Maybe YOU should do some research before you jump all over somebody. WHen a person just mentions a name, it doesn't necessarily mean a transcription company.

Why would you wait for weeks - are you new to this industry?

This is COMMON practice and I don't care how big or small the company is... Many are just advertising for clients they HOPE to get soon - many are poorly organized and/or UNDERstaffed for administrative purposes.

Make it a rule to apply for MANY jobs at once; you'll be lucky if two are hits and then you can choose the best fit for you.

Always ask up front: Do you tie payment for work done to payment received by your client?

Is this opening immediate or for the future?

If you ask the right questions up front and they don't perform, start sending more resumes ASAP.

Take it from someone who learned the hard way.

This is still a democratic country, is it not? Why is it that if people don't agree with YOU or the bandwagon cheerleaders for a company, they get bashed? I worked at TT and found it to match all of the complaints that are read on here. That doesn't mean it's not a good company - just not a good company for ME (and others, by the way). CHILL..................
And stop buying foreign cars for crying out loud. sm
Look at the 10s of thousands of workers who are being laid off from GM and Ford after giving decades of their lives.  Thanks to all you people who buy foreign cars.

You make some good points but the vast majority of MTs don't apply to your condescending e-mail.  Glad I don't work for you.  You find some poor employees in any industry, and the few bad apples in the MT business are not the reason work is being sent overseas where the work is even worse quality (but done with a smile - I give you that).  Whatever - I will just be glad when this post has moved on to another page.

I used to have excellent credit too until my husband lost his job and I had surgeries 9 months apart. There are circumstances that do cause people to lose their credit.


Maybe some bad luck should hit you and then you would understand how some of us feel!!!!

I have a good job, make good money and I always have work but your attitude is just right down horrible.   


Since you don't spend much time here, I think you should just probably stay totally away if this is the kind of attitude you bring when you do decide to be here.

I have researched anything and everything I have ever delved into thoroughly before jumping on it.  If a newbie jumps right in without researching first, it is their own dang fault.  Geez.

She was always so quick to point out everyone's faults, preaching about what you SHOULD be doing, while at the same time, doing everything wrong herself.   I believe that is why she has no friends.  People don't like to be around that.
They are not MT, but general transcription. Pay not very high. at least not as high as MT work.x

I work for a national and my deductible is $500 also per year.

You have to ask yourself why do they lose so many employees. This is not an MT oriented company. I would say that they constantly advertise because they regularly lose MTs.

Good company. Pays higher than many. Very high
Pay is always on time (early if payday is on a holiday). Good transcription software. Approachable, friendly management. Benefits okay. (Blue Cross). Also eye & dental. 401K that they also contribute to. Pretty much straight typing, not much in the way of templates. VR in place on some accounts. Currently MT has the choice of using it or not. All in all, I'm satisfied with working there.
I'm high level 4, all acute care, high ESL, many years exp. and highest QA grades...
In case you are wondering...All acute care, all specialties. I request new accounts, and yet they all run out of work...not just during usual slow periods...

My accts (10+) for the previous 12 years were all in the LA area. I consider ESL at Webmedx easy, even though my WebmedX accts are supposed to be high ESL. ALL of my STMs accounts are low on work--quite low. I've added more accounts. Not helpful if all are low in work. My supervisor at MQ was more helpful than my Webmedx STM.
High insurance costs are a national problem, not just in MT. My husband's company sm
charges us $210.00 per paycheck for him, me and our 2 children. The deductible is $500, each visit costs us $25, prescriptions are $10 for generic and $25 for everything else. It is getting crazy everywhere.

WebMedX is a good company. Decent pay for high level acute care
They have excellent account managers and a great QA dept. The platform is really quite easy with the improvements they have made, and they are constantly working to make it even better. Everything is geared to making the MT's job easier. I have been with WMX for over a year and I am quite pleased with them.

I used to laugh out loud at the VR-produced
nightly news on the TV sets at my local gym. I'd be watching it while using the treadmill, elliptical trainer or StairMaster, and would occasionally belt out a 'Bwa-ha-haaa!' at something the VR had written. Got more than a few stares from my fellow gym-goers, who probably thought I was nuts. The humor of VR sure did make my workouts go by quickly, though!

To bad we can't come on here and state our feelings or vent our frustrations without having to worry about all this. Some posts are over the line, but most are just people who want a place to talk to others in the same boat they are. I think the ones who are trying to dissect the posts to figure out who they are written by need to spend a little more time working!!!

A couple of weeks ago there were several former JLG employees posting how they were fired from doing SR and were not even offered MT positions!  I'm not trying to hide anything and I don't appreciate you insinuating I'm a liar!

It's unfortunate you aren't being paid for downtime. I was paid several times for 40 hours, when my hours fell short.

I see the packet as MQs move to finally consolidate EVERYONE onto the same plan of management so this ridiculous "but my office says and it's true" stuff can stop.
