How is the trainer, team leader or regional mgr

Posted By: going to fix something that NTSC can't? sm on 2005-11-28
In Reply to: Have you notified....sm - Long-time Transcender

They've already said that it could be months, maybe even into next year, before all the problems can be fixed.  Why would the team leaders or trainers have answers that the technical team doesn't even have, and if they do, why haven't they fixed it for everyone??

My team leader is the best. She
keeps us informed, always available, and provides more help than any company I have ever worked for.
Are you a team leader? NM

You have a decent team leader.
Mine is not that great and is not flexible.
I followed my MedWare ER team leader
She's awesome and I have enjoyed working for her, and she started about a month ago at MedScribe (Jax, FL).  MedScribe has been good, plenty of ER work plus the pay is a little higher, plus I still have PS for a team leader.
You should report that team leader to M.L.
I'm sure that he would take care of that. They are having a hard enough time getting MTs. They certainly don't need a TL who is running them off.
If MTs could trust their team leader or the supervisors
enough to talk to them without getting fired, there would be no posts on here, but you cannot say 1 thing without getting into trouble or getting fired.  These boards are only used for venting because we have no other place to go.  Deb is a monster so don't even try to talk to her.   Team leaders are arrogant and only there to collect a paycheck, not in it to help anyone but themselves.  They think they have been elevated to the position of CEO.
Nasty team leader, nit-picky QA, sm
mounds of account specifics and company instructions and I mean 7 binders each 3 inches thick , constant busy signals dialing in to get work, slow PC-company supplied, slow tech support, impossible to make line rate. Dock you big time for errors.
hmm..be careful of your confidence among such greed... who will the team leader be?
nm
How professional..signing as KS Team Leader and posting about the ex. sheesh
sm
Too bad they got rid of Indian team leads. My US team lead is the worst.

opppss meant purple team, not red team.
Sorry, I meant the purple team.
Regional?
Are you paid through a third party who makes the direct deposit or are you paid straight from Transcend? Is the computer making errors regarding your lines or is HR finding things to dock you for? When you complain are these things taken care of?
it does seem that they are no longer regional
I really do hope that they are not selling themselves as a LOCAL company anymore. Sorry, but they can't have it both ways. The last time I heard, it took approximately 23 hours (counting changing planes, etc.) to get from NYC to Delhi.
Amherst regional office
i hope that you are not referring to the amherst office, that has to be the worse office in the northeast--let's hope that the regional office is somewhere else
I guess this means there are regional offices?
There is an ad in the Job Seeker's board. Cannot tell who exactly placed it.
No regional offices, just two totally different companies sm
MDI in Maryland and there is an MDI in Florida. MDI in Florida is owned by Transcend.

MDI in Maryland is a totally different company - good company as far as I know.
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center

Does anyone know anything about what it is like to work for Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.  Can you work remote?  How is the pay?

Sonora Regional Medical Center
This seems to be the name of the hospital Janis Reed advised.  She says the ad said weekend only.  Rather snappy reply from her via email.
I see that Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is hiring.
"Training" is on location but after training, there will be multiple excuses as to why you can't go home to work. Supervisor is NEVER there. Pay is not TOO bad, but working in-house is horrible. Just thought I would throw my opinion in and try to save the next poor soul who falls for their "promises".
Another example of the "bizarreness" is when I worked for our regional medical center
Nicholas who was clearly of Indian descent kept faxing and calling the transcription department of our hospital wanted to submit a bid to do our transcription. The manager politely declined but he continued to call EVERY day..I guess to see if she'd wear down. She then faxed them an official stop contacting us letter but it continued. Finally, she had the hospital's attorney send them a final notice in regards to legal action and they called after that. Honestly, at that point, I came home so I dont what ever become of it. I know it blew our minds. It must be a cultural thing.
Humans require a leader to guide us.
Or we can lead the pack...if we have leadership qualities recognized by our peers.

anyone see the post on job board for regional medical center, 13 cents??
nm
What did you expect when Transcend, the leader in overstaffing, bought them?

mt trainer
that's the point. no one got it. they ended up saying that the owner was too busy to do any hiring. I interviewed for it too. 2 weeks of my time for nothing.
What trainer?
Initials
Well of course the trainer is going to say

she loves Meditech, then if there is an issue it becomes your problem.

I do wish you well, but Meditech just doesn't get any better.

