About my Savior
the things that this poster said isn't her made up version of truth.  It is the truth because it is what God, our maker, said.  It is His truth.  Jesus is the way to joy, peace, love and eternal salvation.  It will all come out in the wash!!!!!!
Oh, well THAT makes it so, huh?! Look, CHRIST is
I don't hate Santa. But this business of "thank God for Santa" is utter sacrilege.

I'm tired of hearing how Santa is what keeps everything good and the hope alive. BULL.

Christ. Remember that name. Christ.

All of you who are ga-ga over the commercialization business of Christmas -- that is nauseating, it is sacrilegious and it flies in the face of God.

Pathetic.
You mean believe in the divinity of Christ, right?
People of many faiths and none believe that Jesus existed; however, only Christians believe he was divine. As an aside, a number of the founding father were deists, not Christians.
True Anon, but Christ is being removed out of everything and that isn't right either.
t
In my opinion, and as a Christian and Christ follower, you should be
upset that Christmas is termed "offensive" to a lot of people and that so many other religions want to use the birth of our Savior to "take time off work," "exchange gifts," "cook elaborate meals," and the like, YET, they don't want to use the term CHRISTmas when shopping, etc.

If people really wanted to stand by their convictions, I like what my husband has to say: Offer those who don't believe in Christmas the opportunity to go to WORK on those days instead of enjoying the time with their families on that special day since they seems so "offended" by the term Christmas.

Christmas is what it is. As Christians we shouldn't get into heated debate about it, but stand by your convictions that it is wrong to be "inclusive" or say Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings! The bottom line is that this time of year is special and celebrated because of one thing: The Birth of Jesus. Get mad. That's the truth. If other religions want to start their own holiday then make up a reason and go for it. I won't be offended if I go into a mall or store and they begin shouting or saying "Happy To Be An American Day!" Good for them. Just don't ride on the backs of the birth of our Lord and then try to take the CHRIST out of CHRISTmas!
We need Jesus
n/a
Not everyone needs/wants jesus nm
x
Actually Jesus did say something about it
because Jesus is God and God is Jesus and the Holy Spirit is God and Jesus and Jesus and God are the Holy Spirit

:-D

How's that for confusing?

The Bible would not have survived to this day if God didn't agree with it. I said this in another post:

If someone wrote a book about what you "said" and it wasn't really what you said, wouldn't you do everything in your power to get rid of it? Now, if you had God's power, it'd be pretty easy to get rid of right?

Check out this page. It is a shortened version of the book by Josh McDowell I mentioned.

About Jesus, God, and Santa
If you truly believe in God, I am wondering if you feel your children will lose faith once they realize you have been spoofing about Santa. ?

Happy Birthday Jesus... nm

The secret: JESUS. It's so odd that everything they said on that show
as a Christian, was Christianity and they didn't even know it. The only huge difference is that they believe this huge "secret" is about yourself when we believe it's about Jesus. Instead of looking inward to do all of those things, we look outward and ask God to do those things for us and He never fails to do them. It's really no secret.
Jesus himself taught us not to judge others - let he who is without sin (sm)
cast the first stone.  None of us has any right to say anything about how anyone else is living.  We need to take care of the log in our own eye.... remember?
Talking with a nonChristian about Jesus
I have been reading this and I just wanted to offer a few thoughts:

1) No, you cannot go up to someone and say "YOU ARE A SINNER! REPENT" and expect a positive reaction. I think that God will give you opportunities to talk to people. When those opportunities arise, you ask for their permission to speak with them about it. If they say no, you drop it. I believe that God will open the hearts of those who are ready to hear it. If they do give you permission, you don't say "YOU are a sinner because I saw YOU lying to so and so, I heard that YOU were sleeping with so and so and you're not married, etc." At the moment of witnessing to someone, you better believe Satan is standing right there waiting for you to slip up so he can turn it against you. I think a better thing would be to say "Well God tells us in the Bible that WE are ALL sinners no matter what we do. That is why we need Jesus.

2) Back you're claims up with Bible verses. That way no one thinks you are saying this in you're own words. Some good Scripture for witnessing:

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

John 3:3 - "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

These are just some to get you started. If the person you are talking to has opened their heart to hearing you, I doubt they won't want to hear the verses.

3) If you get a positive reaction, don't leave them to figure out the rest by themselves. Support them, invite them to church, introduced them to other loving Christians.

