PMSI anyone hear of them? SM
Just wondering if anyone knows how long they have been in existence - website does not say - anyone know what website you can go to for that information?  Thank you.
What the big hoopla about PMSI. Are they really great to work for or something. What do they offer?
Good pay, benefits, platform, what??? It just seems A LOT of people are interested so I figured they must have something wonderful going on for them.
Would love to hear how your new job is going
Sharmz, I would really appreciate any update. I think that would help me a lot in deciding which way to go. Thanks so much for your post. Good Luck on your new position.
I sent you an email; but I'd love to hear about this - sm
radio receiver thing. How does it work? What do I need to get it? We have a huge radio antenee on one side of the house that the previous owner used for some sort of radio transmitting, ham radio operator or something like that. Love to learn more and see if this is a way I could get high-speed.
I would love to hear which companies would pay more.
I applied for several but that was the best I could do.
Paladin Retrieval? Would love to hear from
Do they pay timely? Direct deposit? Any info is appreciated.
Definately call. They will love to hear from you and
x
I love it.. and I see and hear a lot of positive things...
I do not know why the poster below says to get everything in writing; I have been a part of Transcend since 2003 and I really do love it. No issues, good communication, good pay. I have been in this industry a long time and have heard (and seen firsthand) a lot of horror stories. You cannot please everyone, but my experience has been very good. Feel free to e-mail me directly
Now, did you hear me say I didn't love him? I just have a man who wants to pamper me and why not.
I have my own money too kiddo, I'm not that dumb! I have a great man and a great life here and I'm loving it! Lots of love, lots of free time and more importantly, not slaving at the computer for peanuts!
When I hear an MT say they have 20 years experience,
There's a whole lot of difference between 20 years in a specific specialty or a clinic, and 20 years in acute care doing all the work types. Also, when I used to hire MTs, I'd tend to grab up the ones who trained physically on site at a hospital or in the office of an MTSO for a couple of years and had the benefit of being around other MT's or QA'ers who could give them help and feedback on the spot. I absolutely believe there should be meaningful certifications (not just for entry level) for different tiers of ability.
Has anyone had experience with both eScription and ASR @Wedmedx? I hear a lot of sm
good things about eScription, but I don't have amnything to compare it to (except ASR at Webmedx). Anyone?
Let's hear from the MTs that love their companies, their jobs and have a great line count
I love where I work, happy with line count, happy with earning potential.  Love being an MT and working at home.  You???
I would LOVE to hear opinions on Enterprise platform for Webmedx&for Shorthand.See msg.
Thanks so much!  Does anyone know if Instant Text will work with Enterprise also.  The recruiter who offered me a job was fuzzy on that.  Any webmedx employees who would like to E-mail me opinions, etc., I would deeply appreciate it
I've used both PC SH & Instant Text and they are comparable ... would love to hear comparison (s
Shorthand (or my version of it) seems to have a compatibility problem with the Bayscribe platform Expander ...so I just use ShortHand (I don't know if it's just my quite old version or not) ...

I switched from Instant Text to Shorthand when the in-house Meditech job I was working agreed to install Shorthand for the department.

I believe they both have 90 day or some such downloadable trials.

If you have more than one computer, it's not a bad idea to buy the disk and documentation so if you need/want to reinstall it, it's there ... though that may be old school thinking on my part.

Good luck.
I HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE THERE, AND I THINK PEOPLE DESERVE TO HEAR ABOUT IT...

IT WAS GREAT WHEN I FIRST STARTED, THAT MUCH I WILL ADMIT.  I WAS PLEASANTLY SUPRISED AT THEIR WILLINGNESS TO HELP, THEIR KINDNESS, AND THEIR AVAILABILITY TO THE MT'S.  BUT AS MANAGMENT CHANGED, SO DID ALL OF THE WONDERFUL THINGS THAT MADE DSG SO PERSONAL.

I LEFT ON MY OWN TERMS.  I WAS NOT FIRED... I AM NOT A MAD IC OR EMPLOYEE THAT WAS TERMINATED.  I WAS SICK OF BEING TREATED LIKE CRAP ALL OF THE TIME.  AND I STILL TALK TO MANY FRIENDS THAT I HAVE MADE THERE AT DSG, AND THEY WILL ALL SAY THE SAME THING... DSG HAS BECOME A VERY IMPERSONABLE PLACE TO WORK, AND IS A PLACE WHERE YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR WORK.  WE WERE NEVER ENCOURAGED TO HELP EACH OTHER AND WERE OFTEN GREETED WITH RUDE COMMENTS FROM THE MANAGEMENT WHEN TRYING TO DO SO.

I DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP QUIET ABOUT MY OPINION OF DSG OR THEIR UNPROFESSIONALISM.  IT IS A FREE COUNTRY.

THANKS FOR YOUR BLESSINGS, THEY ARE NOT NEEDED.  I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WHERE I AM NOW.  NO NEED TO FIGHT FOR WORK, AND MAKING MUCH MORE INCOME.  SO YOU CAN HAVE DSG... FOR ME IT WAS A STEPPING STONE ON THE WAY TO A REAL JOB...

I love it, and have not had that experience...
I also would never think of the term shady to describe anyone at MDI. You really need to find another job.
My experience is different - I love it.

I have seen good and bad about most companies on this board.  I suggest that people make their own decisions.  I don't doubt that your experience or what you say could be true, but I also know of 10 people that love the place (my team).

With over 1,000 transcriptionists, I do not think it is unusual that there may be some unhappy ones.   I can only talk about my experiences.

