Good way to put it :-) I say nice guy!

What a nice guy! Good luck,

nm

nice to know some traditons(the good ones) never die.
more people should be like you. If there is not enough now - the pendulum usually swings back with the next generation or two...so by aeasure means...continue on! I did the same with mine (20 now) and so did other parents of her age group. She is truly appreciated for it.

Everything nice...as in Sugar and Spice and...! good luck!
nm
Hey - that's great!! Nice to hear some good news (nm)

What is a good lipstick brand that stays nice and doesnt come off on everything. nm
:
You darn bet you have a right to ask sm
and furthermore, if she is interested in her husband, SHE can go back to him! If the child was being hurt and you want to take responsibility, okay. Otherwise there is foster care when parents who are unwilling/unable to take care of them...or would rather smoke, drink, inject than be responsible parents.
Darn! How are we supposed to
be able to notice if we get cancer with never-ending night sweats from hormonal changes??

Need to keep those darn cats off my furniture
I am not having them declawed, so not to worry. Am getting new furniture and need desperately to find something that really works. Have had 2 leather sofas and a fabric chair and they really have messed up the chair (thank goodness not all that expensive) and the leather has some damage as well but not to a terrible extreme. The new furniture is all fabric. I have read citrus fruit near the legs, think something that is like double sided tape the paws stick to, therefore making it uncomfortable for them along with electrical pad to slightly shock if they step on. I have furry friendly things around for them to claw so have already done that. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. My furniture is supposed to arrive the 6th of next month.
Oh darn, Bear just ate Santa
right off the tree. I'm not actually a big fan of Santa decorations, but this was one of a set of cute homemade-looking, brightly painted flat ornaments that looked like they were made from bread dough or something. I don't know exactly what they were made of, but it doesn't look like he swallowed much. He's such a puppy.
Darn, early in the morning, should have been
part of her hair, not head.
Darn, missed this show.
x
Gosh, darn he filed the plate down,
not the sores.
Darn, how do you post a clickable link? nm
nm
Darn! I dont know why that link failed....
Try this one. If that fails, look for 'Roomba Cat' on YouTube. Hysterical!

How About "I'm not a jerk."

Then, it turns out he is the biggest jerk you've been out with so far??

I miss being married.  Dating just sucks!

What a jerk! sm
You give yourself a treat with a new do, pedicure, manicure, and get right back out there.

Be active in your community, join a hobby group, volunteer, whatever... you will meet someone and it will be someone that is WORTH YOUR ATTENTION! This jerk is not worth getting upset over.

Ugly is on the inside and he is F-UGLY! Good thing you won't be seeing him again.
Jerk.
That's all I have to say about that.
Got new digital camera, resistent at first and now those darn batteries
am having loads of fun taking my furkid's pictures. The question I have is my batteries have already played out after a very short period of time. What do most of you do regarding keeping a supply of batteries around. Do you have ways to prolong the life, do you buy loads at a time, do you buy in bulk? Thanks.
Or Chandler's ex-girlfriend! GAG! Definitely a new gig

My son and his girlfriend got their Chihuahua sm
that way. Her cousin moved to California and she asked her to keep Chewy and another cousin to keep Lea. Well, Chewy was apparently the more difficult poochie of the two with absolutely no discipline in the past and probably a little abuse as well since he was hand shy, but now is just the most lovable little stinker around. Let me tell you, he could show his teeth and growl and was not afraid of anything. I had no doubt at all he could and would bite. All he needed was just a little discipline and now he is great. Well, the cousin called Saturday and she said she was pregnant and could only take one dog back and she really didn't want Chewy so now he is a member of my son's house. He's quite comfortable here with my dogs too and his post is in front of the full view door where he can stretch in the sun and look outside. Begs like the big boys too!
Nip Tuck - CT's girlfriend
Feel free to email me. I'm a huge fan. Love, love, love the show and especially Julian McMahon. Pretty graphic but great stories. I'm sure you'll love the first two seasons. I just started watching last year, but I've been watching a lot of the first two seasons on You Tube and a few other sites.

Our local target had the first three seasons for $14.99 so I got myself an early Christmas present.
Your father might have a girlfriend but
he is a lonely man and probably missing your mother and his family. Annoyed? That would all have to do with how much I loved my father, I guess.
Your dad having a girlfriend means nothing really
Your dad is in love with your mom. I don't know who initiated the divorce, but it seems very obvious your dad is still in love with your mom. Having a girlfriend is just to keep him from feeling so alone, but she obviously doesn't fill that void he has, which is his family and wanting that life he had. YOU are his family, you and your mom were the life he had; divorce doesn't make those feelings go away. I'm sure he does come by to see what your mom is doing or if she is at home but no doubt he just misses that closeness with you as well.

He wants to still know he has a family..... his girlfriend certainly isn't filling that void.
Jerk doctor
Even with the shot you can still get chickenpox. Hopefully he gets through it okay without any complications. *hugs*
My stepfather is a big jerk too (sm)
When I go visit my family we stay in a hotel and visit back and forth with them. That way I don't care if I feel unwelcome and I still get to see my mother and other relatives, and if he starts acting jerky, I have somewhere else to go.
The store is being a jerk.
They said that they could have charged me 1000 and are being nice. I'm talking with the probation officer today to see what he knows about this.
he sounds like a jerk to me
Sounds like he should've married Bree VanDecamp-Hodge from Desperate Housewives--a fictional character!

