Current info on Diskriter?? Past info was very mixed. Either MTs hated it or liked it, does anyone

love working there and why? Do you easily meet your incentive pay or as past people have said, the ESL are so bad that you never meet the line count. I need current and new information. Isnt there a company out there that has a handful of happy employees or does all of them have both the haters and lovers. It is so hard to sort out fact from fiction sometimes and all of us have different expectations. It kind of goes along with the one man's junk is another man's treasures theory, I suppose.

Any info on Diskriter?

Is there lots of work?  How is QA?  Are you on a "time clock", where they monitor your computer?  How are benefits?   Thanks

Info on Diskriter
I have been with Diskriter since January, I haven't had a problem with work and benefits are good, especially when I think of what I was paying with my last employer, Diskriter just switched to Highmark Blue Cross which I am happy about!
Diskriter info...sm
I left DR after 3 months.  Platform is not easy (CareFlow) and sound is not always good.  You have to look at so many screens before you type, and look up names, or correct the shell, or go to your email and download names and instructions in PDF format that you will find you type 50% of the time and waste the other 50% of your shift looking up stuff and doing you email.  I don't care which account you are on, when the Account Manager of one account puts out a call for help to meet her TurnAroundTime, you account manager will lend you out, because missing TAT costs the company and the Account Manager money.  I did as many as 4 account in one day, and 3 was not unheard of.  I mean, they put you on an account with no instructions and you only know its a new or different account when you get the job and start emailing for help.  The MT is the least important member of the team to Diskriter.  A SmartSource account is working for a hospital with Diskriter managing it for the Hospital.  I have not done this so can't say if it is good or not.  I will only work for an hourly wage from now on, I need to know that the bread I put on the table is based on my hard work and not the whims of the docs who dictate, cause when you work by the line, when the doc has a bad day, YOU HAVE A BAD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!  No more of those for me...
Diskriter info sm

Diskriter does pay for down-time, just got an email today that confirmed it on our account because we got caught up for the first time in months and had about an hour with low work load - supervisor said document the time, if your schedule doesn't allow you to make it up, then put down-time on timesheet and it will be paid.  They pay down-time for meetings too.  Whoever posted that, obviously has never had down-time or they would know it is paid, why else would there be a slot on the timesheet to document it? DUH!

I have looked elsewhere and never gotten any better offers with other companies.  There is always work (except for 1 hour this morning on the account I'm, which was just weird).  As far as their offshoring, it is minimal, they don't deny it and it is at clients request who don't want to pay for our work, but it is all QAd by Diskriter's U.S. MTs.

They are hiring PT because we need people nights and weekends and most people don't want those hours and that's all they can find is PT help for those hours.  If they could have staffed it with full-time, we wouldn't need more people now would we.

Some of you people just don't know what your talking about that post here.  If you think they sound good, go for it, we would love to have you.

Diskriter info
Thanks for all the information, but I didn't mean to get anyone upset.  I have made my decision anyway and I am starting soon with Diskriter soon.  I guess I figure things out with them as I good.  Thanks again.
Diskriter...info please...sm
I am trying to decide whether to take a job with this Diskriter.  They have great benefits that I am looking for.  I have read both bad and good about them, but was looking for recent info on them.  If you could email me personally if you do not want to reply here I would greatly appreciate it.  I just want to know what I am getting into.  I know all companies have good and bad, but it is nice to know what to look out for and what questions to ask up front.  Thanks and hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
Diskriter, Inc. - anyone have any info?

diskriter info

I'm considering a position with Diskriter, have to test tomorrow.  Recruiter mentioned it is a 2 hour test, any give any info on how the test is structured, that seems to be a long time to test for something I may or may not accept.  Also, anyone working with Diskriter have any pro or cons to share.  Thanks

Diskriter info

Any Diskriter transcriptionists out there who work on the hem/onc account they are advertising on the job board?  Please e-mail with the following information:  How difficult is the account in regard to ESL dictators?  What is their starting rate for a very experienced hem/onc person?  What platform do they use?  Is it a good one or bad one?

I would appreciate any info you may have regarding these questions.  Thanks.

Anyone with info on Diskriter, Inc.? sm

Anyone know what platform they use?  Easy or difficult to learn?  Do they pay on time, etc?  Any info much appreciated.

Diskriter info
I was offered a position at Diskriter.  I just wanted some feedback from people who work there or have worked there.  What kind of company it is?  Speech recognition work?  Base pay? etc.  Any info would be appreciated.

