How do you know when you're about to have a nervous breakdown? I think I'm on the edge. I'm struggling with depression and I'm getting to the point where I don't want to leave the house or even get out of bed. I can't even do the housework. All I can think of is to work. I too work about 10 hours a day. Had tried to keep Saturdays free, but now am working then too. I lost my job to outsourcing and am so afraid I'm going to lose my jobs, I have three part time jobs. I used to take Cymbalta but now with no insurance I can't afford it. I take Prozac but doesn't seem to help. I have 7 animals that depend on me and can just manage to take care of them. I live alone. If I don't work, I feel lazy and guilty.  I tried to do something I enjoy last night and just didn't enjoy myself like I usually do and wished I had just stayed home.
Thanks for letting me vent.

She is a smart lady. She's governor of her state and they were really glad to have her back as governor. I watched an expert on MSNBC talking about her interviews and he said in all fairness she was not treated with respect and she was nervous.
She is a very smart lady and I'm sorry others are so bitter they can't see it.
I am getting really nervous about gas prices
creeping back up again. In my area it went from $1.59 to the present price of $1.99 a gallon. Any hope that it won't get to $4.00 again?

Well...I am always nervous about letting my kids do things like that (sm)
But I usually let them do it. However, it would depend on the parents. I mean if the guy reeks of alcohol - how bad? Do you mean he drinks a beer or two on the weekends or is he a drunk? Will he be driving your son in a car or boat? If so, I would not be comfortable with that. I have said no at times if I am uncomfortable for a reason, but I always have to think it through and see if there is real danger or if I am just being me - a worry wart. I would find out if that dad is going, if he will be driving the car, if he will be driving a boat, etc. and make my decision from that.
It may be that your daughter is just nervous when she puts papers
in the folder because it sounds like she is being watched like a hawk. No child needs that, especially at this very young age. I don't blame you for being upset. This can be damaging to a child. I would take very little more, if any of that behavior from the teacher. You have a right to go above her with this complaint. Good luck!

maybe cuz i grew up very poor and just nervous about what to wear, how to act, where we are going, etc. and will i fit in. best part of the story is i was the one who posted about a month ago about getting out of a horrible relationship with an addict/abuser and wanting to stay single so i have had a hard life with a horrible man and this is my first date since single. yes, a little too soon i agree, but i can't pass the opportunity to go out with a doctor and he will IM me in between seeing pts and it is so funny and he is so sweet. he'll just pop up and say what kinda report you typing on now, you having a good day, etc. maybe at least it will make him think twice when he is dictating, LOL.

Know how I remember how to spell
chihuahua - I always say to myself chee hooa hooa and that's how I remember how to spell it. I have a chi myself and I could never remember how to spell it when I went to get dog license. :)
Spell Checkers
I am looking to purchase a spell checker today or this weekend. Any preferences out there. I have downloaded Spellex and been practicing with it. Everyone says purchase Stedman's, it is cheaper than Spellex, but is it better. I would like advise from some experienced Transcriptionist on the subject.
I can never spell corroborate - i have it
every misspelling I have ever done in my expander. Also, I seem to have a different word every day that I spell wrong, no matter what, consistently.

it out very clearly. When I first read your post, I knew who HE was but I guess some others did not get it. I guess IDOL RESULTS should be everyones heading, and then if they read it, oh well.
My sister's dogs can spell.
You can't even spell D-O-G P-A-R-K in front of them or they go whacko. Her dogs can also bring you the particular toy you ask for. The pig, or the bunny, or the hedgehog, LOL.
Doctors who spell out simple words,
and leave you hang out to dry on the most obscure term or referring physician spelling if it is an odd name. I'll be darn though, they will spell out "the" t-h-e, p-a-t-i-e-n-t, but never the hard stuff... . ????? I wonder why? People using cell phones when they are driving and not paying attention. People that pull out in front of you, and then go 5 mph. I hate it when the grocery bagger puts all the soap products in with my meat or food goods! Great, now the roast smells like Dove Cucumber and Melon bar soap? Hubby is going to think this is delicious!!!!! UUGGHH!
Good, cheap spell checkers? (sm)
Does anyone know a good medical spellchecker that is fairly cheap? My c drive crashed today - just got it fixed - and I cannot find my Stedman's CD anywhere. I need to work tomorrow so I want to get something on here quick. There are lots of others out there but I don't know anything about them. I had downloaded one at one point that would automatically correct my words when my spelling was very close. Would love to find that one again but don't remember what it was.

