I was at a friend's house once. Her son was whining because he wasn't allowed to have dessert because he didn't eat his dinner. I asked him what they had for dinner. He said Spam, and I said I didn't blame him, I wouldn't eat it either. His mom got mad at me!

Used to love Spam before I knew sm
what was in it. I also used to love deviled ham sandwiches before I knew what was in those cans. Sometimes knowledge is not good! I became a label reader, now I only eat healthy foods. Everything that was bad for me sure tasted good though. I find myself making from scratch like my mom and can appreciate how clever she was in the hard times. I was spoiled because I wasted my money on prepared food or takeout. Oh well, can't unring the bell! Doing okay but staying home more, buying in bulk what's on sale, I find restaurant food is sometimes "old" and not that good anymore, I don't see them doing the business they used to do. If we do go out, I am sure to go where the parking lot is always crowded and the turnover is good. I do have hope for the future and think things will turn around. I feel bad for those losing their homes, I really do. I get angry when I see volume depleting in packaging. Sometimes you think you have enough for a recipe and they've cut the quantity and disguised the packaging to look pretty much the same. Beware of this tactic. Let's just hope this slump is temporary for everyone.
