Encourage him

To try soccer - it's great exercise and even though it is a team sport, individual effort and talent count too. Maybe if he played on a team for a year, he would change his mind. He's only 10 years old - he's going to change his mind about a lot of things.

If he really is an individualist, he will have to find other things, like tennis, where the individual excels, or learn to play chess.

Otherwise, he'll just have to mope around - he'll find something to do - kids are creative if they are allowed to be. Just guide that creativity into something creative.

You sound like a great mom.

Good for you. I would encourage anyone to get out of this
You won't find yourself out-sourced.
I would not encourage him to resort to name calling.
That just brings him down to their level. My son loved tennis and was not very athletic in "team sports". His friends were really cool about this. They come to all his matches and cheer him on and he in turn goes to their soccer matches. Just depends on how they are raised I guess.
I agree, maybe seeing a familiar name as a donor will encourage others. NM