Please feel free to e-mail me if you would like more information.  I do not like to discuss specifics on these forums.

Ihave nearly 20 years' experience and love doing

Ops.  All the other stuff is so boring to me.  Not many days go by that I don't have to look something up.  There is always a new piece of equipment, a new procedure, and when you get new doctors coming it they may been from a different part of the country and their terminology is different for the same procedure that the other doctors use.  It is a constantly learning process.   If you have good reference material and utilize the equipment manufacturer's websites that helps provided the dictation is clear enough that you can figure out which way to go with it.  If you can do just one speciality, like doing GI procedures or orthopedic procedures it will give you lots of practice and it will be easier to become familiar with the terminology.  If you can get samples of dictations that will help also.   I would definitely take a chance on doing Ops.  You might not be able to do them, but then you might surprise yourself.    You always have the word boards to help when you really get stuck.   I think it is a great opportunity for a newbie.

I am in training - 27 years experience. Love the platform! nm

Here, here. Exactly my experience also, even down to the 10 year work experience. nm

PMSI?
Does anyone work here or have any information on this company? Thanks.
pmsi
PMSI has held their head high and deservedly so.  Please don't judge this wonderful company based on one person's negativity.
PMSI
Thank you for your positive comments. I am the one they said the negative and untrue things about, however, I did not do the original post. I was just accused of doing so and terminated for supposedly doing so. I really wish whoever did that original post would own up to it and stop all the negativity. I want to just move on with life.
PMSI
However, they attacked an innocent person. I DID NOT DO THE ORIGINAL POSTING, yet they attacked me. I was unhappy with some rude comments made to me by one of the owners and told her personally so she then assumed I was a total idiot and would publicly post garbage. She has every right to post her rebuttle, but to publicly say nasty and untrue things about me was improper.
PMSI

You know, it's amazing that you would say you did not have doctors' addresses.  With the plethora of information we are given, it is rare indeed that one has to leave a blank for a doctor's address.

PMSI
Does anyone know anything about this co?  Thanks
Anyone know about PMSI??
What is the word on this company?
PMSI
They only have IC status and the pay is 8 cpl.
PMSI
I have worked for PMSI as a radiology Transcriptionist for almost three years and I think they are great.  The owners are former transcriptionists who understand what we are going through.  They are very understanding about family emergencies, and they actually believe that their employees have lives outside of transcribing.  I  worked for a large national company and two small locally owned companies  before I came to PMSI, but PMSI is by far the best of the bunch.
Anyone know anything about PMSI? sm
I am going to test with them and I want to know if anyone has anything good or bad to say about them.  TIA.
PMSI

Ugh! They are rude!

Looking for info on PMSI..

Cannot view the archives at present

Have you heard from PMSI yet? sm
I haven't heard from them yet and I am starting to get a little antsy.  You can e-mail me if you want.  Thanks!
PMSI Test

What kind of equipment (if any) does one need to take the PMSI test? It is a written test or transcription test?

Thanks

To the person who just tested with PMSI, how did it go? nm
xx
I tested for PMSI over the weekend, but SM

haven't heard anything yet.  The person who contacted me seemed really nice.  If the test is indicative of their work, I think I'd really enjoy it.

Has anyone else heard how well they did on the test?

Does anyone know if it is IC work or do they have employee status too?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll get back to me.

JustMe - Have you heard from PMSI yet? sm
I haven't heard from them and I'm starting to get antsy.  Let me know if you have heard from them, you can e-mail me if you want.  Thanks.
Have any of you heard back from PMSI? I'm also having a bit of a

I hear you can't get enough work
with accuscribe.
I'll love to know who you work for. I also work every weekend with no extra pay.
It'd be nice to get paid for all the nights and weekends I work.
Thank you! I am glad to hear that there is clinic work with SM

Great company and I hear that work will
soon be picking up. I was hired recently, too, and I am willing to wait on some more work just to have the nice people to work for. Also, they pay half of the social security tax, not half of your taxes. But compared to IC deductions, that is a big help.
Sten-Tel...any QAs here work there? If so, how is it? I'd be happy to hear from ya:D nm

Love, love, love TransTech! Not overhiring, just growing like crazy!

Anyone that applied with Kathy Kirby hear anything yet? I am wondering how long it takes to hear a
response back
Personally, I prefer to be left alone to work. I hear from my lead when I need her and sm
one or two other times a month, never excessive like a certain company that is rah-rah'd on here. No problem with communication in the two years I have been with them!

Gheesh! Some people have something to complain about no matter what, surprised if even a Keystroke's employee. It is easy to form an opinion when only a handful of employees post here.
Now I hear this company plays games with the work flow when you
start getting a higher line count. This is not surprising. I have BTDT and don't want to go through it again. There are enough posts now for me to say I am just done with the whole thing altogether and I am not a happy camper! Thanks for your feedback here and below. Saved me some headaches!
I am glad to hear that a lot of money can be made with MT work. This gives me hope for the future.
$$
Spheris has work and they would love to have you work

I would love to work for DRC (sm)
but their family insurance coverage is over $900 per month! I can't afford to pay half of my salary for insurance. I wish they had a cheaper insurance plan.
I LOVE it this way! I get my work at 6 am and have
until 6 am the next day to return it completed. I love it! It's the greatest thing in the world. Some days, I type all morning and I'm done by noon, some days I have things to do so I type in the evening - works out great, AND, I get paid much higher doing it this way!