Diskriter Info Needed

Looking for info from recent employees about platform, pay, benefits, incentives, time off, etc.  Searched archives and sounded pretty good.  Good/bad appreciated.  Thanks!

Any info on Probity and Diskriter
would be appreciated.
Diskriter info wanted
I just applied for a hospital employee position with Diskriter since it sounds so great. Are they a good, reliable company to work for? Do they treat their MTs well and pay on time? Also, is their platform easy to work with and easy to get a good line count with? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Current Diskriter Info

I realize someone just asked yesterday about current info on Diskriter, but responses only addressed pay from August 2007.  Anyone care to share about current pay, ease of platform, amount of ESLs, etc.??  Thank you very much.

Any current info on Diskriter?
I'm looking on info regarding platform, pay, cost of benefits, and if I can use my mobile broadband laptop card to access their system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Diskriter editors-Would like info on working as an

Any info on Diskriter? Other companies FT with bennies?
I keep seeing jobs for home-based MTs with hospital benefits, employed by the hospital system in Florida, etc. I'd sure appreciate if anyone could provide info on this company. I've love to be in a work situation like this again, but know nothing about the company. I'm sick and tired of MQ. Need a FT situation with good benefits and MQs are so expensive and I think the out of pocket is ridiculous compared to what I've always had in the past. Thanks so much.
info on Florida hospital acct with Diskriter

Does anyone have any info on this acct with Diskriter where you are an actual hospital employee with hospital benefits??

Seeking info on Diskriter's platform; ease of use, line counts,
xx
Any recent info on MedTrans Unlimited? newest archived info is 9 months old... m

Has anything changed in 9 months? Particular worries are the invoice/pay time; one post mentioned 2 to 3 week wait and another post stated 1 week. Info from the company states pay is sent out 10 days after the last day of the billing period, but we all know what is said and what is done isn't always the same. Another concern is the platform; some mentioned it was slow and cumbersome. They have 2 platforms from what I can gather.. Are they both slow? It seemed like certain specialties were done on certain platforms, or at least that is what I got out of the archives. I really hate to jump from the frying pan to the fire so any info would be VERY much appreciated.. the good, bad, and the ugly! TIA!!

Any Axolotl employees willing to share info., platform, ESL %, etc. All info greatly appreciated. sm

Along with the platform, ESL %, pay range, lpd required, split shift or 12-24 hour window available, I would be interested in knowing your personal experience with this company, what type of relationship you have with supervisors and other coworkers, etc.  Otherwise, the all the 411.

Thanks!

Any new info on Amphion? Archive search doesn't provide new info (sm)

Run do not walk!  Are they still offering 8 cpl? Even for their difficult accounts, with tons of ESL you cannot understand.  Hard to make line count because if you're good they move you around all over the place.  QA not bad, pretty nice ladies in that department.  But I did hear recently that the one with the initials RP left and that was a blessing.  And their incentive sucks.  Benefits were always costly, but they did have a reasonable PTO.  Equipment was crap.  And the IT guys have nothing better to do than spy on you if you use their computer to look up something on the internet, and ream you!  It's like "Big Brother is watching!"  And the CEO monitors the line counts, and if you do not get your line count and you have their insurance he will terminate you.  They do not listen as to why MTs cannot get their line count either, Oh Gee do you think that having to look up patients on patient sheets might slow someone down? Especially when you have to look it up by number and not by patient name, and nothing is in order???? Diskriter may be a fit for people who only need a 2nd income, but if you need more then "pin"money, I'd look elsewhere for employment.

Diskriter
anyone know anything about Diskriter?
diskriter
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Diskriter
This is very encouraging news! I do like the recruiter that I spoke with too. She answered all my questions and that makes me feel that if she can answer my questions, hopefully the rest of the company, especially management, is good too.
Diskriter

You should ask the recruiter how many accounts are overflow, and how many accounts are re-records, and how many have census sheets you have to look up the pt name, and account number, or there's one account where you have to look up the pt under the pt number.  So if those options are a fit for you then perhaps you might be happy there, frankly I prefer my demos to populate the screen so I do not have to take the time to look up the pt in an email, because they send you computers where you cannnot have a printer and you have to constantly flip back and forth from one page to the next looking for patients, and are they still paying 8 cpl with that incentive that 9 cpl?  If I were you I would apply to Transcend, there's a lot of happy people here regardless of what you read.  They pay holiday pay 3 cpl more on holidays, Diskriter does not, they pay you a cumulative incentive, Diskriter does not, and the platform is great to work in.  And the line count is right on.  But to each it's own, frankly I would not roll out of bed for anything less than 9 cpl!  Oh, and if you can wait a month to be paid, did the recruiter happen to mention that?Depending on what shift you work, especially it if it 2nd and weekends, it's like a ghost town on holidays!  Depending on when you start it could be six weeks before you see your first paycheck.  I understand there are a couple of leads that are the leads from hell!  The downside of Transcend is the 120 day wait for benefits, and the year to start building up vacation, but I would rather take the xtras $$$!  For me they were not a fit, but they can be for others, good luck to you!

