I don't blame you at all for being mad. I do think that you should tell her why you are so mad. At the least if the two of you can't iron things out then maybe she will think twice before saying or doing something like this to someone else. Then if she doesn't try to fix things at least with a simple I'm sorry for closure, move on. Without knowing either person, its hard to say if this woman thought that she was helping you and didn't realize how it sounded or if she was just being a witch. If the latter is the case, then certainly 'dust your feet off' and move on. I hope you get some closure with this either way.
