We have Fluff

We love Fluff here in New York. We have something similar to the oatmeal cookie, but it's a chocolate chip cookie. We have something called tomato pie here that no one knows what it is, but I love it. It's basically like a pizza, but it's served cold and there's usually just sauce and a little bit of cheese sprinkled on it. Yum.

in the south we still have FLUFF! sm
Being originally from Michigan (Detroit area) one of the biggest items that is native to the area is Vernors ginger ale You can get it in some stores in the south but in Michigan you can get it in the restaurants etc. Its kind of like one of those drinks you either love or hate and there is no in between. I was raised on it and LOVE IT!

Now living in the south, "southern food" being the thing, good and fattening! haha

Never heard of your oatmeal/ice cream cookie thing but it sure sounds good!
Fluff/marshmallow cream
I grew up on Fluff - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the stuff. We have marshmallow cream out here but not fluff, and the marshallow cream here is heavy and thick. Fluff is light and airy. Anyway...growing up we always used the receipe on the fluff jar. All I remember was using Fluff, chocolate chips and i think some butter (but its' been over 30 years since I've made it). All I know it was very very easy.
Fluff is still sold in PA. In my area,

we have a mixture of foods since our area is diverse ethnicities. We have all kinds of PA Dutch, Lithiuainin (sp), Italian, Irish Polish, Mexican (yes thanks to a town a little north of here that is 30% Mexican now), so there is not one particular food.

My favorites are scrapple w/vinegar and eggs,  funnel cake, Kluskie, halupkies, perogies, HOT BOLOGNA (yeah! good and spicy). Hot bologna is probably local to our area alone. How about ring bologna, which is used to make the hot bologna.

Boy scout son used to make pepperoni and marshmallow fluff roll-ups for the trail.
