Seeking info on Diskriter's platform; ease of use, line counts,
xx
I agree. Big factors- ease of dictators, length of reports, platform. NM
.
How does the software compare? MQ has great
software. In fact, I have been offered jobs with other companies, but their software is so bad that I have stayed with MQ. Still looking though.
Yes, SPi does use this platform....it's a great platform, but not worth working for SPi. nm

I actually think DQS is a great platform, used by

Can't remember the third one.  I have worked on several different platforms and I think DQS is really easy once you get the hang of it, convenient with the ability to pull doctor's names into the report from the database, the ability to leave blanks and at the end let the audio jump immediately back to where the blanks are.  Other great features, too.

Platform is great, but (sm)
do read the contract carefully and know exactly what you'll be paid for when you *negotiate* your pay rate.
They have a great platform, but
line rates are not that great, so the below poster is right, negotiate for the best line rate you can get.  It takes longer to get your lines in when you are not paid for spaces, but if you can use your Expander a lot, that will help.  I am happy at Cymed.
It is a great platform.

Is a great platform. SM
Where ever you heard this from is wrong. Line counts are accurate.
Great platform
Take the time and learn every little trick and tip, when you go into your line count screen (alt x) you can just click on the shortcuts you are not using enough to make you more productive and it gives you a great tutorial on how to implement them, it took me a few weeks but then it all became natural and I'm doing an average of 600-800 lph depending on the dictators.

My platform is so great can just
sit here and let the pedal go, like taking candy from a baby, unbelievably easy. I make 98-99% every 3 months on QA so I guess mine is just as good if not better than most here. Management not complaining at all.
I would love to set your mind at ease.
Medware does have a company in India.  That is no secret.  We have a lot of accounts in the US as well.  I read through the many notations above and I just have to tell you,  if you would like to apply for a job with us you can do that by going straight to the web site or you can contact me directly at the above email address.  The previous poster should really check out what is being posted.  He/she can't even get the name right, this company is owned by the Flannery's not the Flannagan's.  Someone was speaking about trusting someone.  I would not trust many or any of the posters out at this site just for the plain fact that no one will use their real names.  I could not pass this one up.  If anyone is looking for a great job then please do not hesitate to contact us.  We have a great recruiting team that would love to explain anything and everything to you.  Our company in India has created lots of great positions for MTs here in the US.  Don't always be turned off to quickly by offshore or nondomestic.  There are many times that it actually can be to your benefit.  I would be happy to speak to anyone who really does want a better place to work.  I have been a Transcriptionist for 30 years and I believe I can explain anything and everything about our company and would take great pleasure in doing that for you!   Have a great evening.
Platform great...promises not met
I disagree..The platform EXText is great and I do it for another company now. However, promises were not met as I referred 2 MTs to Medware and did not receive referral money promised by the recruiter. Also, too many accounts to have to switch from one to another because there is never enough work, as I stated in my last post. I would not recommend MedWare. Good luck to you in your search. :)
I love you. Thanks for setting my mind at ease.
Thank you so much.  You don't know how much your post has helped during this difficult time in my life.
Great people..AWFUL platform!!!nm
s
They use Dictaphone ExText. It's a really great platform.

Great platform, horrible company
NM
The current Emdat platform is great

and nothing like the previous poster wrote about.  It is up to each client how much or how little information is plugged into the demographics and how much must be manually entered.  The ONLY things I have to enter for three clients are: Patient name (if not only entered, say for a future admission), MR# if not provided, doctor name, chose the right template for the work type, and any CCs to send.  None of those functions require the convulted hoops mentioned elsewhere.

I am making more money with Emdat than I do using Bayscribe, and I use the same ShortHand dictionaries with both.  I would recommend Emdat to anyone interested.

Staff is great-no work and too many platform issues.
nm
Webmedex is a great company but their platform is terrible.
That is the reason I left. Too many screens to enter simple imformation and too slow switching between screens. Platform is such a big part of our production.
I did QA, didn't find their platform great. I've seen
a recent post where they pay 8 cpl.  Sound quality and dictators horrible and no way is 8 cpl enough.   They have constant tunover.
Platform is easy to use, and the people are great to work with. sm
I only work there part-time, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.  Good luck on whatever you decide.
Yes, had that same problem. Acct was great, but platform sucked.nm
nm
Transhealth is very organized, great benefits..horrible platform
Maybe it was just me but i never made it through training. It certainly could have been a lot easier than having to open up 3-4 programs to get going. I found it to be time-consuming and in a production-based atmosphere, this did not cut it. On the other hand, maybe others think the program is wonderful, but I sure did not. I have used Dictaphone EXText and that is way easier.
The fact is, if you think the sound quality and platform at Transcend are great, you have not had
many other experiences with "sophisticated" equipment or companies.  Heavens, their idea of big cutting-edge technology is being able to have a drop down list to pick from dictators, though that was an incomplete mess.  Defend it all you want, but they are not cutting edge at all.  Definitely a step back in time for lots of us, and who wants to move backwards, slower platforms, working off paper lists, manually filling in demos, and horrible sound quality, for LESS money? No thanks!
No complaints at all. Platform is super MT friendly. Great QA department.
Very happy at Medware.
great friendly people, IC work, pay so-so (9-1/2 cpl), clumsy platform. nm
x
I work on a great platform, have good QA support and make

a lot more than 8 cpl.  I even have GREAT benefits, which are more than affordable.  There are good companies out there that pays for experience!!!!

