If it's that big, don't they keep dictating? Why would you be out of work?
I might be going on the same account with them. It is new for them. They are doing about 20% of the work right now, going up to 100% as they phase out the old company is what I was told. This is to happen over the next three weeks. I decided to go for it. It cannot be worse than no work at all and if it works out well for me, then I am ahead. Good luck to everyone. We need it in this business now. Who would have thought that we would be in this situation after they hyped it up that we were in such high demand. I blame the AAMT or whoever they are now.
Can anyone tell me how to change the dictating physician SM

in the gray field on the Spheris TWS screen. For example, if I need to change a dictating physician from a PA to the attending, the field is gray and I can't change those fields.

Thanks  for the help.

...or when a nurse is dictating for doctor...

and he doesn't know how to pause dictation.  Last week I listened to four 30 minute dictations with only about 100 lines to show for it!  Finally the office taught him how to use the system!  Rookies ARGHHH!

Yeah, not too many ESL's dictating, but plenty of ESL's transcribing!
.
Scenario: No work. Docs not dictating. You are an employee. What does that do to your

If you are doing no work, well, any formula to extrapolate your "down" rate of pay is still going to equal zip.

And if you go on vacation?  what does that do to your "down" rate of pay?  If you have no sick leave and you can't type, what does that do to you "down" rate of pay?

If you have no PTO yet and you are down for weather, computer problems, etc. if you are an employee, are you kicked to SE?  What happens to your insurance?

These are all questions you need to get hard answers to and get answers that are palatable.  And get them in writing.

systems

I think there is one called Meditech. That might be the one you heard as Med Check? I'm not familiar with it myself, but I think I've seen that on here before. Hope this helps some.

Voice Systems
What can anybody tell me about this company?  Good, bad?  TIA.
Voice systems
I would check this company out completely. I worked for this people just under a different company name about 4 years ago. The company filed bankrupcy and then reopened under Voice systems. Cindy and Lex have a reputation of being very unprofessional and they will bully an employee as well as a client. Just check them out thoroughly, they could have changed. I am trying to remember the name of the company, but I cannot off the top of my head. I will look into old tax records and see if I can find. They were based out of Albany GA at that time as well.
Voice Systems
I would not recommend Voice Systems. I had bad experience with them!!!
No. I have 2 personal systems --
one desktop and one laptop. I can do whatever I want with those systems.
Not necessarily - there are 2 systems....sm
Transcend's and eScription used by MDI-Florida.
Voice Systems

Voice Systems of Ga.
Don't do it!!!!! Very unprofessional.
Voice Systems of GA
I don't think you would be happy with them.  Not very professional.
Actually it is TransMed Systems...
??Any info, pay sounded good.
Difference in systems
I would be interested in knowing the difference between EScription and Dictaphone.  I am on Dictaphone and it just does not recognize the simplest of words.  Very frustrating.
Medict Systems
I am looking to work for Medict Systems of Florida. Does anyone have any feedback? Any information would be appreciated.
TransMed Systems Inc
Does anyone know anything about this company?  I couldn't find out much, but sounds pretty good.  THANKS!
TransMed Systems, Inc.
If this is a company out of Fountain Hills, Arizona RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!  The owner, Paul, is as unscrupulous as anyone can get, and plays loose and fast with pay and benefits.  It's a revolving door type of operation because no one in their right mind stays after they figure out what he is.  Check with the Better Business Bureau in Arizona and I'm sure he's on it---kinda like the Ten Most Wanted Rotten Business Owners in the USA!
Voice Systems
There is an ad on mt.com for an orthopedic Transcriptionist by C. Adams of Voice Systems in FLORIDA.  I did a search in MT Stars and there were some very bad things about Voice Systems in GEORGIA.  This seems to be the same company.  I am glad I searched here before I applied!  I doubt if they have changed much.
Voice Systems, LLC
Hi anyone and everyone.  Please give me any info on Voice Systems, LLC.  Searched but did not get much.  I can't afford to type and not get paid in this economy.  To all the ladies and gents out there who type and know what I mean, please school me on this company, supposed to start this weekend.  Thanks
Voice Systems, LLC
I can only find a post from over a year ago on them.  Do any of you have any scoop on the company?
Voice Systems?
I know that some issues a few years back.  Does anyone know any current info on this company, I think out of Georgia?  Thanks for feedback.
One more question about systems

Sorry guys, but I have one more question to ask.  I have worked in PACS, InScribe and some ExText.  I spoke with someone today that has two accounts and she named the systems working from and I asked twice but very poor phone connection and really did not want to ask again.  I was trying to search more information on them but I cannot find anything.  It sounded like the person said Med Check and Aschute or something like that.  Anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Do NOT work for Voice Systems!

Do a search of these boards.   Nothing good ever said about them.  Bad company to work for.  The owners berate you, paychecks bounce, can't keep anybody.  Bad people to work for.  I would highly recommend you look somewhere else.

