MDI recruiting

I applied for a position with MDI, received an email the next day stating that the recruiter would like to interview me and wanted to know the best time to call over the next few days.  I replied to the email and several days went by without a phone call or email from them.  So I sent another email asking if they were still interested in me.  I received an email that stated interviews had been pushed back until the weekend and I would receive a call then.  It's is now Monday and still have not received a phone call or email.  Is the the way MDI does business?  If so, I want no part of it.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

What are the requirements of a being a medical transcription recruiter ? How many years of acutual MT is required ?  Do you need any MT experience at all ?
One of them did recruiting for another
company while she was *sick* or *without internet* for our company. What a joke and nobody in management was the wiser.
I believe this is a recruiting company...

Years ago, I worked for a company here in Georgia by the same name.  They hired for physician and dentist's offices at that time, different types of medical fields/specialties.  They only had in-house positions at that time, but I guess they have changed since most transcription is done via the internet now.  I also had a girlfriend who was a dental assistant who worked with them.  She stayed pretty busy and never had any complaints either.  Hope this helps.

Supervisor/Recruiting

Are there ever any supervisory/recruiter positions

posted here?

They all will be. Do they even bother recruiting in US
xx
No need for a Recruiting Board here.

It was a guy recruiting wasn't it?

Perhaps recruiting has been offshored?

SharpHearing Recruiting
I heard SharpHearing Technologies is hiring newbies for home based medical transcription positions. I only have their email address sharphearing@gmail.com Please provide more details here if available.
Hard to believe they are recruiting. The newest sm
radiology MTs just ran out of work because they lost a major account.  We also lost a couple of other major acute care accounts.  They don't tell us what is going on, and it is really a slap in the face to see them recruiting.
Here they are, recruiting again, when we are running out of work AGAIN. sm
What is wrong with these people at Webmedx?
I thought they were just a recruiting firm. nm

Recruiting expectation question

I've read quite a few posts about recruiting lately, and I have a question.

I have three teens, myself, and my husband in the house. When any of us have applied for a job we don't expect a response if we don't meet the employers needs. From applications to Starbuck's, to Abercrombie, to the Department of Energy, to private research and develoment firms, to major and minor MTSOs, none of us feel slighted if our responses aren't responded to EVER, much less immediately. So, I'm having trouble understanding the sense of entitlement that some MTs seem to have regarding what they are owed from recruiters. Have these people never applied for any other jobs? Do the same people complain if the corner Quik-Mart doesn't respond to them promptly regarding a cashier position? Is there something wrong with companies simply deciding not to hire on the MTSOs timeline, or hiring ever? I just don't get the sense of they owe me that seems to run through the thought processes.

My husband makes well over $100,000 a year, my kids make well under $3000 a year, and none of them (nor me) expect a response if we don't fit the needs of the company. So, what gives with  these MTs, and why is a response demanded by them in this industry, but seemingly no other?

They are not talking about KS. There is no "he" in recruiting there. nm
I don't think that there are any males at all except accounting.
Nothing on their website about MT recruiting. Keep us posted! :) nm

Oh goody another TT recruiting hoopla!!
This is what I saw right around Xmas about these amex checks along with other positive yeays and hoorays for this company. Thought it all sounded too good to be true but I was optimistic Long story short, went to work for them based on this BS, it was too good to be true.
Been there, done that - this is management or recruiting talking.. nm

Has anyone used a recruiting company to find a job?
If so, how did that go? I need a new MT job (been out of it for about a year) and am having little luck finding anything reputable. I have over 5 years experience and seem to be coming to a lot of dead ends. I am getting seriously frustrated!
I went through a recruiting company, thinking they

would have leads on companies who might not want to post an ad for some reason and that I could find something paying better, etc.   They represented 2 companies I think, one of which I had already tested for, been offered a position, and rejected it.  They knew this but wanted me to go through the process again.  I did and they offere me the same thing that I was offered before and I again turned down the position and then never heard from the recruiting company again.  It was the same company mentioned by someone else.

I recommend posting your resume on all the free job boards and also applying to any company that meets your needs, as far as employee/IC and hours, etc.

I have posted my resume before and got probably a dozen responses, most of which I weeded out right away due to low offers.  I tested for a few and was offered positions with all of them and even took one of the offers, but that company eventually went out of business.  I posted my resume again and months went by with not even 1 offer, and then several months later I got a few offers.  You just never know what the response will be.

Anyone wonder why Transcend is always hiring and recruiting? Also Webmedx? Do they sm
have trouble keeping people?
didn't mean to stir up anything - how do you get into recruiting and what are the requirments an

how do you find jobs ?  Do not see a lot of postings for recruiters.  Thanks.

Anyone know which company Denise Williams is recruiting for?

for the Editor position?

Not informed Professional MT Recruiting Service
As a student in a business law class and working on my AA in business administration, I can tell you this strange poster by Professional MT Recruiting Services is not well informed and smells of a troublemaker. Recently my law professor and another professor who is also a vice- president of a bank and deals with employees both discussed this topic a few months back. The current temperament and laws in most state make it very, very difficult for a former employer to say anything bad about a former employee because it makes that former employer open to big law suits. One would have to have committed a serious crime such as major theft from a company, and been convicted for a former employer to say anything negative about a former employee. In fact, both professors tell us that it is not worth the time or trouble to say negative things about a former employee for fear of law suits. Our law professor is a practicing attorney and a CPA who runs his own business, and if he is telling us he would not take the chance of saying something bad about a former employee who was less than an idea candidate, I am going to go with their expert advice. Both professors tell us it is better to be neutral and keep law suits at bay.
Transcend false recruiting/low work
I was hired two weeks ago to do Cardiology, but hardly any Cardiology. I am stuck voice-editing the leftover clinic notes!! Potential Transcend employees, beware!! Recruiters will say anything to snare you.
Isn't that job post from doctor recruiting work and not MTs? nm

MD IT recruiting methods are time consuming sm

I took a test that took an hour.  A recruiter contacted me to interview on the phone.  Another 35 minutes.  Then I was told that I would take another specialty test.  Then after that the people at a specific MD IT location would like to talk to me.  I spent one hour and 35 minutes.  I cannot see spending more time than that without being able to ask some dang questions like what the pay is... recruiter did not know, only that it was by the audio hour!!!???  No info about scheduling.

Are we so desperate that we will give a company 2 hours of our time without knowing what is in it for the slave?

This is crap!

I wasn't rude. All I said was that if I was trying to profit from recruiting people, I would
have left contact information. I didn't get called out and was never rude. How is stating FACTS rude? I'm also not offended because your logic makes no sense to me. I speak the truth. But it doesn't matter. If we have anything negative or positive to say about ANY company whatsoever, we're either recruiters or disgruntled ex-employees. I didn't get called out because there was nothing to call out on. Please, take your senseless accusations elsewhere. The board administrators know exactly who I am, so they can back me up when I say that I'm not a recruiter. I'm (GASP!) a happy employee FINALLY after ages of searching for the right company!!!!
Does TransHealth have a sign-on bonus? It seems like there are people recruiting for them on these
boards.  Are they really that great to work for?  I have heard mixed reports.
happy jolly dancing feet and faces recruiting sickening!!!!
blah!
I do not work for them, but I have done recruiting for companies of their type of work
It is A LOT different than regular medical transcription. The pay is a little less (unless you are proficient and fast), but the work is harder in that there are multiple people speaking and the nature of the medical advisory boards are quite detailed. I receive quite a few resumes of medical transcriptionists wanting to do this type of work, but when you test them, it is a whole different ballgame.

Good luck and let me know how you do on the test!
