I'm glad you get it. In California, it is acceptable to charge 25 cpl. Whether that will fly for the OP or not, I do not know. And isn't it interesting, people try to give some suggestions that will help and people will call you grammar police, etc. What really bother me (I have taught MT for years) is that the new generation seems to have learn to communicate on BlackBerrys (I have one, too) and they tnk u sld abbraviate cuz you can. What they are missing is that every piece of business correspondence counts. To suggest that they be more professional is not criticism, it is actually trying to help. But then, what the hey? Those of us who are being called grammar police actually own businesses, make above 50-60K and know how the game is played. It might be that some of these newbies could actually learn something (and we would be willing to teach) if they showed a little respect.......

You wonder how many of us are truly, really Good MT's. Well I have 30+ years too, with a few years off to work in Ambulatory and Hospital QA and a coordinator. I was a CMT for over 20 years, I taught a medical transcription class, set up the curriculum when they had none, got it approved by the State of Calif. I taught medical terminology, medical front office and computer applications. I got my teaching credential from the state of California to teach designated subjects at the adult school and community college level. Now I work as a consultant and I straighten out the messes hospitals get themselves into be it through transitioning to VR, Outsourcing or just plain backlog problems because stuff happens in life and puts departments behind. And I did it all as a single parent raising two sons alone with No help from their father. Do you still want to ask if someone is really good at their job? Posting stuff that that on the internet when you know nothing about the people you are calling out can result with egg on your face.
