From what I have heard, pretty first hand, hospitals with the help of companies like Dictaphone are working to get all medical records to VR.  As I said the last ER account I worked on was lost to VR and I know that many of the accounts the company I worked for has are moving in that direction, not just for ER but the acute care end of it too.  Naturally the bad dictators will be the last to convert so I think that may be the problem rather than cherry picking as other MTs feel is the reason they are getting all the crappy dictation.  At the end all I was getting was crappy dictation too.


While others may disagree with me, I do believe my experience is pretty close to accurate and probably would be not much different from that of other  MTs who have been in the business a long time.