I currently work at JLG and love it. Great, user friendly platform.
They leave you alone to type.  Pay on time, never late.  Pretty well organized and good communication.  And they do not offshore!  I be sticking around.   Cubicles

Similar. ExText is Word based. I prefer it to Meditech for ease of use.nm
s
I love it here; easy platform, plenty of work, great communication
@@@
Been there 9 months and LOVE it!!! Plenty of work, good platform, great staff.
I finally found a home.
Easy platform, assigned accounts, always plenty of work. Great OM and boss. nm

you cannot compare
NY with PA. I just left PA at the end of July to move to the Bay Area, South Bay to be exact. It may be more pricy here, but I feel that I have a better quality of life here versus PA. I lived about 20 minutes from Philly.
YOU MIGHT COMPARE IT TO ... sm
walking in a parade, behind a horse ... and picking up the poop after the horse, but earning HALF of what the horse earns, because, after all, YOU didn't generate the poop, but get to clean it up.
I don't think you can compare a sm
vacation schedule wtih the death of a parent!

I don't know what has happened in this society, but folks don't give a rats rear about other folks. Personally I think it all comes back at you.
Or maybe some people have nothing to compare to, so they

think they're getting a good deal.  Some people know nothing except what they have experienced.  They don't know there's better out there.  Some people allow abuse to continue for years because they think it's "normal".  Personally, I've never been disgruntled.  I've always scored high on tests and been placed on higher paying accounts.  However, I don't put up with B.S.  I'm going to warn people about the lousy companies out there, but I also put in a good word for the good ones.

Anyone gone from MQ to Webmedx and how does it compare? (sm)

Was hoping the line counts might be more like MQ was before DocQscribe.  Any info appreciated.

How does it compare to ChartScript? nm
nm
MQ and DSG both use DQS - how do the lines compare? (sm)
I know I have seen posts about sound issues with DSG, but MQ has their own little set of issues too.  Just wondering if anyone has found they make lines easier with one place or the other, if they perhaps count lines differently one place or the other?
HOW CAN YOU COMPARE BC WITH PREGNANCY - SM
And this is from someone who has been through both - pregnancy and now status post BC x6 years and counting.  The big difference is I CHOSE to have the pregnancy - but I DIDN'T choose the BC - it chose me.  I don't see how a pregnancy is a disability meriting 4 weeks paid vacation while the rest of us get crap - I was even told I didn't qualify for PTO since I didn't make the required line count.
I am confused. You can't compare the reports....
unless you turn them in to MQ, then see what line count you get from them compared to the line count you received on the old platform, so these reports would have to be 'standards' or whatever you call them...an operation or something that is the same except for 'fill in the blanks'. I would not work to just count the characters in 'Word'. When that is done, the count is accurate. It sounds like some of the old platforms WERE paying for inflated lines or paying lots extra for headers and footers and demo info, which DQS does not. I am not saying DQS is cheating us...technically it is not... but it sounds like the old platforms paid more lucratively. If this does not make any sense, it is because I HAVE NOT YET HAD MY COFFEE!!!!!!!!WAHHHHHHHH !!
How does ExText compare with DocQscribe?sm
I have used DocQScribe for the last six years...how will I like ExText? I liked DQS and haven't seen anything yet to beat it as for ease of use.
Compare per minute with per line (sm)
I work for Scribes/Nightingale and I was told that per minute divided by 10 = per line rate. Any thoughts as to the accuracy of this comparison?
How do you compare this to Sylcount IV Gold. nm

Anyone able to compare Webmedx to Keystrokes? sm
Does anyone have experience with both Webmedx and Keystrokes?  Is either better than the other?  Looking for part-time position, specifically radiology.  Thanks for any info.
Do you have their benefits, and if so, how do they compare to other companies. Thanks
nm
I'll be happy to to compare them for you. (sm)
Webmedx has a very good platform with many transcription-friendly features you will absolutely adore. I would say it's better than DQS now, plus WMX is honest. I have never once felt I was being cheated on lines. I always felt I was with DQS. I left MQ for WMX a couple of years ago. I immediately raised my income more than $600 a month. I have never once regretted my decision. You won't either.
It is hard to just compare wages....sm
Because there are so many other variables involved - like how many characters make up a line? What percentage of the dictators are ESL? Do you get paid for headings and spaces? All of these (and more!) could end up affecting your cpl (cents per line - if you get paid that way). You could end up making more, earning less cpl, if the dictator is really easy to understand and you get paid for spaces, headings, etc. Make sure you check these out!
Anyone switch from MQ to Spheris and how does it compare? (sm)

Was told their program is similar to DQS and that 50-60% of their employees make the bonuses based on number of lines.  They weren't exactly breaking the bank with their line rate offer but stated they make it up in bonuses.

There have to be some people who will share their experiences either good or bad and not just post short negative comments.  Specifics please.  Thanks.

E-mail if you aren't comfortable posting and opening yourself up for bashing.

I had MediTechn experience, looking to compare it
to DocQScribe.
