Are benefits as good as they sound?  How's the pay rate for acute and/or radiology?  How are they to work for?  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I noticed in past posts they said they hound you when you're not working. But they're advertising a flexible schedule right now.  Is that something new?

Any problems with getting paid?  Is the pay decent?

Do they have decent accounts or are they for the most part extremely difficult?

Is their system efficient?  I'm so tired of wasting so much time keeping logs of everything and having to type patients' names and data that I don't get paid for. 

Is the sound quality good?

Is it really all American?

Here are 9 questions about Acusis.  Any or all answers would be so helpful.

1. What platform do they use?  User Friendly? 


2. Benefits.  Which health insurance carrier?  PPO?  HMO? 


3. What is the deductible amount (employee coverage, no family). 


4. Accounts:  High ESL?  Enough work?  Back up accounts?   


5. QA:  Too much?  Too little?  Constructive or too critical? 


6. Email communication timely? 


7. Is hiring process drawn out?


8. Do they provided equipment.  Does it arrive in timely fashion?  Any out-of-pocket expenses?


9. Pay on time?  Direct deposit?  Any line rate information?  Minimum line requirement?

I don't see anything more recent than 6/05 in the archives.  I think this one is in Floriday, but don't know for sure.  Web site sounds great.

I've been looking in the archives, but I can't seem to come up with much (specific) recent info, so I wonder if any current Transtech MTs might be willing to give me a little info.

Are they a good company to work for?  Nice people?  What type of platform they use?  Is it easy or hard to make your lines?  What is their approximate pay range (not specifically, just generally).  Do they have a decent (do-able) incentive program?  Are they strict with your schedule or are they willing to be a little flexible?  Is their benefit package really as good as it sounds?

Sorry for so many questions, but I'm trying to decide between another company and TransTech, so any information that you could give me to help me in my decision, positive or negative, would be most appreciated!  You can email me privately if you don't want to post.

Since the archives are acting up, need something current on SPi from someone in the know.  Pay, work schedules, how they are to work with, etc.

I thought you might enjoy these two tidbits from recent interviews with unnamed companies.  When I asked the first recruiter/owner about the insurance they offered in their ad, I was told that contract had lapsed and there was not a new one signed yet.  She went on to volunteer her opinion that people are better off without health insurance -- that way you can use the free clinics (TRUE story).  The second one advertised 8.5 to 10 cpl transcription and 0.4 to 0.5 VR.  Unfortunately, those positions (although I applied within minutes of the post)  were filled but I was offered 8 cpl transcription and 0.3 VR.  Bait and switch much?

Just curious - if you had a phone interview, was the recruiter on time to call you? I had one scheduled but haven't received any contact.

There was a recent post on AOL about earning extra money with a second job during the recession  One of the jobs listed was medical transcription and the article stated if you can type and have excellent English skills you can do this job at home and earn extra money  --  My supervisor informed me of the link originally, then I saw it later that day  -- no wonder this profession has gone downhill :(

hi, all.  i searched the boards for recent info on softscript; latest is from august--not very postive.  they say they're interested in an RN w/ MT experience & sent the link to their test.  just want to know if anyone working for them now (or who has worked w/ them recently) has any input.
