Forgot to add that I absolutely love ERs, especially when I had the privilege to work for Ben Taub and Hermann (Life Flight) in Houston. Now there was some interesting (and lengthy) stuff. If there's anything interesting it always comes through the ER. Back then we were still on typewriters and there weren't so many companies competing for the work, the companies were begging for MTs...experienced only. Back in those days we never ever ran out of work and most of the time were paid overtime and I don't mean time and one-half, I mean SERIOUS bonuses. Once I made close to $5000 in a 2 week period and didn't even strain to do it.
