Romey, did you ever find a fix for your chair?

This is how much of a freak I am....it has been driving nuts that 1.) a chair of that caliber would break like that, and 2.) Wondering what, if anything, you found to fix it.  I would be having a you-know-what fit.  Those suckers aren't cheap!  Did you ever try that super puddy stuff folks were talking about?

Romey's Chair Glue
I found the name of the glue I saw at the car show. It glue everything. It is called Rescue Industrial Bond Adhesive and they have a website at:

www.RescueGlue.com

The site is having some problems. I tried to email you the phone #, but it wouldn't go through. Email me if you want it. Hope your chair is already fixed though.
Romey, what kind of chair do you have? I need a new one. nm

Romey, would you know how I could
acquire these?  Is there a website or store?  I think it could save him some work and worth looking into.  Any info you have on these would be great.  Thanks so much.
Ouch. Yes, Romey is so right. They actually are
not getting declawed as vets would like us to think - its a big $$ maker for vets - but removing their bones - like taking our fingers off halfway at the 2nd or 3rd joint. I declawed 2 cats about 25 years ago - totally ignorant of the reality of it - and I have NEVER forgiven myself. And one of the cats - 2 brothers - got out accidentally and lost his life because he could not climb a tree or anything and get away from a neighbor's dog. Please reconsider. I have 2 male cats now - just over 1 year, and they do absolutely nothing damaging - one is fixed, one is not. We just have several scratch posts and a kitty condo, and lots of little toys. Can you hang in there and try just a bit more?
Thanks for the info Romey.
I will definitely check it out.    Yes, we love our cat, but it's just the scratching that is a little cumbersome.  We did try a spray from Petco, but she seemed to act really strange after she scratched where it was sprayed, so hubby was afraid it was making her sick.  She would sleep a lot and stagger around the house.
Romey, are you also known as Heather?

Romey! How the heck are ya?!

Ham was in the cam all day today...it's about 45 degrees out and she has been out there all day is turning BRIGHT pink!  I'm actually worried she's going to burn, but she insists on lying out there and soaking in the rays.  Can't say I blame her one bit.  If I could, I'd be moving this 'puter thing outside and doing my work out there today!  It was 10 degrees out there this morning and overnight and we have had nothing but snow and ice for ages it seems...such a welcome sight that sunshine is!

Well, after a week in the Mirra chair, I sat in this Aeron and wow--what a difference.  I actually like it better than the Mirra!  The seat is bigger, and with a caboose as big as mine, that makes a huge difference.  This is a well-used demo model though and it kinda tips to the left, but I think if I am gonna spring the bucks, I'm gonna do it on this style.  My husband now has the Mirra chair for a week and as soon as he sat in that one he said, "Oh yuck...can I have that other one back now?"

I haven't talked to the rep guy yet..just got his voicemail, but when he shows up next week to take these chairs back I will most definitely ask that question for you, as I'd like to know the answer too!

Glad your friend enjoyed seeing piggy.  Just WAIT until mud season (which hopefully is only a few more weeks away)...she will be out there all the time and in her absolute glory!  Her favorite game is to tip over the water trough and make more mud...that's when you see me, all wild haired and disheveled, running out there to turn it upright and refill it with H20.  It usually goes badly because she dumps it as it's filling and I can't do squatola about it.  I may be big, but she's waaaay bigger and I think if we were to get into a fight, well, she'd win hooves down.

Thank you, Romey. Forwarded url to my SIL in N. Calif. sm
She and her daughter have a couple horses and are crazy about them.  I'm sure she'll help in whatever way she can and let others know as well.
Romey, how touching the video, I just
loved Sophia, have sent her photo out to many.

Romey, Adia is just beautiful!

Oh I so love it when people post pictures!  She is just beautiful and reminds me of my Norman, a Maine Coon stray we had a couple of years ago.  He was just the fattest, most loveable guy and so laid back.  Sure do miss him.  He went MIA here in the woods and we figure a fisher got him, as every neighbor in the local area lost their cats in the same month.

But, yeah, I am IN LOVE with that neato fur bedspread and funky glittery purple pillow too!   My animals would go NUTS for that spread!

