Any people at CardioScribes get paid today? When I got my invoice yesterday, sm

I kinda thought that meant I'd be paid today.  I know payday is not until tomorrow, but they usually are early, and I thought I'd check before I asked Raul about it.

Thanks.

I took their test yesterday, and today got a call
with no interview, nothing - and got offered a job. Want me to train tomorrow, and start next week already. Seems suspect. Although, he did say they have the account, but can't actually get it up and running until they get people in place. Very weird ... I pass.
sent resume yesterday, offer today nm

Well, mine have even less today than yesterday. I don't know what is going on. I know summer te
to wax and wane, but I've only seen wane this summer, no wax.  Usually it's up and down, not steadily down, in my experience.  I'm becoming very concerned about being able to make ends meet.
I e-mailed with resume yesterday and am testing today.
She gave me 2 company names I had not seen on the boards, both have better terms than I am making now or had found on my own.
Passed their test, had 2nd interview yesterday. Today,
this is the response I received via e-mail.

Thank you very much for taking the time to speak with me yesterday about employment opportunities at MD-IT. Unfortunately, your attributes as a Transcriptionist do not meet our needs.

What attributes are they looking for, I ask? Worked for same company for years, 99.5% QA score every quarter, always working on time every day, team player.

I didn't like the 2nd interview, knew it was not going well. The questions asked were phony psychological garbage, and no matter your experience and how well you tested, everyone starts on their tier system at 0.075 cpl...slave wages.

I had already decided overnight I would not go to work for them even if offered, so I feel I have been blessed today and kept from making a huge mistake in working for a company that devalues you before you even walk through the door.

Hallelujah! Be joyful fellow MT. There are better companies out there than this one.

That explains it, yesterday I had no work, this morning DS on today's date. NM

I had no problems working yesterday, but today I'm completely locked out ... sm
The suggestions given by MDI's tech support have not worked for me, and I haven't been able to work all day. I see that I just received another email from them. Maybe I'll have good luck with this suggestion.
The people at CardioScribes called us transcribers. I wasn't offended, sm
but I always thought a transcriber was the piece of equipment on my desk.  The other poster is right, though -- better than typist .. UGH.
People at TT have been paid! People who haven't well, maybe you did not make count and your check
after insurance deduction. Maybe your bank is holding it. Maybe anything! But we GOT PAID. This is NO LIE. And I am sick of this board. Nothing but disgruntled exemployees arguing with employees who like their job. Ugggg. I am working. BTW: THERE IS WORK (clears throat) remember that? Work?
Did everyone get paid today?
;
Has anyone at TT been paid by the new co. today?
m
Me too, although I wouldn't have objected if I had been paid today. :-) sm
Tuesday seems like a long time away ... waaaaah ... lol
Should be .. 1st is today, so we are paid the Monday after (I'm cashless too!) nm

SO right! People who get paid to bring people on-board -sm
to these companies (few, if any, are 100% honest, it seems), are going to be honest and tell you anything that isn't rosy and sugar-coated. Having a good prospective MT walk because the company isn't so great means less green dollars in their bank account every month. They're not going to tell us anything that DOESN'T make them more money.
I pulled a report I did today. I get paid 65 characters.

At 65 characters it was 110 lines and at 55 it was 130.   If the 65 is employee status and there are other benefits that would be the one I would choose.  If you don't have benefits it would probably be 6 of one and half-dozen of the other.

Sorry couldn't be more helpful.  Having to make a decision too.  One job pays more per line but no benefits, no bonuses.  The other job pays a little bit less but has incentives and good benefits.   Sounds like a no brainer but it is still hard to decide.

I would look at how productive you could be.  I know you probably don't have any idea if you aren't familiar with the account.  I'd also look at the stability of the company.  There are no guarantees, but if there is a mom and pop company, versus a 300+ MT company, that may play a factor.  Check the boards on both companies (I'm assuming it is 2 different companies but maybe it is just pay scale difference) and see what others have said about them.  Tons of ESLs, hard to make lines, very inflexible with schedule, etc.

You can take job #1, but there is no law that says you are there for the next 2 years and maybe job #2 will still be willing to hire you.

Note the above poster did not come back today and say she did not get paid.
I would like everyone who followed this thread to note this poster that had so many negative things to say about Cardioscribes, where she says she works, did not post she did not get her paycheck today. That should be the answer to the this whole thread. Also, I offered to help whoever was saying she does not get her line count or pay, and not one person contacted me. Again, I think that speaks volumes.
Cute :-) Yep, we got paid today. Now I can buy that popsicle I was dreaming about ... LOL nm

Give it some time. I think some people aren't working today and the ice

I paid people to test
Before half my work went to cheaper services, I paid people for their tests. Why look at old work for a test when I could send out a current sound file and grade it rather than work it up myself. Because I have moral standards, I would pop a check in the mail to the tester. I had to lay everyone off when they pulled all the easy ones and left me with the harder docs. It wasn't India that stole my biz but rather a desperate American MT who sold out the profession when she bid such a cheap rate. For her cheap rates, she gets the gravy work. I suppose I'm disillusioned now, but it's better than having illusions.
Actually, no. Most people would get paid at work!

