I had heard Vitamin D was a good source for bones,
of course and being as I along with others on here do not get out as much as we should sometimes, had heard maybe I should take. I have pain in my ribs (checked for other things and scans, x-rays turned out ok) so started this morning with 4000 units. Anyone else take and if so what dosage? My ribs were hurting before I got out of bed and since seem to be feeling some better.
Glad you found it nm
:-)
Aw, I'm glad you found each other.
I'm sure the cats will be working together, pinning you to the bed for naps in no time, LOL.

Glad to have found another fan
If you can believe it, I have one friend who lives across the street who has never heard of them! And the women I bowl with never have either. Their Website is www.maroon5.com. I put their CD on my list for Christmas (the new one they have with a DVD- do you have that one)? I'll have to look out for the 90210 episode. They were on CSI Miami last month and I forgot all about it and missed it. I was upset that I didn't join their Fan Club. The fan club members got a Meet & Greet at our concert :(. I'll know better next time.
OK, I found her last post, glad she's ok! nm

I'm glad you did too - it really means a lot to the person
It means the world to them to get something so simple as a card.
You sound like a very wise person and I a glad to that
he did understand.  Over-the-top is never good.  Not for an adult and certainly not for a child.  A gift with meaning and purpose is more cherished than a trunk load of junk and will be remembered, not thrown away.
Aww, poor thing. Glad you found it in time...sm
If it is still out there in the morning and you are not sure what to do, try giving a veterinarian a call and see if they have a wildlife rescue place you could call.  The vet I worked for years ago had a list of places to refer caring people like you.  Good luck.
I have never personally heard of a single person who was glad they got one.
A rental property some place would be a far better idea than a timeshare.
glad to see you look at it this way! Really good idea! Have a good season! nm

That is so great!!! Glad to hear!! nm

How pathetic...so glad to have a great husband who..
treats me wonderfully. Sounds like some of you are either too timid to say anything, too wrapped up in the financial aspect of marriage and are money hungry, or just plain crazy. Wonderful examples for your children, especially daughters!
My MIL is really a good person sm
She raised her son to be a wonderul husband and father.  She is a fabulous grandmother.  She has rarely tried to tell me how to raise my children, usually she just makes innocent suggestions.  I really like her but she is a dingbat.  A very lovable dingbat.  Even my DH agrees.  She just called me to ask about a gift for my daughter and while on the phone her other line rang.  She said good-bye and then put me on hold.  Now when I try to use my phone I hear music.  I have no signal on my cell right now (typical on a cloudy day) so I can't call to tell her.  ARRRRGGGGHHHH!
You are wise and a very good person (sm)
Your daughter and granddaughter are very lucky to have you, especially your granddaughter.

Everything you said is true.

The best thing I ever did for my kids after divorce was never to say an unkind word about their father, never put them in the middle, and the parade of frogs was a definite no-no!

Your advice was excellent. You SHOULD write a book!! As many divorces as there are any more, you would think this issue would have more emphasis in some form of media.
My father not a good person at all
some girls are lucky but I lost out on having a decent one. Like I said, best man have ever met is my hubs, hands down.
I found this link for you. This should help get you something. Good luck. sm

Sounds like you found a good therapist sm
we went through a horrible spell last year - daughter 17 wanted to get married a month before she turned 18, my husband supported this idea - she just graduated in May, no job, no license, no means of support and husband to be was just graduating, etc.  They are good kids but very young.  Husband supported her all the way and I was the bad guy for making her think things through hoping she would slow down a bit, etc.  Therapist made her dad get more involved but they did marry and now she rarely if ever speaks to me - she looks at me as nonsupportive.  Does not matter I busted my butt to see she had the wedding she wanted, etc.  I'm just numb at this point with her - she'll come around some day. In the mean time the ocnflicts between me and DH have stopped but his nonsupport will hurt for a logn time also.  I believe parents should always be a team.
Gracie has been adopted with a good person

Dobermans are misunderstood.  They love their people, they are protective and noble.  They love to follow you around the house and be with you.  They need patience in training.  They love to run.  Please, if anyone knows of an abusive case, get invovled.  Visit Doberman Rescue.

I found this one for a creamy version. never tried it, but it sounds good. sm

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

2 tablespoons butter
1 cup cottage cheese (not lowfat)
2 cups milk (not skim)
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Pinch cayenne
Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 pound sharp or extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated
½ pound elbow pasta, uncooked.

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees and position an oven rack in upper third of oven. Use 1 tablespoon butter to butter a 9-inch round or square baking pan.

2. In a blender, purée cottage cheese, milk, mustard, cayenne, nutmeg and salt and pepper together. Reserve ¼ cup grated cheese for topping. In a large bowl, combine remaining grated cheese, milk mixture and uncooked pasta. Pour into prepared pan, cover tightly with foil and bake 30 minutes.

3. Uncover pan, stir gently, sprinkle with reserved cheese and dot with remaining tablespoon butter. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes more, until browned. Let cool at least 15 minutes bef

I am glad I am good at something
I may not be an experienced MT - but I am so glad I can help someone do something.

The skin is loose on a turkey. So, just lift the skin up (do not worry about the back, drumsticks, or wings) and stick that butter mixture in there. It will look lumpy but it will melt down. BTW, if you want, you can place the turkey on potato halves. This will ensure that the turkey does not get soggy on the bottom. After cooking, make sure you let it rest for about 20 minutes before slicing.
Good for you, I am glad you have taken - sm
some action. I know it is no picnic for you but it really is the only way to get through to him probably. This way the police friend will also start to see how nuts he is.
Good news! Glad all went well.

