That's the big secret? I saw some of that Oprah and got bored.
I have always been grateful for what I have, and no better things are coming my way, I can assure you. Maybe it's some sort of brainwash...with hidden subliminal messages. LOL
The Secret
I've heard a lot about "The Secret" and Oprah's show today is all about it if anyone's interested.  It's about the laws of attraction and how to attract more abundance and positives into your life.  This sounds interesting.
the secret
I was offered The Secret by special price from another site that I use daily and purchased the dvd. It is very well done and very informative. Please see it.
The Secret DVD
Is the DVD available in stores?
THE SECRET
Have you seen the movie The Secret? If you haven't it is a very good movie to watch. Not only for marriage, but for life. Good luck.
THE SECRET = YOU
It is not just being grateful for what you have; it is your outlook on life. The power of positive thinking. If you think you can't do something or you aren't happy etc. you have already set your limitations. You really have to watch the movie to understand what they are teaching you. Something so simple, yet many people lose sight of it.

You typed "I have always been grateful for what I have, and no better things are coming my way, I can assure you." You have spoken that into existence and nothing better will come your way. (Not trying to be rude, just making a point).

I am grateful for my husband, my kids being healthy and my job as an MT working for a wonderful company, and I look forward to many more happy years.

Sorry, what is the secret to
start with? Don’t know this.
Can you keep a secret like this?
Attorneys kept secret for 26 years that their client committed a murder. An innocent man was charged/tried/convicted for the murder.

Secret Shopper
Email me at reginahare1@hotmail.com and I can give you some sites.
My secret is staying out of the sun

and wearing a hat or slathering on a crapload of sunscreen!  I got totally fried when I worked for a nursery (plants) back in the early 1990's and my ears burnt so bad they they actually got a tad deformed around the edges!  I love outdoors time but I'll be darned if the sun is gonna be the cause of my demise!

Besides, I'm a superfreak when it comes to medical stuff.  I love researching all sorts of medical crap and that nasty IUD just stuck in my head from my days in Anatomy and Physiology 101.

I also have a fetish for bugs too and someday, before I die, I'd love to play entomologist or something queer like that.

secret shopper
I do this in my spare time, and I am with Shop-N-Chek. I have not had any problems with them. If I want to do a shop, I do one. If I don't, I don't. You do an initial survey and they match you up with potential shops in your area. You can even do them on vacation if you have the zip code for where you are going. The website is shopnchek.com.
secret shopping
Do you make pretty good money doing this?  Is it worth taking the time or do you just do it for fun?  I went to the website you listed and am seriously considering joining...more info would be very much appreciated...
Shshshsh! That's my secret.
:o}
Principal Secret
anyone tried this skin care product?  How'd you like it?  Thinking about ordering, but not sure.  Thanks for feedback...
Principal Secret
I have been using Principal Secret products for over 7 years. I quit the membership though because I simply wasn't using it enough to justify needing a supply shipped to me when they felt it was time, but rather just purchase it when I need it. Like the other poster stated, it is still cheaper than high-end cosmetics at high-end department stores. Principal Secret has a "bottom of the jar" guarantee also, so you can order straight from them, try the product, use it "all" and return it for a full refund if you do not like the product. Having sensative skin and not being able to use any form of foundation, I love their tinted moisturizer (very much lighter in color than chart), but I only use it in the wintertime due to being outside and getting tanned in the summer. I, however, also use all their skin cleanser products and the serum, as stated above, is absolutely wonderful. I do not like the eye cream though, it seems to irritate my skin. After using the tinted moisturizer in the winter, I follow it with the tinted loose powder by Mary Kay Products for a matted finish. Mary Kay loose powder does not irritate my skin nor does it clog my pores.
Do You Have a Secret Ingredient?

Do you have a recipe that you add or substitute an ingredient to make it special?

When I make pecan pies I sub half the amount of the corn syrup with Kahlua. I'm going to switch it up this year and sub it with Godiva liqueur for a chocolate flavor. I also add a couple of tablespoons of brandy to my pumpkin pies.

Secret ingredient sm

My family does not eat meat stuffing, so I use Pepperidge Farm preseasoned bread stuffing but instead of water per directions. I use either orange juice, cranberry juice, or both. I used to use chicken broth but after dieting, I found I could taste the grease. I also throw in a tiny bit of sliced apple, cranberry and raisin, not overpowering, just a hint, then of course, I chop up an onion and some celery. We have nut allergies, otherwise I would add some walnuts. People said they would kill for my stuffing. I mix it up and cook it in a separate casserole dish in the oven, cover with foil for about 15 min., then lift the foil and let brown a little, and butter, oh yes, plenty of butter, it doesn't taste greasy. My one vice is butter, usually holidays.

keeping a secret
taking addiction too seriously is a mistake. Keeping it a dirty little secret is a mistake. Hiding "Pa" in the basement because he is an embarrassment is a mistake. There is NOTHING shameful about being addicted to a substance. I hardly think there is one person on this board who does not know someone on antidepressants or takes them and that is considered healthy? But medicating depression with vodka is shameful?

