I don't know where you are from but out on the west coast, the east coast, the midwest, and the southwest if you live in an apartment they cannot dictate to you whether or not you can smoke in your own home. There are houses for rent that say no smoking, but in apartments this is your home. Your personal living area. People don't dictate to their tenants what they can or cannot do in their own home. That's like saying you cannot wear shoes in your home or you cannot sleep on the couch, you must sleep in the bedroom. I don't smoke, and I can't stand smoking, and I wish all the tobacco companies would dry up and go away, however, if a person wants to smoke in their own home that is their business. I can see not having smoking in areas that other people have to walk through to get to their apartment, but not in your own apartment. They just don't do it.