Is this the Voice Systems in Georgia? nm

Multiple systems, several platforms, they
furnish software for all.
Voice Systems (this is a company)

Medict Systems in Florida?
Any info on this company from someone who has worked there or knows someone who has?
CBAY SYSTEMS - a warning

I'm not a negative person, and I have received high marks with every company I've worked for - including CBay. My opinion on most companies is that one is good for some and not for others. But my experience with CBay was so appalling, that I want to share a word of warning.

CBay has good benefits and they pay for downtime, but the positives stop there and are totally overwhelmed by negatives. The team I was a part of waited for weeks to start our accounts, and we were expected to be patient. Only if you made a point of the fact that you had to leave your other employment to be ready to work for CBay did you receive any compensation. Imagine not being paid for several weeks! Be patient? But that's what happened. Some MTs were paid, and some were not.

And this really paints a picture of the overall working environment. If you were in the know, you could get by a little better than some. For instance, when a virus wiped out the system for about a day, a supervisor said we needed to move our schedules around to compensate. But if you were smart and talked with personel, you learned this was not necessary at all. Downtime should have been paid - period. Some MTs got that downtime and some did not.

If you are a good MT and pride yourself in your work, you might think you would never get fired, but nothing could be further from the truth. They are very quick to fire people.

Although my group's part in CBay was very small compared to how enormous the company is, all three supervisors were dishonest in some way, whether it dealt with downtime pay or something else. A couple of us who were better at transcription were often told privileged information and instructed to not tell anyone. Meanwhile, other girls would ask for this information, and the supervisor would say, I don't know. An organization with that type of game playing and dishonesty at the supervisory level should not be on anyone's list as a great place to work.

There is much more I could say, but my hope is to say enough to protect others from making the terrible mistake I did. Sweatshop does not even begin to describe how CBay degrades its MTs. They should truly be ashamed.

Super Global Systems
Maybe it's Superior Global Systems.  I work for them and it's a great company!!
Global Information Systems

I was just wondering if anyone had heard of this company.  I believe they are located in Texas, I did locate their website, but it had very little information on it as far as contacts etc although I did notice they had offices apparently in the United States and India. Only reason I am asking was I was offered a position with them, did some work for them last night and the supposed QA supervisor when I contacted told me that since these were test files( i.e., files that had already been transcribed but I was doing them to get used to the platform) that I would not be compensated for the files that I had done

Just wondered too, if anyone else with other companies had run into a similar situation,

Thanks

Global Information Systems
Does anyone have any valuable information on this company? I've gone back and forth over whether I should accept a job with them. I'm not seeing much feedback on GIS on the message boards.
Global Info Systems
Does anybody work for GIS? I just got hired and I am having problems getting set up or having anyone return my calls on a timely basis. Anybody have a similar experience?

MedScribe Information Systems

Has anyone had issues with pay/line counts at MedScribe?  My line count that I see documented in their system does not match up what I get paid for.

What is Rice Business Systems?

Does anyone know anything about Rice Business Systems? Did they recently acquire Diskriter accounts, including the offices around the country? I did a search because I was interested in the Florida Employee status job and kept coming up with Rice Business Systems. They are also looking for HIM people.

Does anyone know if there has been a change in the way Disriter hires, etc.  Or has this always been a Rice Business Systems company? Any information would be great, because I was hired for the hospital as employee but then it suddenly fell through with no reason and I was offered a diskriter job.  I wonder if it has to do with this Rice business thing.  Thanks in advance for any information.

MedScribe Information Systems in FL....

Does anyone work there as an IC??  I see on their web page that they hire ICs but most of the ads say employee status.  Any information would be great!

Also, apparently there is a company called MedScribe Services.  This one is in Ohio.  Anyone know the website for this one?

Transcription technology Systems

Does anyone know about this company?  They claim to be flexible and pay for spaces on 65-character line.  Sounds pretty good so far.  Any employees of TTS out there.  Thanks for any information.

Techi help in dictation systems for vet?
I have a daughter vet in another state that would like me to transcribe her work.  Is there is way to do this via digital and/or call-in dictation system without going through a MTSO?  Any suggestions? I'd sure love to be able to do that for her!
For Global Info Systems MTs....sm

Beware and have something to fall back on.  Seems like things are changing.  VR seems to be about to take over soon while the actual MT work will be going to their India office.

Of course, Indians own this company.  There is any any work and when there IS work, it is us asking not to use Expanders because the system is TRAINING the voice for CERTAIN dictatorS, mostly the very good dictators, and when there is actual transcription work, the dictators are the MOST AWFUL THINGS i Have ever heard.

Digital Transcription Systems...
located in Oklahoma.  Could find nothing on archives.  Is that a good or bad thing?  Anyway, if you have any info on this company, please share.  Thanks.

Trying out the VR systems sold to clients..sm
with false promises, demanding from MTs to achieve

600 lines per hour with a pay of 3 cpl,

does this not strike you as being used as a 'guinea p*g'?

Equal to the Indian MTs?
