A young mother in a vegetable state; nothing on the EEG.  They harvested her baby though through C-section because she was about 8 1/2 months' pregnant.  It was a Spanish family and the entire hall was filled with her family.  After the harvest, they let her go.... It made me very sad!  I was only in my 20s anyway and that kind of stuff just set me back; the reality of it.

I also helped clean up after a lady passed away on a procedure table.  She had a lot of problems, but she had a massive MI on the table and died.  We didn't even have the correct phone numbers for her daughters.  The nurse that had brought her to the procedure area was no distraught and crying uncontrollably (she was fresh out of nursing school) and we had to tend to her as well.  That was a weird day!