The best disinfectant is light.
The secret: JESUS. It's so odd that everything they said on that show
as a Christian, was Christianity and they didn't even know it. The only huge difference is that they believe this huge "secret" is about yourself when we believe it's about Jesus. Instead of looking inward to do all of those things, we look outward and ask God to do those things for us and He never fails to do them. It's really no secret.
I'm a secret fan, too, but I got pulled away from the end. I have a feeling what's
s
You're right., some things should not be kept secret.
Tell your daughter that you have to inform the other parent, then do it. It's not fair to the other parent to keep this secret. And, don't try to be a friend to your child, just be a parent, which doesn't always mean doing what they want.
Principal Secret/Reclaim

Hello ladies.  Does anyone use this product by Victoria Principal?   Any comments will be appreciated.  Thank you.

The recipe is a secret - sort of!
It's funny. I can make the cole slaw, but there's not really a recipe. And the sour cream, mayo thing was not her usual. She was probably trying to stretch out the mayo. That's my cousin's house, and his mom never had enough mayo on hand! LOL The same with the wine vinegar. Grandmom made sort of a face over it. She used plain white vinegar at her house. The cabbage was always sliced paper thin, by hand. Then onion was grated on one of those plane graters, so that the onion turned pretty much into juice. Then added a splash of vinegar, salt and pepper and stirred it up. Then, in a coffee mug, she sprinkled a bit of sugar on the bottom of the cup, filled it about halfway with mayo, and then thinned that with whole milk or cream until it was the consistency of salad dressing. Then mixed it all together. And not wanting to waste a drop, she always took some of the cabbage, put it into the mug and tried to clean out every drop of the dressing. One coffee mug of this concoction was enough for half a head of cabbage. Her cole slaw leaned more to the sour side with vinegar. It wasn't a sweet cole slaw, at all. She added grated carrots on special occasions, like T-giving, which is when the video was taken.

She was barely 5-feet tall, and shrunk to well under that as she got older. My mother was her firstborn child, and weighed nearly 10 pounds and breech, born at home. Amazing. My Grandmom was one strong lady!
My secret to happiness what something my grandma
told me.

My grandparents were opposites. I asked her on their 50th wedding anniversary how they had been able to stay together so long. She told me this:

You can sacrifice things in your life for the person you love and vice versa. But, if the person loves you and is worth loving, they will not require it of you.
Oh, please...anyone who keeps secrets, secret passwords...
email accounts, etc, shouldn't be trusted. It's not snooping for crying out loud. Any one who doesn't share with their spouse must be ashamed of something or have something to hide. Get rid of him already and move on to a HEALTHY relationship!
No fan of either her or Oprah but having said that
I was so surprised when Rachael took on that type of show. She has several shows on Food NW and Oprah probably would have liked to have found her (as in Dr. Phil) but not so, too big a person in her own right before. Books, several shows on Food, well known before Oprah. Oprah played a point in putting her on that show, probably produces the newer show. I understand you are not really into Rachael but she was a talent and had already made it big longgggggggg before Oprah.
Oprah? What would anything she would say
?
No, no Oprah
Never said there was "nothing" either. It's just not what people think it is. Fairy tales are for children and heII was invented by poets, Dante to be specific.

BOO!!
Try Oprah.com
I missed what your issues are, but Oprah has a lot of great resources and seminar-type things on her site.

I know what you are saying. When it comes down to it, we are all alone. Even those who really care can only do so much.

I have been having a rough time pretty much for a couple of years. Sometimes you wonder what it's all about. Don't give up though, you just never know when something might change for the good!

Need secret Santa ideas for male.....

I would think Dr. Phil & Oprah would have
covered these topics. They might even have that sort of information on their websites. Your mother might believe them over these men. Or undoubtedly Reader's Digest. If one of my parents were acting like this I'd seriously think they were getting something like Alzheimers, losing their good judgement.
it's now cuz Oprah is sponsoring her....BIG $$ now

She was also on Oprah yesterday
singing with Kelly Clarkson and Justin Limberlake, promoting her Duets with Rebba, I think that is what it is called, album. Think I will buy it. She is great. Also loved the sitcom, especially her with her ex and Barbara Jean. Very funny.
Just saw a commercial for Oprah about how
to talk to your kids about divorce. I think it said it will be on next Wednesday.
Oprah's BIG GIVE sm

I love that show.  I think it is a great reality show that helps others.  If you saw it last week do you think Oprah will help the family that was promised money for funeral costs and the guy did not come through for the family.  I think so.

