job. You will

really regret it.  I was laid off from my hospital job and went to work for a national and it has been the absolute worst experience.  My income has gone down so much that I leave the answering machine on now because the bill collectors are calling me every day.  The security of knowing that you are paid by the hour no matter what makes all of the difference in the world.  When the national has platform problems, computer problems, no work (which happens frequently), etc. you are NOT PAID.  You just have to sit and wait until THEY fix it.  The benefits are nothing like you get working in house and they are so expensive.  I just really think you should consider all of these factors and understand that it is very different from working for a hospital.

At least it has been for me, they dont TELL you to sit and
and I dont if I dont want to. If I have otherthings to do, I do them. Places to go, I go. As FT though, I do make up the hours or use PTO (which I hate doing) and really more now since my company took any PTO over 40 hours we had not used as of 12/31.
I dont know but it

is a paid ad, so they have to still be in business. They can't be too hard to find on Google or they would damage their business dealings. Sorry, I just saw the banner and knew people were questioning their existence.

I just dont do it
I personally do not accept a job that pays low. I can understand if you need the job yesterday; but with forethought and planning, a seasoned Transcriptionist should NOT work for peanuts EVER! I try not to accept less than 10 cpl, period; 9 cpl is really easy account as a subcontractor of course.
DONT DO IT! nm

DONT DO IT
DON'T DO IT...they ARE the same company as in the Phillipines operated by a very nasty CEO that will NOT pay you.  She has been sued so many times for non payment.  Not good people to work for.
DONT DO IT
YES they are the same company in Tennessee and the Phillipines.  I use to work in both offices...trust me...DONT DO IT...very nasty owner, short fuse and will NOT pay you!

I dont know about everyone else, but my PC
In the last coupla weeks, it's slowed down about 50%.
You dont have to have radar here
Agree with poster above who said that only you can change things for yourself.  Maybe shouldnt have used the terms babies.  Fine, okay, I'll admit that.  And I dont take anything on here personally.  All I am saying is that all anyone does anymore is complain.  It is tiresome and old.
you work there dont you? You tell us

Dont you wish someone would have warned you?...
I have gotten a lot of grief for trying to warn people about what was happening to me and others and that it would soon be happening to a large majority of you.  I think it is a duty that we should all have.  Why would you let someone else go through something horrible if you could possibly stop it.  I loved the "old" Transcend and its management--not too happy with the "new" Transcend or its management.  However, that is my opinion.  I see there are many others with the same opinion, and these number will continue to grow if Transcend does not wake up.  I was a "Current Transcender" until now.  I just can't do it anymore.  I tried to fight the good fight and hold on to them (at least until I found something else better), but my children need to eat, and I have a mortgage and bills to pay.  I can no longer be a Transcend cheerleader.  I was a cheerleader in the past and referred other MTs to the company (all of whom left before I did), but it is just a really "bad" place to work as far as wages go.  I have to do what is best for me now.  I can't go bankrupt for Transcend.  Thank God I had the wisdom to find another job to supplement early on in this "transition" process.  If not, I would be homeless now.  I certainly do not wake up every day with my only purpose being to bash Transcend.  I had to be honest with myself and others or I couldn't sleep at night.  I wish all of you the best and hope you and Transcend figure it all out before it is too late for you.
Dont worry,
I never got a phone call, but got my packet today.
One word......DONT'!

if that;s the stuff you want, DONT' GO THERE!