If you guys go for the surgery, make sure you give her a good talkin' too!  She ain't gettin' any younger!  But seriously, I wouldn't worry too awful much about her pushing herself.  Animals feel pain, just like us, and if she's hurtin', she'll (hopefully) learn her limits right quick.  Just go easy on the pain medications...they can mask pain and that will make themforget their injuries and they wind up doing not-so-smart stuff....this I know.  Keep us posted on how she's doing!

Romey I posted my comment on U-Tube
I said there God Bless all rescuers. I cannot describe the feelings I have after viewing this video. I guess heartbroken would be close.
i thought it was very cute and i can definitely relate. thanks for sharing romey! nm

chair
Ace Hardware and Walmart sells this stuff called Shoe Goo that works great on everything like this. It's a silicone in a tube, but is very sticky and lasts forever. I have used it on stuff in my house and even my car.
does your chair
put too much pressure under the knee using the foot pedal? if so, you might try doing like i do, and have foot pedal raised up on a little platform (build from wood/use books/boxes, anything for the height). Sometimes i feel too much pressure on the heel as well, and have used a beaded wrist rest under my heel.
So if I get a smaller chair...LOL
nm
My little one is laying on the arm of the chair
with his head hanging over the side. Every now and then he jerks his head back up when he starts to fall off! He's mad because I wouldn't let him lay on the nice warm laptop.
Nope, that's her chair only.

Wonder where the snowmen came from? Must have been a chain store that sold them. This one was in central Indiana...

Repairing chair

I saw this stuff at a car show that does the same thing as Mighty Putty, but it is a thinner liquidy type stuff and it worked really well.  I saw it at Hot August Nights this past year in Reno.  It worked really fast and is "sandable" - I watched the man work with it and it dries almost instantly and I wish I remembered the name.   Maybe if you go to some car restoration websites you will see it.  I think I remember that it was acrylic based and that you can add fibers to it if you wish.  If my chair died I would cry, so I hope you are able to fix it.  It does look fixable to me.  Good luck.

Rigged chair
Thanks for asking, meant to give an update, but forgot. Nice older man made the repair for me, owe him my life, or at least the life of my back. Love love this chair, out of it for 5 days, and oh the love I have for this chair, forgot how much I love this chair.

Called Herman Miller and they sent me to a chair repair place on the phone who said they would replace the seat of my chair for $250, which I was willing to pay, but thought I would try this fix first, still may get it in the future, but hey, may not be pretty, but it sure as he@ll works. Man friend said about the putty, you mean that Super BullS@it putty, so no I didn't try it.
Well, maybe they are terrified of the potty chair because we
missed the window of opportunity to teach them when they are younger. Here's just one of many articles on the topic:

http://www.pottytrainingconcepts.com/Potty-Training/Article-Cleveland-Plain-Dealer.htm

And a Google search with words like "disposable diapers" "American" "late potty training" will turn up lots more information along this vein.

People seem to think that training children early is cruel. But there are gentle techniques for teaching continence, and we need only be in tune with the signals children give. The later age of toilet training indisputably correlates to the introduction and widespread use of disposables in this country. Did you know that Dr. T. Berry Brazelton signed on as a spokesman with Proctor and Gamble back in the 1960's? He was paid a lot of money to promote disposables.

Disposables are a big business in this country. Advertising and time have erased the memory of a time when most American children were trained by age 2. It can be done. It takes a little patience, knowledge of gentle techniques, and lots of praise. Children do tell you when they are ready to train, but these days people don't know the the nonverbal cues that children give us. Instead, we wait for children to stand up, walk over and say, "I'm quite finished with using diapers from this point forward."

The tide is slowly turning again, however. Perhaps your grandchildren will be toilet trained at 18 months as more and more people discover that it's far easier to train a younger child than it is an older one. The older child has basically unlearned an unconscious thing. Most people will accept that it's easier to learn a new language when we're younger rather than older. It's exactly the same for toileting.
How about beach-chair position?
Doncha know the patient wishes they were really in a chair on the beach instead of in the operating room.