Oprah or Ellen?

Oprah today

Was that a total tearjerker today on her show with the puppy mills?  I just recently found out about puppy mills as I was trying to adopt a cocker spaniel from a rescue that deals with cockers.  I had to fill out a long application.  They checked a lot of references, called my previous vet, previous groomer, etc. Then they had to do a home visit. The lady that did the home visit told me some very sad stories about a puppy mill where they went in at night and tried to rescue some dogs away from the place.  She rescued one that only weighed 5 pounds that they used to breed. How sick are these places.  She said that the Amish- are very well known for this. She told me of a story that a man through a alive dog in a Goodwill bin because he was done with the breeding process and thank God the next day a worker heard the poor thing crying.  I rescued 2 cockers and could not be happier.  I do not know where they came from but they are so loving. I think the government needs to get involved and shut these places down. They are breeding thousands of dogs and meanwhile we are killing hundreds a day all over the US. Does that make any sense? Please no one buy from a PET STORE.  If you want a pet go to PETFINDER.COM and look up the breed, you want and you will see pictures of all kinds in all the US

Oprah's show
I did watch it today...I thought I would have problems as I cannot watch most shows that show how animals are abused.  I thought it was very informative and discrete.  I will NEVER buy from a pet shop again although I got my buddy from a pet shop..went in for a hamster and came out with a 3 week old kitten in a cage by himself.  He used the litter box right away with no problems.  He is now 14 years old and is still not able to groom himself properly.  He goes against his hair and I just laugh and tell him how handsome he is - even though his hair is sticking up with spit all over.  He was not with his mom to learn.  He has other problems as being very dependent and sucking on my shirt...again his mom was not there and I am his mom.  He constantly "kneads" on me and I tell him it is Saturday and he does not have to make the donuts.  All kidding aside, it is very sad how these babies are taken away from their mom so soon.  It amazes me how money is SO important yet the babies and moms are put aside as money makers.  I love my Sim but he has a lot a problems probably due to being taken away from his mom so soon.  The next cat or dog I get will DEFINITELY be from a shelter, and a dog or cat that will be hard to place.  Please everybody, the pups and kittens are easy to place, give a home to the ones who are blind, deaf, are HIV, etc., they are so lovable....seems they know they have problems and will give you the love as you give them!!  ADOPT THE UNADOPTABLE!!!
Well Oprah loved it! I want to see it.
Maybe tomorrow.
Oprah probably does not have to listen to all the
Indian speakers I have to day after day.
Google "The Secret" and you'll see. It's about how to get what you want out of life, bus

Has anyone ever dealt with a legit Secret Shopper company?
I've often thought of doing this, but wonder if there are any legit ones or if they are all scams.
Victoria's Secret models are sooo young!
Does anyone else get Victoria's Secret catalogs, and do you think the models are too young? I just came in from getting my mail, and a new catalog arrived with "New Dream Angels" on the cover. The model is a girl, in my opinion. If that young lady is older than 14 or maybe 16 at the most, I'd be surprised. I'm 46, and I don't expect VS to use middle-aged or elderly models, but it would be nice if they were at least adults!

I saw that on Oprah...so simple yet powerful!...
Especially when that married couple were at a stand still and then watched The Secret. Now, they have passion again for each other and are so happy. Something as simple as being grateful for what you have, then better things will come. I want to check that movie out.
I watched it. Did you just watch Oprah, or...sm

Did you order the 'The Secret' DVD?  I've been thinking about ordering it.  What have you been doing that's fun?  Care to share?

I watched it on Oprah and then bought the CD

It's an interesting CD and I really like the theory behind it, which has been around forever if you think about it. What I didn't like was all the emphasis on material things, wealth, money, etc.  To me it seemed that was the focus of the CD whereas on the show the panel focused on many other types of issues besides just getting wealthy.

Definately my choice would be Oprah!
; )
Oprah actually seems very "normal" for a billionaire,

Of course she has flaws and maybe some annoying personality traits, but it's all about intention imo, and I believe she is intending to change this world for the better, and she is succeeding!  Everyone has a right to their opinion, but before throwing stones at such a great humanitarian, why not take a look at yourself and ask what you've done to better the world lately.  I'm sure Oprah could name a few things off the top of her head!

She has stated numerous times that she has no interest in running for any type of political office, so don't worry your pretty little heads about it!  If she ever ran I think she would have a good shot just because she lives her life pretty openly and doesn't seem to have anything to hide (she might even give too much personal info on her show!), and she seems to have a good heart and really wants to help those less fortunate.  So many politicians scare me because they seem corrupt, and many are into shady business dealings.  Many seem to be in it just for the money, which she already has plenty of! -end pro-Oprah rant  (kam)