I still stand by, when i use my debit or credit card it's no less time than writing a check. "was the checker friendly today" "is this amount okay" "please sign here" or "do you want cash back" and then the final OKAY. And most people I see writing checks are elderly people, so I don't blame them. If you are in that much of a hurry then go at a time when there's NOT gonna be a line. geesh

It may sound snotty, but I switched eye doctors just because the receptionists ignored me standing at the desk, but doting on the male that walked in the door behind me. No way I would put up with what you did UNLESS he/she was an exceptional doctor. If you really like this Dr., then always get the day's first appointment. If you can, check out other places to compare. I went to 3 dentists before deciding the first one was the best for me. Sorry you had such a rough experience. The guy you went to needs a partner, and I don't' mean an intern.

We have a produce store right down the street. They sell dairy, meats, breads, snacks, canned good, but the produce is what I go for.
Bananas are usually 3 lb. for $1, red peppers in the winter are 2 for $1, green 3 and sometimes 4 for $1, packaged radishes 3 bags for $1, lemons and limes 6 for $1, apples are $1 a basket, and globe tomatoes are 2 pints for $1. Fresh white mushrooms are 99 cents a pound and portabellos are $1.99 a pound (expensive in my eyes but fresh). cukes 4 for $1. They have fresh zuchini, egglant, yellow squash, yellow and orange peppers, asparagus, fresh herbs, you name it. Oh, they did up the price on lettuce and celery. They used to be 2 for $1 and now they're $1 a piece. They sell potatoes loose or by the basket, usually no more than $1.50. A 50 pound bag of red or white potatoes last week was $11.95.
They also sell bread at 2 loaves for $1.75. It used to be 2 loaves for $1.25.
I love this store but if I don't get there as soon as they open, I can't get in. It gets packed and there's not a parking spot to be found. Gee, wonder why?

Well, we just got back from getting pool supplies. This is our third summer, we used Baquacil the first 2 years, dh said we were switching to chlorine this year because it is so much cheaper! Anybody done this before, I wanted to keep the Baquacil because of the grandbabies, but was just wondering about the switching.. any & all info appreciated.. tia.. gina

i had a dog get attacked and killed about a month ago by another dog in my own fenced back yard. never seen the attacker dog before in my life nor again since the incident. you can't always protect your pets just like you can't always protect your children, but yet you have to give them some freedom. would you lock your children up in the house never to go outdoors because of the violence? i think not. the OP has a valid point and her SIL is being extremely disrespectful and careless with her dogs.
to the OP, i would tell MIL that she is responsible for those dogs while they are in "her care" and to do whatever it takes to keep them off your property. you have the right to protect you home, your property, and your animals. i'd get a bb-gun and shoot them until they learned to stay out of your yard.

Looking to quit my job.
I had recently 2 weeks ago barrowed $2500 from my 401k in order to make ends meet during the holiday season. I am unhappy with my current employer and would like to look for another job but they say that if I leave before that loan is paid off then I will have 3 months to pay it back (i cannot) or I have to pay tax penelties. Well my question is,would it go on this years taxes or next years taxes if I quit before 12/31
I have never taken anything to help me quit, but (sm)
I have quit several times for years at a time, and I always did it cold turkey. The only way I got through it was because I TRULY WANTED TO QUIT. Is it possible that they really don't WANT to quit, they just THINK THEY SHOULD? This may not make sense to a nonsmoker, but that is the point I am at now. I know I should quit, just don't want to, and I don't believe I would no matter what I took. It's a mindset, I think.
Then just keep doing what you are doing and quit
complaining and live with it.