Diskriter
Get off them. I work for them and I am leaving for reasons other than business. They want simply the best, that is why they hired me. Go back to bashing MQ and get off Diskriter, a very innovative company. And hell no, I am not a recruiter, they prefer quality over quantity so get good at it or get out.
diskriter
dont waste your time. Apply at Amphion or some other reputable company that does not send the bulk of their work and their biggest accounts overseas to be done and leaves the recorded, the small accounts, the bad quality and the work that you make the least money on for the people in the US! Go to somewhere where you have a chance to make a decent living and get some decent work.
DISKRITER!!

The platform is easy to learn, paid training with decent line count for 65 char/line , and I have the best supervisor I've ever had who actually LISTENS and helps me out!  Try them out!

Try Diskriter as

I left an in-house job to work full time at home. I am an employee of the hospital, but Diskriter manages work flow, etc.   Benefits are SO much better than the MTSOs with low-cost health insurance, vision, dental, life, retirement, etc.   The benefits will vary depending on which hospital you are employed at, but generally I would think they would be still much better  and less expensive than a national.   Also, you work on only your hospital, so you just have one account.

I know Diskriter had an add on MTjobs about a week or 10 days ago.  They were hiring 15 MTs for a Florida Hospital.  Hope this helps.

Diskriter
I love Diskriter too.  You won't see many posts, they might over-hire and bust up our good thing.  They have been very, very good to me.
Diskriter
Unless your back is in need of having holes punched in it, I suggest staying very far away.
Diskriter is so sad...

Okay, lets think about just that.  If they have competent IT support, this should not be an issue.  Do they not have virus programs to protect themselves?  Do those of you working for this company not get that other services do not put this restriction on you and let you do your job without the hassle and they have no HIPAA issues?  It is their equipment, no doubt, but they lack ability to maintain equipment adequately and are always fearful of the MTs interacting.

This company is located not too far from my home and I have worked for them, both in the office and at home.  They had great potential, but it is so sad how they lack the funds, knowledge and understanding of what makes a transcription service efficient, proficient, and money making.

Diskriter
I currently work at diskriter, haven't been there long, but they have a lot of work and have been a good place to work so far. They also pay you for any time down time so I would imagine you wouldn't run out too often.
Diskriter
I left Diskriter because you could never hear anything. I was on an account that was rerecorded. The sound was awful. At that time they did not pay for down time. However, I did read somewhere, maybe here, that they got in trouble with the labor board awhile ago for something. Not sure what.

Don't know much about Webmedx, sorry.
Diskriter
Bad experience with them years ago, but I doubt that their corporate mentality has changed, nor the core group of people.  I would avoid them.
OSI or Diskriter?

I am at my wits end trying to find a company that fit. I have offers from OSi and Diskriter. I already took the physical, background check, etc for Diskriter. I really want to make an informed decision. A friend of mine worked for OSI, and she constantly complained of no work and computer problems due to their software.  I do not have much information on Diskriter, except information regarding FBI check.  Thanks for all and any opinions.

Diskriter

I have worked for both, so I can give you my honest opinion.  I left Diskriter for incredible mismanagement issues as well as poor quality dictation.  I actually worked in their office in doing QA and transcribing before going home as an MT since they are not far away.  Things never improved.

Best wishes and good luck to you.

Diskriter
Has anyone worked for Diskriter, or have any information on them?  Thanks!
Diskriter

I talked to very nice recruiter.  They offered 1.05 to 1.25 per report for radiology. Don't know about other report types.  I turned it down thinking the pay was not high enough, but now I think it looked pretty good because the recruiter said those particular radiologists read a lot of norms and short reports.  I just wasn't sure at the time.

Has anyone here ever worked for Diskriter?

Diskriter?

Anyone currently working for Diskriter? Thinking of applying and would like any and all information on them, pros and cons.

Agree with the post aboard and to add to it, they lie. you cannot trust your supervisor with concerns you have,,,,,,,,,,,,they promise to look into and never do. I am just hanging on until I finish college.