Look, our nation is at war, but we are in a much bigger war. Satan is wreaking havoc in our nation and for to long we have sat by and let him. But just because the situation is dire does not mean we can just stand on our soap boxes and start proclaiming out loud that everyone is a sinner and they must all repent now. It requires personal connections with people. All throughout the Bible you read about Jesus having a personal connection. He spoke to people one on one. He allowed them to discuss the issue with Him, to question Him. One of his disciples even doubted Him! I know many of us, myself included, probably questioned all the way up to the aisle before we gave our lives over to Him. It is our nature to do so.

As much as we all pray for a revival in this nation and in our churches, I doubt it will happen. Any of you who have studied and believe in the Bible know the time is drawing near. It is also said that every nation will turn against us before He comes. It's time to come together and be ready to support one another, because times are going to get tough. If you are sitting on the fence, you better choose a side, because Satan owns that fence.

Call me crazy, call me fanatical. But I KNOW that my Lord is the living Christ, and I know that he will come back, and I am much more concerned about what He thinks about me then what YOU think about me! :)

True Christians love everyone. We just hate sin. I hate that I sin everyday. But I thank God that I can ask for forgiveness and He gives it. All this mess about "oh you Christians hate gay people, hate abortion supporters, hate blacks, etc" is simply not true. I have friends who are gay. I love them just as much as I love my Christian brothers and sisters. I just don't love the sin. Abortion is a sin. And I'm not sure why you say we hate black people unless you're saying it's because we don't vote for Obama, but black is just another color and Jesus doesn't pay attention to color, therefore neither should we, and I believe most of us don't. The ones that do are sinning and will have to ask for forgiveness.

If anyone is seriously interested in discussing this or just wants to talk, please email me. If you just want to be hateful and bash, please, just save it.
Jesus and God would *embrace* sinners, not avoid them--sm
We are ALL sinners. No one is perfect, no not one, according to the Bible. No one is saying you have to associate with them, but if God can forgive them of their sins, why can't you? HE will judge them when the time comes. It is not up to you to determine when and if that happens. God bless you.
Well Jews don't believe Jesus was the son of God, so who says they're not correct?

Giving birth at 70?

A 70-year-old woman from India claims she has become the world's oldest new mother.

Rajo Devi and her husband Bala Ram had wanted a child in all their 50 years together.

She claims to have given birth to a baby girl at the end of November after having IVF treatment. Her husband is 72.

Your birth place

Have you moved or been back to the place (town) you were born? Has is changed drastically or is it pretty much the same?

I was just looking a pictures online of mine and it hasn't changed all that much.

Were you the one who just gave birth?
xxxx
gave birth later
I was 29 with the first and 38 with the second with no birth defects
There most certainly WAS birth control back then--sm
it was called ABSTINANCE.
Celebrating the birth of my first grandchild, sm
born Friday afternoon at 12:37 p.m. They are coming home today, I am heading to their house to help out, my daughter tore a lot during delivery, is sore, so I want to do whatever I can, and enjoy the baby, BTW, a girl, 7 pounds, 15 ounces. Yikes, it's official, I really am getting old.
birth control pills
There are enough hormones in birth control pills to make you have a period, even if you are in menopause.

But menopause is not a disease and it most definitely is not a mental disease.

I plan on spoiling myself during this special time. To me, it will be just as magical as before it started and I will be just as happy to see it go, but I am certainly not sick or crazy because my hormones are rockin.
birth control pills
I am so thrilled to see that you think that there is nothing mental about menopause!! All the power to you!!
I personally know how "mental" PMS was and am very thankful for an OB/GYN who agrees that the safest way to combat the mood altering affects of menopause is for me to stay on Depo until I am at least 50 and then if I have any symptoms, I will go right back on it.
I do not intend to suffer any more than I have to. I have enjoyed 13+ years of no PMS thank you very much!! Oh and my MIL went through menopause about 12 years ago and still has hot flashes and nightsweats as does a DA so I am not sure when the symptoms all go away, but I will do whatever possible to avoid the "mental" ones anyway!!!!
Woman Gives Birth to 8 = Entertainment...sm

Like one poster said, because the human body is just not designed to carry this number of babies, these little ones will most likely suffer  a lifetime of congenital defects or illness.  Also,  I'm sure anyone here who has ever brought  home a baby (whether delivered or adopted), can attest to the physical, emotional, mental, and/or financial strains often associated with parenthood. Mother-infant bonding is vital part of normal human development.  I don't see how these babies will have the opportunity to experience this on an individual basis.  It's very sad that no one (mother or doctor) took their overall health and welfare into consideration.  After being deprived of even a healthy pregnancy, their overall start in life is going to be a very rough one, if they even live.   To exploit this situation in a reality show for the sake of entertainment truly sickens me.