Looks like you guys need a bigger chair!
Boy, have they settled right in or what?!  That is absolutely wonderful!  You guys must be so happy!
Excellent Work Chair

GEEZ, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing!
I really do appreciate this laugh! LOL

Might want to change the angle or height of your chair to

Herman Miller Aeron Chair
Thanks Annie M, maybe I will never need a new seat. My brother was a welder, if he were alive, he would have fixed it for me. Great load has been lifted, please chair, never die on me again.
I remember sliding out of a chair and sleeping on the floor (sm)
at my MIL's house during first trimester. Just seemed to drop off so easily and they were soooooo boring.

Good luck to you. Hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy.
I read that and almost fell of my chair I was laughing so hard....
but that was my first impression too, eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww, that's gross and disgusting. LOL.
Find a lawyer, find out where you would stand - sm
in the event of a divorce/separation, regarding custody, house, etc. Custody was my main concern as well since I lied on numerous occasions about the finances. Where I am I was told that would not factor in to the custody at all. I can prove that I am my kids caregiver 90% of the time, I ferry they around everywhere, help with homework, get ready for school, meet at busstop, etc. I could also point out my husband is an alcoholic, self treats his depression with alcohol instead of getting proper medical treatment, has threatend to kill himself (or me) numerous times (though he always says he was joking and did not mean it.....that is his standard answer to everything, or that he never said that). Now I do love him enough to deal with all that because deep down inside my DH is full of it, luckily for me, he has never followed through on anything he says he is going to do. But I thought my confession would be the straw that broke it all and send him over the edge. He still is angry with me, I am sure he will be for a long time, but is keeping it together pretty well, though he has said the stress was going to kill him, now he know how I felt I guess. I am sorry your husband is such a smuck. I feel like a dog sometimes with the sex demands, have to do it the night before he goes out of town....he will be traveling a lot for work for the next 3-4 months, which I am more than glad about, much calmer here then, though it gets tiring for me but as he is not really helping much right now it really won't be much of a change. As for yours going on 5 day weekends.....have you considered having him followed, sounds like there may be some infidelity afoot, and if so that would strengthen your case in the event of a divorce and custody I would think. Sounds a bit fishy going out until 1 a.m. and his frequent trips. My DH fishes too, but he goes 2 miles from here with one of our male neighbors, they shoot the breeze and he gets to unwind some which I encourage. Very rare weekends with a buddy of his, I am talking once every 2 years, which again is fine with me. Start keeping track of all you do, when he is home, where he supposedly goes, with whom, etc. He cannot show he will be a responsible dad if he is never there or never interacts with his own kids. My DH would probably suggest I take our older daughter and he the younger, spliting them up, he has the same perception, the oldest is mine, the youngest is his. Our younger daughter is much easier to deal with, our older daughter drives him nuts and she is only 10. My younger one (8) knows something has been going one though, and worries we will divorce, which she does not want. She is very perceptive for her years. I hope that if you do go the divorce route, which would actually probably be best in your situation, that it all works out for you and you get your fair share of assets, etc. Make sure before you do anything like that you have all your ducks in a row, so talk to divorce lawyer. I talked to one for 45 minutes, cost me $160 but was worth it to set my mind at ease. Good luck.
Poll. The Nebraska high court decided that the electric chair is inhumane. What do you think? nm
I think it should be legal and used in certain circumstances. I mean, if DNA proves that the person committed the crime, confesses to it, is caught on tape - why can't the electric chair be used on them? What about the inhumanity that the "convict" used on his victims?
Need advice on a good, adjustable chair for typing. Any advice? nm

Please let us know if you find it...nm
Insert smiley face with crossed fingers here.
How do I find out
where this person has his banking account? I cannot believe a person would just snub their nose at a court action. Had it been the other way around, I am sure I would probably be under the jail as we speak!!
i find that

exercising daily helps and stretching REALLY REALLY  helps.  sometimes my entire back feels as if i have been beat with a baseball bat.  it is hard for anyone to understand unless they have the same condition.  also, not eating sugar helps me, especially my joints.  i take ibuprofen when i cannot stand it any more and then i take 600 to 800 mg every 3 hours for a couple days.  that eases the pain.  i do not take any other pain medication.

good luck to you and may you have more and more pain-free days.

cannot find this
Can you possibly e-mail with the info, I cannot access it as given for some reason. Thanks
What will they do when they find out

I would like to think he could find something
nm
Only way to find out if he is just not that into you.