I wouldn't stick around to find out what's he doing on the road. I would, however, check that cell phone bill, etc., to see what he's doing, then prepare yourself. If you don't stay with him (not sure why you'd want to), just get all your paperwork ready (keep it anywhere but in that house), and start thinking about YOUR future. Not being mean, just being honest. Life isn't sugar-coated, and from what I read, neither is he.

Gook luck to ya.
What a jerk, Crankybeach!
Well, I'm sure that's a decision (marrying him) she'll live to regret. If he did it once......
Darn! I meant to say FORMER not fellow! I moved a few years back sm
but would LOVE to visit. My dad was stationed at Griffis AFB in Rome, outside of Utica..they moved and I stayed and attended college in Syracuse with a few friends. After a few years I finally left the area. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in that area anymore!!! So sad....I would LOVE to take my family there one day and show them the Adirondacks, etc. I actually have step-grandparents in VT who owned a 100+ acre farm they just sold for a million dollars....Now they have a small log cabin in the mountains but they are in FL most of the year! I actually live just outside of Atlanta now....I remember being snowed in the dorms for 2 days during a bad winter storm. You are right! The snow is like NO ONE ANYWHERE can even imagine..LOL Nice to meet you!
Ex's new girlfriend calling my home

My ex-husband has a new girlfriend.  She was introduced to my kids a few months ago, and they have only met her twice.

Yesterday was my son's birthday, and she called my home to wish him a happy birthday.   This is, by the way, the 4th girlfriend he has introduced to the kids in the last 2 years.  She doesn't even live in the same state as my ex.

Also, not one single member of ex's family acknowledged my son's birthday in any way, and my ex was only concerned about my son talking with his new girlfriend.

Am I wrong to be upset about this?  I don't really care if he introduces people to the kids on his own time with them, but I feel like his girlfriends should not be calling MY home.  I also feel like he should be encouraging people that my son actually knows and loves (like my ex's parents) to call him on his birthday.

Am I wrong to be upset about this or should I just keep my mouth shut about it?  I feel like my personal space has been entered, and I really want to call her and tell her not to call my home.

What do you think?

Why doesn't he break up with his girlfriend?
??
I wonder that as well. Recently gave my son's ex-girlfriend
a very expensive baby gift for her new little one (b/4 she was even born). I mean it cost several hundred dollars. Never heard a word, not even a phone call. Then she sent me an invite to her wedding soon after...i respectfully declined. Guess she had a stamp for that, but not for a thank you note.
My girlfriend went to school here in Atlanta
with Gladys Knight at Archer High.
This reminds me of a girlfriend of mine
who had some young age, gained some weight and really dressed always like her granny. One day picking the kids up from school someone remarked about why cute grandchildren she had! People without thinking can say some pretty stinging remarks sometimes, such as asking overweight lady when is she due!! I always when seeing a pretty baby go for the generic so I don't guess wrong and say pretty girl when it's a boy, just say what a cute little baby. The parent usually tells me girl or male or at least gives me a hint so I will know.
girlfriend named Shirley. What's not to like?
x
Jerk doctor, I agree

That was inconsiderate and unprofessional of the doctor's office not to call and remind you of the appointment, as 6 month appointments in advance are hard to remember.  And the doctor was a jerk in treating you like that by being sarcastic.

It's weird, doctors raise a fit if our transcription isn't perfect and turn around and scold you about how you raise your kid.

I have had scarlet fever as a child as well as chickenpox and I'm still here and healthy so don't despair.  Husbands just don't understand, just b/c we're at home all day doesn't mean we're not working.  Hang in there.

What is a 'suck jerk'? Am I missing something?
.
happy gilmore, all of me, and the JERK
x
Hang in there girlfriend. If you feel the trust
is there, then believe in it. Truely hope it works out for you. I have seen amazing turn-arounds in marriages. It can work.
I think what a passive/aggressive manipulative jerk!.
x
Hubby's friend is a jerk - period!

nm

"selfish jerk", as you call him, AGREED to help, DESPITE his plans.
nm
Don't be a jerk. Most of us were lucky enough to be born into English speaking families.

What a nice response by a nice mom
What a gracious, well-adjusted response to a rude, obviously maladjusted poster--Hard to imagine someone with such an empty life and such a petty spirit that they would take the time to post criticism about a kid's feet! (Some people really have major issues, LOL!)
Nice to know I'm not alone ...
my son is 20, and is finally taking his road test in 2 weeks, and even at his age I'm scared to death. Have been riding back & forth with him to college, lately I've been reading a book while he drives to be sure he isn't depending on me to watch out for things for him.

He has been learning on and off for years, one minute he wants his license, the next he couldn't care less. But I guess it's finally time now. And I do feel he is much more mature at 20 than he was at 16, but for most kids it's hard to get them to wait.
I'm not as nice as you, but
I recently tried to say something really nice to a person at church I admired, and who had just had surgery and was finally back at church. I said something about missing him and caring about him and he seemed offended. Everybody seems to love my husband, though he doesn't go very often, but they seem annoyed with me. Not sure what I did either.