Well you said up above it was regarding the trainer position
and they wasted your time. Now you have a problem with the way the owner conducted the interviews? I work for this company so I don't like to see the owner knocked down.
My trainer is not so good.
I love the company, but I am not very impressed with my trainer.
Shannon T. is the trainer there
who trained me and another MT. Neither one of us worked there long; we had the same supervisor, GH. If you go with Milner and have Shannon as your supervisor, you might like working there. Shannon seemed like she'd be a good supervisor. She certainly was an excellent trainer.
Nah, the newbie had the best trainer...
including asking to work OT without recording...I have already seen it.  She is definitely a keeper!  Only those who refuse to do so are fired or made to be miserable so they leave on their own.
did anyone have to call MDI-MD trainer for their
Bayscribe training? They said if I didn't hear from them by 15 minutes after my scheduled time to call them. Its looking like I am going to have to call in about 5 minutes. Just wondered if this is common?
Is there anyone who works as a trainer? sm

I have been working as a trainer for well over a year.  I have many, many years experience in MT and QA.  I am trying to get information on what the average pay is for a trainer.  Thanks for any info!

Then you are a line leader taking what you want to type, the rest of take what your leave, Give me
Nm
Told by trainer. But you're right

I have to call again.  I'll have to get on the phone and call tomorrow morning nice and early.

The trainer didn't email you?
My trainer sent me an email letting me know that my computer would be arriving and to confirm when my training would start.

In the email, she gave me my user ID and password to log onto the computer. This is so I could set it up and make sure the internet was working properly before calling the specified number.

Maybe they don't do that with everyone? I don't know.
I am interviewing for a trainer position. What would
you ask for per hour?  I will be training all new employees on the software that the company uses.   Thanks for any input.  Yes, by the way, I have been with this company for several years but not sure what to ask for in this position.  Thanks!!!
I have been contacted by a trainer in the US already. Still unsure about this.
They said they would overnight the pedal. Still unsure if I should change jobs. Yikes! If anybody could suggest a safer bet that would be appreciated too. Thanks for your feedback!
Yes, it seems to be rather slow. The trainer said she loved it, though, sm

so I will hang there awhile longer.  Perhaps I just do not know all of the tricks.  I was told to wait 3 months before asking for any changes, so I don't want to rock the boat right off the bat.  So far, everyone has been really great to me.

Thanks for your input -- glad to know I'm not the only one who is not fond of the platform.

CMT trainer for MT course on job seeker's board?

Now they want us to give out trade secrets to our international labor partners, aka Asian MTs?  That's like training your successor before you know you are being fired.  The indignities of this profession are piling up....

I'm doing okay at MW after 2 months. Didn't have the trainer screw-up that you had. TL and QA
s
Winnie you're a great trainer
You're at Medware right? A lot of former OSI'ers have gone to Medware.
They usually give you an appointment with your trainer once your stuff has arrived. nm
s
Support very slow, had to train myself on platform. Trainer kept
p
Do they have a US team? Or
should I start looking?? They have never mentioned anything about dropping the US team, but I would bet they would do it in a heartbeat - I guess that's why they are known as heartless.
There is still a QA team.
The team leaders to the document completion.
BEST team

KS used to have people that just did that without a name.  There was a gal who did our hospital and we could not have her permanently.  What we settled for was not even close to what we wanted.  The whole idea is very midleading.

ER Team
Yes, they asked me for either a Sun-Thur or Tue-Sat for daytime hours.  Afternoon and late evenings could be Mon-Fri.
Same team
I worked for OSi for the CURRENT QA manager and most of the current team were there the entire time, except for new people who were hired as the company expanded.  Most everyone was excellent to work with - a great team atmosphere.  Working as an OSi QA is not easy, and I liken it to teaching - you do way more than you are expected to do because you LIKE to, and you get paid way less than you are worth, because you like doing what you do.  But I think that's true of any job you do that you love.
What Team Were You On
What team where you one there? I currently work for them and have had none of the trouble that you had. I am sure it all would vary from team to team.
A-Team
What about blanks? Do they count against you? What about ESLs? Are they difficult? Thanks for your info!
Red team

If you are on the red team, you have a fantastic supervisor provided she is still there.  I absolutely loved her!!! She will definitely go out of her way to make your experience as pleasant as possible.  She did for me, and she was the main reason I ended up staying.  Unpleasant note:  This is the team I had the unpleasant QA person.  Good luck again!