Not that many QA people are paid by the hour sm
I am on furlough from a job that paid me hourly to QA. I was paid $16 and hour and I can do almost double that with VR or with typing. I QA for other reasons.

At my FT job that I still have, the QA is paid 3.5 cpl to edit reports and VR is 4.5 cpl. Given what QA has to deal with, which are traditional reports with the worst dictators and numerous blanks, that is almost not enough. Our VR platform is good, not outstanding, good. I have reports where I hardly change a thing and I feel overpaid. One of our accounts has MTs who are not doing their VR properly and the VR on THAT account is a pain in the backside. My primary is excellent, however, and I got to 400 lph in the first couple of days I used it. About 10 days in, I did more like 500 an hour today.

VR is not for every MT. Typing the old-fashioned way is not for everyone either. Personally, I am glad that no one has offered me hourly to do VR because they would not pay me what I am already making...and it is early days yet. Paying QA hourly has lead to some pretty shoddy work and QA people who bilk the system, I know because I have seen it.

Your points are valid. I am wondering what VR system you are using and who you work for. I tried it on WordClient Extext about a year ago...AWFUL. I am on ExEditor now and it is a breeze. I have a friend who has done Escription for a few years and loves that platform. Now, both Escription and ExEditor learn corrections as they go along. The problem is that so many MTs don't know their stuff, have a slightly different style or, sadly, don't care about their work and they are not actually editing the work. That adds up to a mess for those who care about their work, know their stuff and are making an honest effort. My main account has the best our company has to offer in the way of MTs because the account is very picky. End result? Excellent and constantly improving VR script.

There are just so many variables with this, more than with traditional MT, even with ESLs figured in.

Oh and by the way, we have some terrible ESLs they put through VR and I love it! Slow boring dictators are easy with VR. Even the slurring, sloppy talkers are good. Add in that my hands hurt a lot less and I am less tired at the end of a day...well I am ecstatic.
you are an SE, not an IC, so you don't submit invoice
Work period ends every other Friday and then you are paid the following Friday. They tally your lines and pay you according to it. You don't submit invoices. My pay has always been correct.
They pay 21 days after receipt of invoice....

Any FutureNet'ers out there? Invoice Question...
In iType when you go look at your invoice information, is the QA% given your actual QA percentage?  If not, what does that mean?  I have some weird values on one account and low values on another...
Old posts had people not getting paid money due them when they decided to leave. nm
s
No, but one place would do it after we sent a copy of the bill with our invoice, or mailed it
s
Great bunch of people to work with, pay on time, my only problem is that QA is paid by line instead
of by the hour and you must listen to all reports 100% instead of just jumping and filling in the QA markers.
Time for a registered letter to them with a copy of your invoice for payment within 10 days or
s
You bill 30 days behind, and they snail mail it so it's late - about 40 days from invoice
No way jose - they even messed up their direct deposit payments
I got my invoice Thursday and sent it in Thursday. Guess you are special. Hip hip hooray. nm

Cardioscribes
Anyone heard back from Cardioscribes, anyone start work with them, any infor at all.  Thank you.
Cardioscribes
They are hiring a lot of people but seem to be handling it well and there seems to be enough work.  Communication is good and nice people to work for!
Cardioscribes
I started with Cardioscribes a few weeks ago and like it very much. There is plenty of work. The people are extremely nice and helpful and are always available to answer questions. Communication line is great.
cardioscribes pay
THIS COMPANY IS NOT GOOD ABOUT PAYING ON TIME. THEY EXPECT A TURNAROUND TIME FOR THEIR WORK, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO GET YOUR MONEY
Cardioscribes
Has anyone applied and heard back from them? Good, bad or indifferent?
cardioscribes
I have been with them for a month now and I LOVE THEM!!!  They are awesome to work for with good accounts, plenty of work and pay on time.  Good management support as well.
Cardioscribes pay
i cannot image such a thing happening with this company. if indeed it did happen that way, a simple phone call would clarify any issues. i have been with them for well over a year and have never had a paycheck late and in fact - have been paid promptly each and every time i submit a billing statement. i would like to have the details of your experience. something must have gone terribly wrong.
Cardioscribes
This is a great company to work for. The system is good, the communication is good, and your work schedule is flexible. I have never had a problem getting paid, which of course is the most important thing. If you like cardiology, this is the place to be!
Cardioscribes
I had heard that they did not have set pay days, that sometimes it would be a couple days after invoicing and other times a week. Is this true?
Cardioscribes
I can tell you the platform is a breeze. It will take about 15 minutes to train. Team spirit is wonderful. There is great communication especially when you are getting started. You are not just left hanging. If you know cardio you will not have a problem with any of these accounts. In my opinion, you will love it. Ton of work now and coming up.
Cardioscribes
Was anyone scheduled for training today?
cardioscribes
I have been trying to work with them, but, while I am quite self-sufficient and a self-starter, I do need a little bit of guidance and it doesn't seem to be coming with this company.  The first couple of times there was no work, then I got a job, but no samples or idea of how to format.  I don't know, maybe it's just me.  Let me know how it goes with you.
Cardioscribes...sm please

