by parents who fail to instill moral values in their children from an early age and teach them right from wrong. This is what is wrong with our youth and young adults today. Somebody with some degree somewhere along the line has brainwashed parents into the belief that disagreeing with our children over anything of consequence will bruise their little egos.

In the situation you described, I would first of all make certain my child understood, above all else, that I love him/her. I would explain to them that God does not approve of their choice to be gay (and yes, I do believe it is a choice. I do not believe there is proof otherwise.) and that I do not approve of it either. Then that would be that.... No harping, no nagging, no bringing it up over and over again.

I honestly pray that your child never decides that they are gay and tells you.
