My husband was recently started on Adderall at the age of 39. He has been seeing a counselor and the counselor told him of 14 symptoms you have to have 8 to be diagnosed. HOWEVER, my husband had like 6 or 7. So she considered him to be "borderline," and suggested he start the medication. I would have him evaluted for it if nothing else just to rule it out. Don't let it go into adulthood this way.
