I have heard of people getting pregnant with IUDs in place in the past...Not sure about the current ones.
In any case...they are pregnant and I am not one for abortion. I would suggest to them after this child is born that they have permanent sterilization.
Unfortunately, you have been supplementing them by paying for their utilities and that is not fair to you. I would suggest that they learn to take care of their own children and finances and if they cannot afford their bills on what they have for income that they cut out unnecessary expenses like cable, 2 cars down to 1, no cell phone, etc...things that are not necessary. They should also get in contact with their local social service department to see if they qualify for any additional help for their utilities so that it isn't left up to you to foot the bill. They need to learn to be accountable for their own family, but I would cut out the cash assistance to them as it is only enabling their situation even though you mean well for your son and grandchildren. They have to learn to fend for themselves, as you will not always be able to bail them out. You sound like a wonderful mother.