Glad you got some good news to
make you feel a little better.

Pleaes do post updates as you can. Hope the radiation isn't too rough.
Now I see - glad you had good luck with it all then. nm

I'm glad they have a good relationship, too, but it's NOT
superficial to know your spouse's past history including his education.  Why be so secretive about something so mundane?  Is she going to love him any less (or more) whether he did or didn't finish high school - probably not.  Is it going to change how he treats her now if she knows - probably not.  Even if it changed everything about their relationship, she's still his wife, and to not know his education level after 30+ years of knowing each other is just a wee bit strange to me.  Once again, in my opinion, he's supposed to be her best friend, her confidante, the one person in the world she can trust anything to.  Why the evasiveness?  JMO

Glad to hear the good news -sm
Thanks for the update. That is good news! You have eased my mind about having it done, and I hope to do it real real soon. I know I've put it off long enough. Your messages have been so encouraging and much appreciated. I'll keep watching in case you post any more good news. ;-)
Am glad someone is good with around the house projects
I can, hmmmm, transcribe? After that, pretty much downhill but I am really spoiled by him and only wish I had just a 4th of his talents. We are some lucky women!
Glad you guys had a good time

My boys are probably too young to have been at a Crowes performance anyway, but I did think about how cool they would have been at school the next day.  Goin' in all groggy-eyed and wearing their "tour shirts" that he was insisting on, which was the other reason we didn't go . . . LOL!!!

Maybe in a few years

Glad he had good people for the end. I know he appreciated it.

Hugs

Glad to hear the good news! Now.......

RE: Giving dogs bones
I was just wondering if any dog owners out there give their pups bones. I know to avoid chicken bones and such but what about marrow bones from the butcher, are they safe to give?
If you do give your dog bones, watch it.

Our dog loves bones. A friend of ours gave her a 2-1/2 foot smoked femur bone from beef cattlle and she had it gone in 2 days.

Ever since she was a pup, she would throw up every couple days. I started watching and logging everything we gave her and cut everything, then started adding everything back one at a time. Turns out, bones make her throw up. So no more bones unless they are the very thick ones that she can't break and swallow. In fact, she has a bone in the living room right now that is bare, but still solid after a year. She chomps on it when she is bored, but she can't eat it.

also, glad to see you gave rescue dog a good home

Glad to hear your tests turned out good..
I wonder if some people are more susceptible to cysts than others? Have you had anymore cysts?

I have one on my head (hidden under hair), a lipoma on my forearm (need to get it x-rayed though as it has been driving me crazy lately) and an ovarian cyst (My GYN left it in place just in case it was helping the pregnancy). I found out about the ovarian cyst when I was pregnant for my twins. They were actually triplets at first (with one growing in the tube) so at 6 weeks, we had to have surgery. I was heartbroken to lose a baby but feel so blessed and lucky that the other 2 made it and have done well since. They are now 2 strong, active little boys and were 1 day from being full-term :)
Bones, House, Criminal Minds, and sm
all of the CSIs. I'm a big fan of the forensic shows. If I was younger and in better health, I would go into forensice science.
House, Bones, Fringe. Then on Saturday...
the son and I watch COPS and America's Most Wanted. Sundays are AFV and Extreme Makeover. When we are someplace with cable, Dirty Jobs, Myth Busters, and How Do They Do That.

But if we miss the shows, no one is too upset about it.
Sounds good to me. Glad girls are involved in video

That's great! Good for him. lol

That's great! Good for him AND you! Over $6/pk here...
so at over a pack per day I could save about 250.00 per month and could be driving a Mercedes instead of a Chevy! I actually have a part time job that pretty much covers the cigarette bill. How sad when you think about it that way :(
That is such great news. Good for her....
That is wonderful for you as well.  You must be so proud.  Best wishes to her new path in life!  I love bragging on my kids, too, and I thank them each night when I tuck them in (12 and 7 years) for giving me reasons to brag, and they just smile!  That never gets old, ya' know?  Enjoy  !
Great - Sounds good to me
My accountant will be filing ours within the next few weeks.
That was great. Needed a good laugh

to buy a swimsuit - very low prices. Oh, how could I forget? I got a really cute bikini on ebay this spring and I loved it! I don't walk around wearing a bikini, but I do like to wear bikini tops around our pool and it was a really nice piece. It was around 5.00 brand new. Good luck.
Are you a night person or a morning person?
Just curious . . .
It probably varies from person to person (sm)

With me, first child I was out of the bed seriously within 5 minutes of having him.  I didn't tear or have to be cut, he was 7 pounds, 3 ounces.  The doctor did some type of vaginal massage on me though while I was in labor and that was supposed to help loosen the vaginal wall?

Second child, same experience.  She was 8 pounds, 1 ounce and within 5 minutes of having her, while they took her to the nursery to get cleaned up and all, I walked downstairs with my husband to the cafeteria to get a drink and stretch my legs.  I had already put my regular clothes back on as well.  My doctor who delivered her was walking in my room as I was walking in and he was stunned a second and said he thought I was a visitor, LOL, not the patient.

I don't think you have to have bed rest in normal cases.  With my son I went home within 24 hours with him and with my daughter we went home in only 20 hours.

Limbo. Great song, great game. Also,

The girls all line up and walk through a room as if they are modeling on the catwalk. Get a couple of bright colored boa's from the party store. It's a real riot and the kids have a blast especially if a couple of brave boys grab a boa and do it too.  We've had many a birthday party doing this and it was totally hilarious.
