YOUR SON

I have two children who were the same way, a son and a daughter. They both have ADHD. It was noticed in my son at birth....I had a C-section, and they brought him to me stating they could not handle him in the nursery. Both my son and daughter quit school. They are very bright people. My son has always been in trouble (nothing bad). He is 30 now and still has trouble staying with a job, as he gets bored with it. My daughter is the one who keeps the checking account and does the bills. Her husband would be lost without her. She should have been an attorney. She is the nightmare of her husband's job, because if he is shorted hours or money, she is up there in a minute, and they know when they see her to get the books out (including the check book).

There is hope for ADHD (including me) people. I don't know what to say except do all that you can and then realize that he is an individual who has a free agency to decide what he wants to do in life, and he has to accept the consequences that go along with it. I still worry about my son, but I accept him as is.
