ex SIL

You hit the nail on the head. We have the same type of husband when it comes to sports and the boys, and my boys are "elite" athletes. Who they play for is important. I've never really had a say in that part of their lives. I'm between a rock and a hard place because if I hindered my son by not allowing him to go, he would resent me for it. He WANTED to go. I really appreciate your advice regarding my SIL because I know it is true - as they get older they see how she really is and in fact my oldest already has. SIL is quite a manipulator and I know what goes around comes around eventually. I will have a discussion with my son and make a few things clear and until he comes back home when school is done, I will make sure I'm still a HUGE part of his life. Thanks again.