Just find somebody else, have
the work done, and then send her the pictures of how beautiful it all turned out.

Be sure to tell her you paid a little more with this company, but it was worth it because they were so professional and quick with their service, but she was no "nice" and took such an "interest" in your welfare that you wanted to show her how nicely the project turned out. :oD
When you find out how to
make $$$$ being a beach bum, please let me know!!!!
Can't find that either!
Someone tell me, too. They said it is above where we post.. not seeing it. Sorry. . I'm havin' a bad one!
Hopefully that find the guy but at least..
they found that little girl and got her out of there.
If possible, see if you can find where she's going - sm
outside. Maybe she prefers that material to what's in the litter box. If she prefers dirt, you might try using that in the litter box to see if she'll start using it again. Then if she does, over time you could very gradually add litter to the dirt until it's 100% litter again. You might also try gradually adding kitty litter to the dirt outside where she's going as well, to help speed the transition along. Might not work but then again, who knows? It just might.

The other thing is, it takes a LOT to get the cat-urine smell out of the rug. Cats can smell much more keenly than we can, and it has to be 100% removed. Not easy. Don't use any household cleaners with ammonia in them, that'll just attract her. After thorough scrubbing, you might try something like "Nature's Miracle" to remove the rest of the odor. You could also try putting a small, inexpensive area-rug over that area, just to be SURE she can't smell it. Or even something like that indoor-outdoor fake grass stuff used for wiping your feet on...or anything else a cat might not want to walk on.

If your kitty's an indoor/outdoor kitty, maybe installing a small cat-door might help solve the problem?

One of mine (indoor-only) is the Queen of litterbox avoidance. Never used the rug, but is attracted to linoleum. I started out her rehab by caging her & "crate-training" her like a puppy, and also purchased Dr. Elsey's "Cat-Attract" litter, which is pricey but helped quite a bit.

She finally started using her litter boxes (she has THREE...), but is still inexplicably drawn to linoleum. Luckily there's not much of it in this apt., so I took temptation out of her reach by putting up pet-gates in front of the bathroom (real fun to trip over in the middle of the night, but heck - it works!), and also blocking off the kitchen (where I, as a non-cook, rarely go, anyway.)

The most important thing is to get creative, and to not give up.

This is the only pic I could find
of me in a dress, for comparison. Of course this was 21 years ago, and my hair was different in this picture, but I still think it shows the difference I'm talking about.
If you find any, let me know
I'm 25 and make more money than average college students. I just applied two places for a student loan and was denied. My credit isn't great (some medical bills on there that were past due but have now been paid), but it's not horrible either. My mother's credit is currently worse than mine, so having her cosign would do me no good. I really think companies are making it more difficult to get these loans (as I got one last year when my credit was worse and I made less money). So, I'm stuck trying to work as much as possible to pay for books and tuition myself. No fun. I wish you the best of luck, I know it's tough. I know when I was younger I couldn't get grants because my parents made too much money. Now that they don't include my parents in the calculation, they say I make too much money.

Sorry I don't have great advice! All I can say is research scholarships and apply for them like crazy!!
he may find his own way out, but
just in case you ever run across a poisonous snake and manage to cut his head off, do not reach toward it. There is a "heat sink" reflex and the darn thing can still bite you.
Trying to find someone...
When I first started MTing earlier this year I had corresponded with an MT named Deb out of Florida. We became friends but she had to deal with some personal stuff and in the interim we lost touch. I'm just wondering if anyone knows who I'm talking about? I'm really concerned and would like to know she is okay!

first find out what you
25 years ago is a long time. I would be very clear about what I wanted before I mentioned it. If you want to apologize to your sisters that is one thing, but if you want him to that is another.....
I also find myself
I think boys just have enormous skulls that are still growing and their jaws and necks are turning into men's jaws and necks also. Just make sure he is wearing his retainer! The wisdom teeth will soon be causeing more trouble!
Not that I can find - however,
you can have your comcast e-mail forwarded to yahoo so you can get a notification.
I cannot believe that they could not find them
especailly as your nephew was in jail! There are records! Or through their passports.
You, as you got so much money, could have employed a private investigator, do it now!
