I think I was feeling sarcastic that night, it seemed the comments were like sledgehammers and I did not see anything about actual talk or discussion. The girl is 17 years old. I think that is a real fly-off-the-handle stage. If you hit them too hard at that age they'll just move out and sleep on a friend's couch for a few months. That was always one of my biggest fears because then you have absolutely no control and things really get dangerous.
