Here's what I look for (sm)

I want to be employee status, not IC, would consider statutory employee because I don't need insurance but I really prefer to get paid leave days (otherwise I probably would not ever take a vacation and would just end up looking like that burned out tater tot that gets left in the back of the microwave).  I would like to see a shift differential for each of 3 shifts, as well as a weekend differential for those of us who are willing to regularly work Sun thru Thurs or Tues thru Sat, 2nd and 3rd shifts.  No VBC pay!!!  If you want spaces between the words, then you need to pay me for those spaces.  This is just the newest twist on short-changing MTs. I harken back to the old definition of a line, that being a 65 character line with spaces.  Platform, there are good ones and not so good ones.  I trust that a company that wants its MTs to make money for them will use a good one because to do otherwise would be counter productive.  Lastly, please no anal-retentive QA staff.  I've done QA.  I've formed and managed QA teams.  There's nothing more demoralizing for MTs than some uptight person who has their own favorite way of doing things (without any reference to back them up).  My philosophy about QA has always been to give MTs feedback about the newest terms.  Be proactive with staff so that they don't have to send a job to QA for blanks because you keep them abreast of the terminology as soon as you are aware of it.  Be aware that there sometimes IS more than one correct way to write something!

Deal breaker: The whole VBC thing!
