Please look into ADD

Your e-mail brought tears to my eyes when the ADD was brought up. You could have been describing my son when he was in 8th grade. He also got an F in a "gimme" class. Anyway, apparently it is a little more difficult to diagnose ADD once kids reach their teens, but we knew we had to exhaust all possibilities. Other side of the story, he barely tested as possible ADD, but with everything that we talked about with the psychologist, they did diagnose him as ADD. He was started on medication and two years later, he is doing FANTASTIC. He said he doesn't even know who that kid was two years ago.