Are there a lot of ESLs on the accounts?  Seems like every place I have ever worked typing cardio....the ESLs far outnumbered the EFLs.  Thanks.

Any Cardioscribes MTs know
I had sent all my paperwork to the recruiter and I've been trying to email her but am getting no replies.  I started a little before the pay period ended and I'm trying to find out when pay day actually is.   Is there a HR dept?  I only have IM addresses of people I ask to send my MT jobs.  Also, how do you contact QA people?  Is there an acct list with contacts on it?
Cardioscribes - I see they are
current information on them?  I applied the last time they were doing a big hiring but never heard back from them.  Any current MTs working there that can share their experience?  I see some posts regarding irregular pay dates - is this still going on or was it just a one time thing?  How is the work load, do they have a lot of work?  What kind of platform?
Cardioscribes
Guys I am so sad to see such negative posts on here.   I have been with the company for a year now.  I am the one who wrote the statement about the company thats posted on their site about how employees feel about the company. That is exactly how I felt about the company the day I wrote that and that is exactly how I feel about the company TODAY.  I am not spokeperson for the company and I dont even play one on TV.   I get paid just like everyone else, per line.   I have never missed a check. If there was any kind of discrepancy, I have contacted the person who does our line counts and the issue has always been resolved.  If , in fact, I was due more money, then they have wired the money to my account the following day.  I have worked for several companies in the past and I was treated horribly.  The QA was rude.  They didnt even know who i was half of the time or even care.  There was a certain amount (line count) I had to type or my employment was terminated, regardless of the fact that I have a family to feed.  With Cardioscribes, its nothing like that.  They call me by name, they are always helpful and pleasant and they understand that I have a life outside of work, so if things come up (doctor apts, etc), they completely understand.   NEVER have I been treated rudely by any employee from either India or the US Cardioscribes family.  In fact, I have never seen such friendliness and willingness to help.  I am so sorry for those that have had a bad experience with Cardioscribes, but really its just a handful of people who choose to be vocal on a company board, but the majority of Transcriptionist in the cardioscribes family are happy with their jobs.  I truly hope that if you are considerating a position with Cardioscribes that you will not be discouraged by a few negative posts.  Good luck in all you do.
What's up with Cardioscribes?

Are they reorganizing or was there a massive walk-out? I heard mixed postings here about this company, but thought that for the most part people were happy there. Suddenly all of these top positons even the admin asst is posted. Too bad you can't do one of these jobs remotely, it would be great to get a position like one of those but they are all on site.  Anybody heard what's going on over there? Just wondering. TIA.

Cardioscribes
For anyone looking for information on this company, I am more than happy to share my experience.  You may e-mail me privately.  What I will say here publicly is that this is one of the most dishonest organizations (and I use the word organization very loosely here) I have been involved with.  They began with the lie of misleading me into thinking that I was hired by and American-owned company.  Then, once I began work, I was told to contact the MediHelp team to ask for files.  It became very clear that the file allocation team consisted of all Indian workers.  The allocation team lied to me on a daily basis about files being unavailable, and no wonder.  Their leader, Rahul, made practice of lying constantly as well.  I was liked to about everything from file availability to payroll.  I confronted them about it and was fired during the middle of my shift one day.  Keep in mind that my supervisor had given me glowing reviews of my work and had asked Rahul to make sure I had enough work each day.  Suddenly, during my shift one day, I received the e-mail that I was fired.  No phone call, no reason, no anything.  My supervisor  became very evasive and would not respond to my questions of why.  I know why, though.  I confronted Rahul and the allocation team about their dishonesty, and suddenly I didn't have a job.  But I know for sure that my supervisor and her supervisor sided with the dishonest people and did not stand up for me because they obviously are spineless and they want to protect their own jobs.  I can just about guarantee, though, that the Indians will cut them loose in the same cruel way I was treated, and it probably won't be in the distant future.  These Indian companies have absolutely no loyalties to anyone.  And I should have quit right on the spot when I found out that I had been lied to about the company's ownership.  As their recruiter and transcription supervisors are American, you don't know when being hired what the truth is, and they are NOT about to tell you before you're already on the payroll.

Just got offered a job.  I know there are some on here who work for them.  Please let me know what you think of them.  Tx
