D&L talks a good game.  Am frustrated running out of work with Medquist yet again!  Does anyone know if D&L is a decent company to work for?

Midwest Transcription? Anyone know of this company. Cannot access archives. TIA. nm

Just to advise, that company does not have access to MTStars
/
Whatever that company is, they absolutely do not have access to our resume bank.

I worked for a different company using Vianeta and could never access line counts. Was also told it

Check the archives - both good and bad. nm

all good if you check the archives

Lots in archives on TRS, nothing good. Don't know
anything about All-type, but I have seen them mentioned so info is in archives too.
You can check the archives, but not much good about them.
They recently changed their name but can't remember what the other name was.  They offshore, they've cut pay or restructured the pay system so you can't figure out what you're making, sound quality is not good.   I think there is plenty of work because no one stays for long.   They've been offering significant bonuses in the past, bu don't know details.
Look in the archives. Not too many good things said.

Check the archives. Not good at all.
Totally Indian-based company. All supervisors, QA, and trainers are in India. Very hard to understand. I would avoid them.
There are many good posts in archives
They seem to have a good platform and plenty of work.  I just applied myself after looking in the archives and reading the most recent posts.
Search the archives, nothing good. nm

Check the archives. Not very good.
I worked there very briefly about 3 years ago and hated every minute of it. It's an Indian company. Read the archives.
all OSI info is old in archives. Anything recent good/bad?

mostly -- are the lines an absolute bear to get; i.e., will I have to work 12 hours a day to get 1000 lines?  Or do they seem fairly fair won?

Thanks

Read the archives. Many posts, none good. nm

Tons of stuff in archives, nothing good. If you
open your post near the bottom in blue is something about related posts.  Click on it and you'll find lots of stuff to start.
search archives, couple good, mostly negative

Yep. Like other poster said, lots in the archives. 99+% good feedback
on this company. Check the archives.
AllHealth in GA - Good company, good equipment, any info about this company? (sm)

What type of work do they have?  Any op reports?  Appreciate any info.

Read the archives. Lots of stuff recently. Not good.

Seems to be good and bad in the archives. Rude & running out of work to very professional, great

Go to archives, company pg 87. Pages work
nm
Because in the archives the company rep for TransTech posted about

I saw a post in the archives signed by TransTech Medical Solutions about Heartland buying or selling a company. I just wondered if TransTech was connected to Heartland.

Read through the archives, horrible company.
The dictators are some of the worst ESLs, sound quality is horrific, the reports are so bad I had to basically retype them, flaky QA, management problems, etc.
It is an Indian run company. If you'll check the archives they
have been asked about several times the last month or so.  There has been nothing good said about them.
There was a lot of trouble with this company earlier this year - see archives -- Mediscript

How did you find out about them?

Worst company to work for. Read the archives and you'll
be hard pressed to find anything good about this company.
Indian company. If you'll search the archives lots of info
on them.
Archives doesn't mean it is old info necessarily. If you'll go to the main company page, typ
JLG in the search box, make sure the MTStars circle is checked and click on search you'll find lots of current information.  This is considered archived information but there are posts are recently as last week there.
Does anyone recommend a pretty good company that is good to work for, pay always on time and plenty
of work.  I know that is asking a lot, but just curious?
Strictly IC, good company, hard accounts, good platform.
Good pay, always on time, no direct deposit though.
Is Transcend a good company with a good platform to work on. They are advertising.
:
Webmedx hires some ICs. Good company. So sorry for your loss. Good luck!

TransTech for many reasons, good pay, stable company, good benefits
and flexible.
I have looked around the last 6 months and have found nothing better. Have turned down numerous jobs, and have finally decided to stay put. The better insurance plans were announced and even moreso than ever, I am staying put, and my paycheck is happy about that because it is getting better every day. Good luck to you.
TransTech is a good company. Debbie is the owner and a good one at that! nm

Good company, great people, good benefits.
Affordable insurance. Good luck!
I know JLG and they are a good company with a good group of people

I joined JLG about 9 month ago and I am thrilled with the experience that I have had.  Although the company has been around for 20+ years, a group of good industry veterans who know how to operate fairly to both employees and clients have joined the company in the past year.  I followed my manager from another giant company.

I have also worked on this account and it was plauged with problems from the start.  The hospital required the account to be implemented in a matter of days, there were technical issues and the hospital management staff was new and the employees were mad because transcription had been outsourced.  Personally, I won't miss this client but good luck to those that get it.

There is plenty of work at JLG and I have already been advised on my new assignments

DSG is a good company. The sound quality is good sm
but I don't understand why they are hiring. In the a.m. was have NO work. The afternoon and evenings do have more work though.
or maybe it's really a good company. Give me a break. If a company isn't talked about sm
on here, good or bad, it's probably too small to matter and does not offer benefits or anything at all.
do not allow them access..................nm
nm
Good company, with good incentive SM
pay scale, decent health plan for full-timers, lower end for other benefits, well organized and dependable, good platform, good support. Very heavy ESL, medium-sized community medical centers, relatively high SR pay rate because it takes longer overall to clean it up. However--good producers who put in a good workday make quite good money here.
No DSL access or cable either
where I live. Have satellite access, but hospital will not allow us to use this. For the past 10 years been using dial-up at 28K only, which can be frustrating at times, but I try to hang in there.

My goal is 1400 lines a day (7.5 hour shift), which I accomplish most days, but I do not have any little ones at home.

Hospital installing new web-based system soon, which they say will be much better!

I work for a large corporation with multiple smaller satellite facilities -- I work for one of the smaller facilities. Do you think we work for the same corporation?

I would encourage any experienced MT to work for a national sometime during their career. The experience and wealth of knowledge gained will last a lifetime. It takes an exceptional multi-tasker to be able to transcribe multiple accounts all in a day's work. But, DSL is required by most nationals.

Have you ever worked in a home-based setting?

If not, it takes a lot of discipline to work from home. I also encourage you to keep little ones in day care unless you can arrange to work while they sleep.

I personally am a little on the hyper side, like to move at fast pace and would rather be up working around the house. Warm sunny days are my worst -- love to be outdoors! So, I work in 2- to 4-hour blocks.

Wishing you the very best!
Any info on AMZ access?
They posted on the job boards.  Anyone have any info?
Can MT's access old reports?
.
You still have access to history, sm
If you received the memo on Thursday, read the second to last paragraph. You still have access via a different route. Try it.
If you "grant" them access, they can
My experience has been once you let them connect remotely to your computer, they can do whatever they want while they're in there...which is why I don't leave my desk while they're on there- at least in theory, you can see what they're doing. I worked for a company once that did not like their people to use certain programs, so if tech support was on there for one thing, they kinda looked around. In my case, they saw AOL running down at the bottom and promptly disconnected it and uninstalled it. It actually might be harder to know if they're doing a snapshot, but at least you should know exactly what they're looking at.
Need 2 PC, both with internet access
of course that is prob. DSL monthly fees. See there ad
Control I tells me I have no right to access (sm)
Isn't it that way for all?  I'm new at this.
This is a dumb question but how do I access..sm
For the Record? I have never head of it and when I Googled it nothing came up. I want to check the ads there. Thanks.
Internet access while traveling
Just to add to the information regarding wireless Internet capabilities at several different hotels, it might benefit you to also check out places such as Panera Bread stores.  They are located throughout the country and many of their stores also offer WI-FI free of charge.  Also, you may want to consider going online and checking out WI-FI Hotspots.  Amazing what kinds of places have wireless these days!  (If you're an RV'er, you've really got it made!)  Good luck!
How easy is it to access old reports and
how far back do they go.