In a country where endangering a person's life is illegal, anyone involved in a case like this should be prosecuted, IMO.  I would rank this woman's doctor right up there with Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon.

why not cut off the ears at birth to prevent
not circumcising can be reversed, if the boy/man so chooses. Having had a friend working in a gay porn store, hehe, there is a consensus among men that circumcised men miss out...
Sorry, not my year of birth? Why are you angry?
NM
The government will pay for birth control..
go to a planned parenthood. Very very cheap. There really is no excuse for 7 kids and no job for either parent. Join the military, get a job, like you said, at Wendy's or Wal-Mart or something. I am not against a hand up, but I am very much against a hand out.
she died of sepsis. May have something to do with the birth in the Bahamas. sm
She may have developed an infection and it turned into sepsis. I knew a girl once who had a miscarriage, developed sepsis, and almost died 6 months later. She was weak (she may have attributed the severe depression to her weakness from the death of her son), and this just reminded me of that gal I knew. She (the girl I knew) finally went to the doctor and they immediately wheeled her to a room and began IV antibiotics (she, too had developed extremely high fevers), and the surgeon said that had she not come to see a doctor within 24 hours she would have died. And this was MONTHS after the miscarriage....So, just a theory. The doctor on CNN also had this theory - maternal something. I can't remember the diagnosis....
Has anyone tried the Mirena birth control device or anything like it? sm

Having lots or problems with the pill and looking for new options. Thanks

No birth control pills when I had the abortions,
now how does that date me? The forms before the pills just not that good. When the BCP first came on the market, you were supposed to be married in order to obtain it. Facts that younger people would not even know now probably. Much easier now for younger people.
abstinance is the best form of birth control there is--sm
as opposed to killing babies. JMO. Besides coffee is bitter smelling and so is this. Wake up to life!
Unborn babies can't talk until they are given birth
gaa-gaa or a coo until probably 3-4 months.  They sleep most of the time right after birth, so when do we ask and receive an answer?
FYI.. I gave birth to a child with hydrocephalus
She'll turn 7 in August, is in first grade, loving it, developing "normally." We had a tough go at first with surgeries, a shunt infection, and finally got her home from the hospital at 6 weeks old, and then had an abrupt shunt failure when she was 5 with emergency surgery. Other than that, you wouldn't know that she has medical issues at all. She is absolutely the light of my life. I can't imagine having snuffed out this little light before it even had a chance to shine.
Abstinence is not Birth Control, it is SAFE SEX.
Abstinence is truly the only SAFE SEX....but it is NOT considered birth control........
Yes it is...no sex...no preggo...hence birth control. ummmm. nm

Birth records are public but are listed under
child's name - not parents - so not sure you could find out this way.
Someone posted a video of birth on youtube!

This is the same mare from last night and it's showing THE EVENT.  Very cool indeed for anyone who wants to watch!

Anything you think you can avoid by home schooling, not getting birth control, etc
for your children, talking incessantly about all the no-nos associated with premarital sex, etc will more than likely fall on deaf ears when it comes to children. I did live in a really big city and regardless of small or large, the girls are maturing much earlier and a lot involved in sex earlier than we as parents would like to believe. You can give a child talk after talk but restrictions, talking, home schooling, etc only goes so far with growing kids. You cannot protect your kids like you would really like to.
I gave birth to twins, and I have to say they were not born the same minute.

News flash: NO birth control is 100% effective.

Maybe she was on birth control. Who knows?  The Spears' do not seem like intelligent people to me, so maybe she wasn't smart enough to be on birth control, but remember that even the pill is only 99% effective when taken perfectly, and I imagine most women forget a pill every now and then, which lowers its effectiveness even more.  I hope and pray my kids don't have children at a young age, but if they do I will accept their children with open arms and try to be the best grandma I can be.  Much of life is about making the best of a bad situation.  Not everything is picket fences and roses.
